Come and spend some time at a direct-to-consumer dairy farm. Our cows are called Dutch Belted. They are often referred to as Oreo cows. Stay on the farm where the milk is produced, processed, and sold. The farm store is a short distance away and sells a large variety of farm foods.
The farm consists of about 200 acres of pasture and creek bottom. The owner, Loyd, has lived on the farm all his life.
We are right beside what used to be a Navy base... yeah in Kansas.:) The runway still gets used for gliders. So you might see a glider being pulled up while you are here.

My great-grandfather purchased this land in 1921 and since then, my family has been farming the best way that we knew how. For the last 30 years, that has meant a divergence from traditional farming practices to focus on regenerative farming-- farming that focuses on enriching the health of the soil and the animals instead of depleting it.On our farm, we raise beef, lamb, pigs and chickens and they all live out on pasture. Our customers drive from all parts of central Kansas to shop at Jako Farm because our food is different than food in the grocery store. That's why we've started hosting guests on hipcamp so that you can truly experience what's special about our farm. Each location provides a unique perspective on our farm, and you'll engage a different part of our story at each place. The cows and sheep will graze near by while the chickens scratch in the distance. You'll see the farmers moving the animals to new pasture and the llama playing games with the sheep. If you're up at sunrise, you'll see Ken bringing the cows up to the barn for milking (April through November). Its pretty quiet here, except for the subtle noises of wildlife. (Fair warning: if you're in a tent, you will probably hear the milking machine kick on at 6:30am.) We're also proud to be a smell-free farm because all animals live out on pasture. There are killer sunrises and sunsets here. If you're lucky, you'll also see our resident bald eagle pair soaring through the sky.A bathroom with shower is available for your use in the barn nearby.Please be respectful of farm operations, although we're always open to answering questions if you see us around. The view of the stars was amazing. It was fun having all the farm animals around. It was quiet all night, and we knew with a flock of guinea hens roosting behind us, that no one was going to sneak up on us while we were sleeping. Lol. Erma was in touch by message if we needed anything.

We stayed at the farm for 8 nights and it was Amazing. Erma has thought of everything from the beautiful setting of the campsite to the hookups! No stinky water here. Erma is so very nice and we felt like we were at home. Hanging out with all the animals was such a treat! We were in town visiting family and my niece’s loved hanging out at the farm feeding all the animals and cooking on the campfire. I fell in love with Kona Ermas dog and was soon out buying her some cookies and toys. We will definitely be back again and this will be my first choice! Thank you Erma for making our vacation so wonderful!

We absolutely loved this spot! Full hookups, tons of privacy, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and great access for our big rig (45' toy hauler). We enjoyed watching the cows come in and out of the field for milking each day, as well as the funny guinea hens pecking about. The farm store is AMAZING - delicious milk, butter, yogurt, ice cream, eggs, breads, canned goods...I could go on. DEFINITELY make sure you stop into the store!
We spent a week here at the farm and each night we walked down Halstead Rd for a bit to stretch our legs and most evenings we saw an Amish horse and buggy go by which was a fun treat. We enjoyed exploring Yoder and Hutchinson - what a great area overall.
We've stayed at several HipCamps in the last year and this one was our favorite so far. We will be back!!!

Had a wonderful night at Jaco Farm. We arrived early evening and was greeted after we started setting up camp. The hosts were very nice and let us know the layout of the place. There is a very nice picnic table next to the silo along with a very clean full bath available in the farm store and is accessible 24/7. The store is filled with the fine products the farm provides. We purchased some sausage and several cheeses. It was a quiet night with a beautiful view of the property. I highly recommend this spot.

Beautiful camping spot overlooks the working farm. Being able to walk the quiet roads running between the pastures was delightful. Enjoyed the birds and live stock. Nice sunset and star viewing.
