A hidden gem in Topeka, KS. Roughly 44 acres and 41 buildings and cabins for your stay. We have a creek that runs through the property and you can bring your kayak or fishing poles. We also have roughly 3 miles of wooded trails for you to explore. There is a playground for the kids to play on, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball pit. This is very camp at the lake style. Bedding is not included for camp bunk beds. Cabins do not have restrooms built in, but we have shower houses on site for you to use. They do have electricity, heat, and air conditioning. I went past the driveway the first time and then doubled back, kate's three pink flamingos next to her mailbox helped me locate it right away. Kate was warm and welcoming and I got to actually feed her goats! Her three dogs were very lovable and curious upon my arrival. The hip camp spot had a nice view of the back 40 and the pond beyond it. Enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend if you're in the Kansas City area.

Kate’s Hipcamp site is the best. Did our yearly trip w both kids and their friends. Despite the rain, we had fun. The goats, chickens, and dogs are fun to hang out with. The land is wide open, the barn is a nice shelter when it rains. Would recommend for anyone! Kate is the best host, we have done this 4-5 years in a row now.

Overall we had a great time camping here. Kate was friendly and helpful, our campsite was a great spot, secluded with a great view of the stars at night. Our kids had a lot of fun interacting with the dogs and feeding the goats. The only issue we had was with one of the dogs on the site, they woke us up several times at night barking right outside our tent. They also tore into our trash bag that was hanging 3-4 feet off the ground. Make sure to dog-proof your campsite before turning in, and bring some ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

I took my grandsons aged 12 and 9 in my travel trailer. There is a wonderful dock, benches, deck chairs, and a fire pit. The beautiful pond and biting fish kept the boys happy along with building a fire. There is a shed which we visited in the evening for a shower and to watch tv. The most perfect views. I hope to make it back someday. Hosts are lovely people with beautiful children.

I took my 9 yr old here for his first tent camping experience that wasn't our backyard. It was a success thanks to Kate's setup. I taught him more about fishing at the pond, taught him how to set up our new tent, and showed him how to heat up water in a campfire setup. Her dogs were a sweet treat as I'm still dealing with the loss of my dog of 13 years. We also loved feeding the chickens and the goats <3 Definitely recommend this place!

My daughter, dogs, and I stayed in our tent by the pond. It was quiet and secluded but we were also just a few minutes drive from groceries and anything else we might have needed. The mowed paths were great, they gave us a map of all the paths on the property. My daughter loved playing in the pond and watching the fish. We ran to town and bought floatie chairs to add to the fun. In the morning there was a family of geese with five babies that floated around on the pond while we packed up. I felt safe and had a relaxing time. Hosts are very kind and helpful.
