We’re new to all this, so here’s the scoop. Our campsite sits on one of our family farms at the top of a hill. The closest neighbor is about 3/4 mile away, and the nearest town with a grocery store is roughly 15 miles out. The camper and tent sites are set where the old homestead house once stood. There’s no water or power, but we have one camper set up with a generator available if needed. We provide a water tank, and there’s also an old well if you’d like well water. You’ll be overlooking 500 acres of river bottom land, with a creek running through it where arrowheads have been found, plus river access for fishing or a bit of kayaking. We’ve got a couple of 4-wheelers you can rent to get to the river, or we can take you down ourselves. Kayaks are also available, and we can even take you upriver so you can float the 8 miles back down to our spot.

Exactly as described. Cabin was clean, basic, had a window A/C unit and a fan. Also appreciated the hooks on the wall we used for our towels, outlets, and the ceiling light. The shared bathrooms and showers were clean. If we had arrived earlier, would have loved the volleyball and horseshoes. Quiet small campground. Not much shade but nice for one night. It was very hot so the A/C unit and fan was wonderful.

Hipcampers be advised: Those reasonable rates you see are for an actual campsite. A brick and mortar business. Not an afterthought on someones acreage or tent in a neighborhood backyard. Honey Grove offers more than enough tent, RV and cabin spaces to accommodate whatever your plans. This includes a meticulously stocked store that has anticipated every camping need, a century old brick silo hosting legendary bonfires, a hotel quality restroom that brings civilization to the outdoors not to mention WiFi and water spigots throughout.
The local town is within ten minutes and has everything you forgot. If not, Walmart is a pleasant twenty minute country drive away. Scott is the camp host who keeps grounds and facilities impeccably maintained and Kristen will happily inform you of the myriad of activities and local lore.
But by far, my most favorite thing about this place is the absolute symphony of birds that welcome both dawn and dusk. Know that twice a day God sends his regards to Honey Grove.

The spot was very easy to find, close to main highways and was a good level gravel spot with 30 amp service. Communication with host was easy. We were alone which I appreciated because the spots are close together. We didn’t have a picnic table and there was no fire ring. The water was available but more for filling tanks as it is on the other side of the lot. The Winery was very close and had good food. It was loud at first but quiet after 9pm.

My dogs and I had a great time staying at Wits end! We weren't there long, justba quick overnight. Jennifer was quick to reply and helpful. The only problem is, after leaving I started noticing tons of tiny ticks crawling on me and had to stop and spend about an hour trying to get rid of them all. I had read another review that mentioned them so I had even sprayed some natural repellent but they apparently are quite bad around there. Just be prepared. The peace and quiet, along with sunrise were fantastic!
