Nestled just east of Kingman, Kansas, the Champion Ridge farmstead offers a unique blend of history and hospitality, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a charming getaway. Established in 1937 by R.J. Stucky, the farmstead has deep roots in agriculture, with Dave’s father, Martin, expanding it into a thriving grain and livestock operation. In the 1940s, the family began milking cows in a hay barn, leading to the construction of a state-of-the-art dairy barn in 1951. This barn housed a Holstein herd of 30-45 cows until 1963, after which it transitioned to storage. In 2011, the vision of transforming the historic dairy barn into a cozy bed and breakfast came to life. Much of the Inn's design was creatively sketched on dinner napkins during family meals, showcasing the personal touch that went into its creation. Local contractors, many of whom are longtime friends, played a vital role in bringing this project to fruition. Guests can enjoy a nostalgic experience as they explore various artifacts from the dairy's operational days, transporting them back to the 1950s and 60s.
