Threshold Learning Center is 28 acres of prairie, creek, woods, and our barn dormitory. Threshold is first, an outdoor learning center for schools during the school year, and a summer camp offering several day camps, family camps, and trips. As a non-profit, however, we are constantly trying to find a way to offer our programs to everyone regardless of whether they are able to pay our fees while still making enough money to stay open. We started renting TLC to the public 5 years ago for weddings, reunions, or just families who are looking to connect to the world around them. Our motto is "No Child Left Inside" and we want every inner child to enjoy what we have at TLC. We have 7 bedrooms in our dormitory, 5 camp sites, a large camp fire ring, a mini-golf course, and we are always willing to lead your group in an educational experience or take you on a hayrack ride.

Pitch your tent or park your camper for a peaceful overnight stay on our spacious front acre. This area is set away from the main house, giving you plenty of privacy and quiet. Surrounded by several trees, it’s a simple, natural spot where you can unwind under the stars.
There are no on-site amenities such as water, power, or restrooms, so please come prepared to camp off-grid. A fire ring is provided so you can enjoy a cozy campfire in the evenings. Firewood is available for a free-will donation, able to be paid at our roadside farm stand (cash or digital options).
This is a great spot for travelers passing through, weekend adventurers, or anyone looking for an easy, rustic place to stay close to nature while still being conveniently located.
To enhance your small-town vibe, right to the north of us is New Hartford (out the driveway to the left, and quick right). They've got a creamery, the Royal Blue bar & grill, a Caseys, and a Dollar General. Dike is to the south of us about 10 min and has the Joyful Java coffee shop and The Slice sports bar & restaurant. Or check out downtown Cedar Falls for all of their great shops, bars, and restaurants...they're to the east about 10 min.

Acreage on a gravel road with many shade trees surrounded by farm land. Easy access from Highway 20, Interstate 380, and Avenue of the Saints making it great for an overnight stop from your travels. Although our Hound Dog is no longer here to alert us of your arrival, we will still keep a lookout and personally greet you when you come on the yard. This was a gem of a find. We booked this last minute, and Ryan was incredibly responsive and welcoming. The place is immaculate and well-kept and it is clear they have put thought into the layout and to the amenities for RVers. We were the only ones staying that night. We were able to walk around and enjoy the tree farm and play with the dogs. It was a super peaceful night. What a beautiful place! It is worth the 10 mile trek off of 35 for such a peaceful lovely place with water and electric!
Bonus there is a free RV dump station in Iowa Falls, right next to the armory. Huge pull in and easy access for any size RV.

We stopped at Sue’s for an overnight stay on our way from Indiana to Minnesota. We prefer staying where we aren’t in a typical campground setting. This stay was exactly that. We were greeted upon arrival, and assisted with filling our fresh water tank. Our 33ft travel trailer was easy to maneuver and set up on their perfectly level spot. We were able to keep our rig hooked up for an easy departure the following morning. This property is absolutely stunning. We will be coming back through in late summer and can’t wait to see the beautiful flowers when they are in full bloom. We enjoyed great conversation with Sue and her husband. We will stay here again and this is highly recommended if you prefer an overnight stay that isn’t your typical cramped KOA or Stare Park experience.

Sue is a wonderful host!! Both Sue and her husband greeted us when we arrived and helped us back into our spot. They were very friendly and made us feel like we were family. The site was very peaceful and the views were Beautiful!! It was very clean and well groomed. They had a table and chairs, firepit with firewood and they had a swing facing the views. We would definitely come back and stay here! Thank you Sue and Dave for sharing your wonderful property with us!! 😀

WONDERFUL FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE WITH HIP CAMP!!! Ryan’s family was the bonus on top of amazing camp sites and beautiful countryside.
We loved everything about our 1 night stay, and we will be back! Clean, pristine grounds, pickleball, walking trails. A fire was already started and Ryan’s came out to share snores with us! Loved their pups! The tree farm and we bought fresh sweet corn to take with us!

Passing through Iowa we found Dillon Tree farm to supplement us with water & electric. Family friendly, family owned business. Quiet off off the highway between US-65 and I-35.
Nice place to have some peace a quiet overnight. We were the only ones that night but spots are spaced very well.
Highly recommend if you need a quiet, safe place for the night.

We’ve been traveling for over a month in our RV. So far The Tree Farm is our favorite stay! The property is stunning and easily accessed. There’s plenty of room and lots of walking paths, if you’re so inclined. Ryan and his family are very kind and responsive. There was a giant thunderstorm during our stay. This was the perfect place to ride it out. Ryan even offered us refuge should the storm get to gnarly! Also, if you need to dump your tanks, there is a little free dump station in the town of Iowa Falls, just as you enter the town. It’s in a little park next to the National Guard armory, only a few miles away.
