Welcome to Cattail Springs! Nestled on nine wooded acres conveniently located just one mile off I-69 in Daleville, Indiana, this relaxing and peaceful property also features a five-acre, spring-fed pond. The pond is fully stocked with a variety of fish, inviting anglers of all skill levels to cast a line. We do ask that you respect the catch and release rule.
Surrounded by trees, this former stone quarry feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Enjoy peaceful mornings by the water, afternoons filled with outdoor activities and quiet evenings by the fire pit under a starlit sky. Keep an eye out for deer, our resident blue herons, songbirds, ducks and other woodland creatures.
No pets are permitted at The Roundtop; one pet is permitted at The Hollow. Pet waste must be properly bagged and thrown away and dogs must be leashed when not at your immediate campsite.
Enjoy free wifi to stream your favorite shows or connect to the office.
The level of interstate travel noise that can be heard varies since the campground is within a mile of I-69.

Mounds State Park: 4306 Mounds Rd, Anderson, IN 46017, two miles from the property, features beautiful trails as well as ten earthworks built by the Adena-Hopewell people, prehistoric Indians. Entrance fee is typically $7.
Dining: exit 234 offers traditional fast food options (Starbucks, Wawa, Wendy's, McDonald's, Subway, Wendy's, Culvers, Pizza King, Bird's Smokehouse and more). Exit 226, one exit south of Cattail Springs, offers a robust variety of restaurants, including McAlister's, Chick-fil-A, Montana Mike's, Texas Roadhouse, Chipotle, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel and more.

Camping like it was meant to be! Come stay with us and explore one of the largest privately owned certified forest in Indiana. Many of our sites are spread out so far you will feel like you are the only ones here. We have three 30AMP electric sites and one with 20AMP service, with the remaining sites all primitive. Over 5 miles of hiking trails, and if you prefer cycling, local roads are part of the Two Rivers on Two Wheel bike route. If Kayaking is your thing, explore the Eel River, or the Tippecanoe. Nice secluded campsites with lots of
space and privacy. You can bring your own, also have excellent cell phone service unlike most state parks in the area.

Brookville Lake is about 5 minutes away.
We have 25 acres with about 3 wooded
acres with over 100 sugar maple trees and about 20 acres of flat grass fields plenty of room to hike, just keep in mind we have one horse that is fenced in so please close gates back when you open them.
We mow trails for hiking feel free to explore, if you run into a cornfield it's not our property.

The site was amongst tall trees with plenty of shade and a breeze which was wonderful on a 90+ day! We loved the trails and hikes them both! So well kept! I would say ABOVE some state parks for sure. Brian was a kind host and met us as we arrived with a smile and a warm handshake. Walnut Valley was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Indy!❤️

Nicole and her husband were amazing! They went above and beyond what was expected. The pictures do not do the place justice. We fell in love with the place. The camp spot that we got, I believe, is the best spot next to the one right by the creek. Definitely will be going back for the camping and the company! Amazing experience all the way around!

Weekend Trip to Lochloosa River Retreat
Ive been to a few hipcamps, but lochloosa is the best one I've been to yet! Nikki and Jack were extremely accommodating, went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and made our trips down the river easy and effortless for us. The premises was clean, spacious sites, and the pool is an amazing bonus! The whole experience was peaceful, refreshing, and had everything we needed. Nikki was readily available, ready to assist in any way needed. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place. Lot of things to do. We loved our tent camp sites in the woods under a thick canopy. Site was clean and flat, firm ground. I am explicitly calling this out because in some of my past experiences the sites were mooshy, unleveled, and sometimes had raccoons looking for trash.
This was one of the cleanest site we have camped at. The river flows so close to the site.
We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. We couldn't kayak or tube on the river as the river was flowing fat the week3nd we camped.
But overall very good experience. Hosts are nice. I would definitely visit this place again.

This campground is the ultimate spot if you want to completely unwind. Sleeping right next to the creek was incredible—there is nothing better than falling asleep to the steady, soothing sound of rushing water all night long. The site was clean, peaceful, and perfectly tucked away in nature. To top off an already perfect stay, we ended the trip on a high note by catching a beautiful 6 lb catfish.

Returning to this campsite for a second time only confirmed what we learned on our first trip: this place is an absolute gem. The site itself remains well-maintained, tranquil, and the perfect setup for a relaxing outdoor getaway.
The absolute highlight of this stay was hitting the water. We managed to land a massive 4.5 lb bass—an amazingly fresh, healthy, and hard-fighting fish—which instantly made the entire trip unforgettable. Beyond the incredible fishing, the quiet atmosphere, clean place, and reliable amenities make it easy to see why this has quickly become a go-to spot for us.
Whether you are looking for a peaceful weekend away or aiming to land a nice fish, this campground delivers. We are already planning stay number three.

Where to go
North Indiana
Indiana’s most Instagram-worthy landscapes can be found at the state’s northeastern boundary. Sloping dunes and sandy beaches line the southern shore of Lake Michigan, and Indiana Dunes National Park has tent and RV camping right by the beach. Further east, industrial towns pepper the road to Amish Country, where you can check into a rustic log cabin in the woods or camp by the lake in Chain O’Lakes State Park.
Central Indiana
Indiana’s central plains are dotted with laidback market towns, cornfields, and lakes. Indianapolis pulls in crowds for its summer motorsports events, most notably the famous Indy 500, but campers can easily escape the city for nearby Mccormick’s Creek State Park or Morgan-Monroe State Forest. Just to the south, Brown County is home to Monroe Lake, the state’s largest lake, hemmed in by Yellowwood State Forest and Brown County State Park.
Southern Indiana
Hilly southern Indiana is blanketed with woodlands, most notably the forested trails and canyons of Hoosier National Forest. Come in fall to hike against a backdrop of foliage or canoe along Sugar Creek, one of the state’s top paddling destinations. Further south, the Ohio River Scenic Byway draws adventurers to hike, paddle, camp, and fish.
