We enjoyed how quiet and private the cabin was. Very friendly host, explained everything well. Heated blanket came in handy on a chilly night! Enjoyed the well appointed outdoor kitchen and very clean composting toilet.

Taylor’s place was great. We had nice and calm stay at his property. Multiple walking/hiking spots. Place is equiped with everything what you need for camping/ trailing :).

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

A unique cabin on a farm! Perfect for a weekend get-away from the city or suburbs. Liz greeted me at dusk and introduced me to the space with a tour of the outdoor kitchen (stocked with cooking supplies, close to water, covered, convenient eating are, easy to use camping stove…), outhouse (clean with composting toilet and a view into the woods), and a spacious unique cabin built with recycled materials and a perfect sunrise view on March mornings through the leafless trees! The electric space heater and electric blankets were very appreciated on cold nights along with a fire pit right near the front porch. Amazing hiking within 30 minutes that provided me with much needed ‘outside in nature’ time!! Highly recommend this Hipcamp site!

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

What stood out more than anything else really was the hospitality. Liz was super warm and friendly , responsive to messages and accommodated our needs and asks. If going on a super chilly night, might consider taking or asking for an additional heater. It was 19 degrees during our stay and our heater couldn’t keep up. Thankfully the heated blankets kept our bodies warm!

Staying at Jonathan's orchard with my dog in our campervan has been a dream. I'm originally from the Indy area but had a breakdown while passing through and wanted somewhere near the city but with enough nature nearby to keep my nomadic heart happy. Jonathan's HipCamp is perfect! It's near enough to stores and resources that I don't feel stranded, but it's in an open area with a beautiful landscape of woods, fruit trees, and open skies. My dog and I have loved being here, and really enjoy all the nature trails through the woods! The electric plug-in and water available under the carport has been so great--I've stayed all over at HipCamps from Florida to Alaska and Canada, and this is a great option for short or long-term, and can accommodate anything from a tent to an RV (and I believe I heard they once hosted a converted school bus!). Jonathan has been so welcoming, and he and his family are always respectful of our privacy, but he has also gone above and beyond with offering to pick things up for me and/or help me problem solve as I do repairs on my van. If you're looking for a place near Indy that's a bit off the beaten path, this is the HipCamp for you. I cannot recommend it enough! :)

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

It's like visiting an old friend. No amount of money could offer the feeling this place gave, from the warm welcome to the colorful personality of the farm cat. It was perfect. Would highly recommend, and Liz and Nate will definitely see us again.

Weekend Trip to Serenity Now

I did a solo hot tent camping for my weekend getaway/ momcation. Brian was a very caring and welcoming host. He made sure of the condition on grounds prior to my arrival and I took Meadow 2 instead per his recommendation. He even lend me a big axe when I was about to leave to buy one. It’s difficult find a campsite with this much privacy, woods and water stream near by at this price point. I like how the property is well-kept and organic at the same time. I grew up and spent more than half of my life by mountain range and rivers. Staying here truly felt home and I got the rest and serenity I needed for a long time.

Taylor's property is beautiful. We only stayed one night so we really didn't have a lot of time to explore, but we loved all the chickens!

Brian is a kind host and I was blessed by the friendship of his sweet little dog. The land is beautiful and the sky is dark and great for stargazing. I'd love to stay again and have more time to explore the trails and around the creek.

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

I loved my spur of the moment decision to get outta town (Cincinnati) and be in nature. I chose Nightfall Farm randomly. Ok, well I’m a newbie at the outdoors thing and I knew the Sunrise Cabin had a space heater AND heated blanket. But the camping Gods were watching over me that day! I mean, the bed was so comfortable, I’m mad I’m not still there!! It rained all night and to hear it on the tin roof . BONUS! But I digress! Liz, the host was great. She brought the wood over to the cabin even though I think we were both wondering if I would only need 1/2 of what I asked for! lol, I loved it there and will definitely be back in the spring. Nature cures everything!!

