Hacklebarney Woods stands out as the largest park managed by the Montgomery County Conservation Board, offering a remarkable 230 acres of outdoor recreational opportunities. This expansive area features two campgrounds, a serene lake, a tranquil pond, three picnic areas, a picnic shelter, and six miles of scenic hiking and equestrian trails, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Our newly renovated campgrounds provide a comfortable stay for guests, equipped with 50, 30, and 20 amp electrical sites, a restroom and shower facility, a dump station, and inviting picnic areas. Visitors can indulge in a variety of activities, including fishing, boating (electric motors only), hunting, kayaking, hiking, and horseback riding, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The main campgrounds consist of Campground A, which offers 15 electric-only sites at $15.00 per night, and Campground B, featuring 15 full hookup sites at $20.00 per night. A restroom and shower house, along with a dump station located half a mile northwest of the campgrounds, enhance the camping experience. Please note that reservations are not accepted; campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

My dog and I enjoyed camping in a teardrop at Nicki’s place. There is a nice 360 degree view of rolling hills. Nicki and her partner were extremely helpful when my friend ran into some issues. Everyone we spoke with in town were very nice and offered some recommendations. I highly recommend this spot!