The host was kind enough to accept a booking late in the day and greeted me upon my (after dark) arrival and even had the fire pit stocked for me. The property is easy to find, well maintained and there will be no problem pulling your camper through.

2 nights at Nightfall Farm

We loved staying in the cabin! It was clean and cozy, and we were comfortable even when it got very cold at night. We loved the outdoor kitchen and had everything we needed to make ourselves a nice meal. It was the perfect compromise between camping and a lodge. Liz and her family were excellent hosts, and we’re looking forward to going back!

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

Liz and Nate were so kind and helpful. Their farm and land is beautiful to spend a cozy weekend at the cabin, take long walks through the forest, and visit their animals. We forgot some food and they so kindly helped us out so we didnt have to go to the market. The cabin was such a dream. We both slept better than we had in months. We loved the outdoor firepit at night and it was so fun to cook in their outdoor kitchen. Highly recommend buying eggs from their farm. super delicious. I honestly cant say enough wonderful things about the time we spent at nightfall farm. Highly recommend if you need time to get away- replenish, nourish, and restore!

What a great stop!! As a single traveler sometimes I’m just warn out at the end of the day, this was one of those days. High winds, traffic, terrible Indiana highway and I was exhausted. Jonathon was just being helpful and starting plugging stuff in, he has zero idea what that meant! Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make a huge difference. Off the beaten path, tucked away on a retired apple orchard. The view across the street was stunning. GPS took me to a house up the road. The driveway in is hard to see. I went to the Martha’s orchard sign, not the correct place but Jonathon met me there and showed me where to go. His place is directly across from the barn with the huge American flag, I’ll post a pic. He’s going to work on a great eye catching marker so we see it better! Love love loved it

Weekend Trip to Nightfall Farm

We had a really cozy stay in Liz and Nate's cabin! The tall ceiling and walls full of windows gave the feeling of being out in the woods with the comfort of a roof and four walls. I loved looking out at the silhouette of the trees behind the light of the half moon at night. It was a mildly cold November night when we stayed, but we stayed plenty warm with the quilt and heated blanket that are in the cabin. I was charmed by this southern Indiana gem - a farm that they steward with love and great care. Thank you for having us!

Picnic tables, fire pits and water available and also have a portable idc tote so we can fill your tank at any site. 30 amp and 20 amp outlets at rv sites 1 and 3. 20 amp outlet on site 2. Brookville Lake is about 5 minutes away. We have 25 acres with about 3 wooded acres with over 100 sugar maple trees and about 20 acres of flat grass fields plenty of room to hike, just keep in mind we have one horse that is fenced in so please close gates back when you open them. We mow trails for biking feel free to explore, if you run into a cornfield it's not our property. Att has excellent service at 94mbps download and 11mbps upload, Verizon is good at 36mbps Download and 5mbps upload. We have an outhouse for tent campers And water is available by campsite 1 and we have portable idc tote with city water. We also have 3 indoor/outdoor cats, they like to visit the campground. Direction: Please use SR 44 to country road 450 and go north and take a right at 4 way stop on to Springersville Road and we are about a quarter mile down the road on the left. Kayaking, hiking, bird watching, swimming and just relaxing! We hope we can be a quiet spot for your travels thru the midwest. We are 30 minutes from Indianapolis, 20 minutes to a gorgeous lake and mountain bike trail and Knightstown has several quaint shops and antique venues for you to enjoy! Please keep all animals on a leash or contained. We do live in the midst of cornfields and forest where racoons, opossums and our pets live. We have outdoor kitties Reginald is a big gray boy who will try to climb your leg if you stand still long enough! lol Abigail and Toby are our indoor dogs, but they do roam outside during the day. We also have 2 new to our farm rescued Great Pyreneese that are adjusting! They are in an enclosed pen behind our barn and should'nt cause you any trouble. You may hear them barking off and on as they adjust to their new surroundings. If you need anything please let us know :D We are always ready to make your stay as comfortable as we can!
