Hi! My name is Macy, and this is a project that my grandmother, father, brother, and I have been working on together. Our goal is to share our property with families who have children that love to ride. A quick story: When I was a kid, one of my dad’s best friends’ parents let us use about 20 acres of their farm and woods, where we set up a little campground. We had a small camper, tents, a fire pit, and a track out in the woods where we rode dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides. The best part was that we could keep our belongings and machines there during the week, so when the weekend came, all we had to do was show up and make memories with family and friends. To this day, we still talk about those times. With that in mind, we want to rent this cabin out to families so they can experience the same thing. When we bought this property in 2013, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. It will sleep 4 and has some great amenities. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able to enjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying on our horse farm. We have many chickens, bunnies, a potbelly pig, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 4 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. There are 2 showering options and restroom available. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer trail rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake less than 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles and kayaks. Or rent ours! There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything. Walmart is 12 minutes North of us.

Our goal is to share our property with families who have children that love to ride. A quick story: When I was a kid, one of my dad’s best friends’ parents let us use about 20 acres of their farm and woods, where we set up a little campground. We had a small camper, tents, a fire pit, and a track out in the woods where we rode dirt bikes, four-wheelers, and side-by-sides. The best part was that we could keep our belongings and machines there during the week, so when the weekend came, all we had to do was show up and make memories with family and friends. When we bought this property in 2013, it was a little run down. Many years ago, it housed sheep and cows. We revamped our little 15-acre farm and continue to improve its looks. Learn more about this land: We have 3 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible. If you see another area, please ask!. Site "Woods" is most secluded. We now have a cabin!! Our "Chalet". It will sleep 4 and has some great amenities. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able to enjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying on our horse farm. We have many chickens, bunnies, a potbelly pig, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 4 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. There are 2 showering options and restroom available. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer trail rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake less than 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles and kayaks. Or rent ours! There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything. Walmart is 12 minutes North of us.

We really enjoyed staying at Creekside. Ariel is an outstanding hostess and was very helpful. The cottage is adorable and comfortable. Since we went in October, we did not need to use the AC or the heater. If I had to find anything at all to criticize, it’s that there’s no running water, so be sure to bring plenty of water to douse your fire at the end of the night. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant place to stay for getting away from the sound of the Interstate in your backyard. There’s plenty of dining options nearby (we decided to try Mr. Weenie.) There was a well stocked grocery just a bit further down from the drive in. If you bring your dog(s) be prepared for them to get anxious when the coyotes come out at night.

Camp David was a fantastic getaway. To start, the site is easy to find and accessible by stand 2WD vehicles. The spot feels private. You're in your own little world with a ton of space for the dogs to play. There's swings and benches all over the place for enjoyment. David is insanely helpful and kind. He stopped by to check in to ensure we understand the generator and composting toilet. His dog is really cute too. Ultimately, we had a fantastic lazy weekend. The dogs played their hearts out and napped in the sun on the deck. We read our books and carved pumpkins. The firepit corner is quaint and the firewood was good.

I love the privacy and the peacefulness of camp David. The fire pit was perfect, and had plenty of wood. Was able to make a nice meal over the fire using the nice grate, and plenty of room to prep. Sitting on the patio listening to the rain reading was the like a dream. The dogs loved being able to swim in the river, and had plenty of room to run! The simplicity of the cabin is nice for a reset, no WiFi, barely any service, but has everything you could need and then some. Can’t wait to come back!!

Weekend Trip to Heritage Farm Stay Adventure
We've been coming here since 2020 (both during spring and winter) and absolutely love the place. We made it our annual tradition and now we have expanded our plans to an additional stay at their bigger cabin - smaller for June trips, the bigger one for November trips. If you'd like to disconnect from "the chaos", yet be comfortable during your c(gl)amping (a real restroom, shower, heatingm portable AC, grill, fireplace, etc) and within driving distance to a store and restaurants in case you forgot something, this is your place! Rugged enough if you want to go a bit rougher, yet all amenities for you less adventurous team members. This place is truly awesome! Proprietors are an absolute national treasure! We've been coming back here every year, just got back from another great outing and starting this year we are making it a twice-yearly tradition. Try it! You will not be disappointed! Cheers!

Weekend Trip to Camp David
We had a nice relaxing few days at camp David. The generator will run electricity for a small satellite tv, which was nice when it rained one evening, and it will power a coffee pot that is available at the location for your use. It got down into the 40s at night, but the propane wall heater kept us toasty all night! We tried some fishing, but the water level was very low, only a few feet all the way across....still had a great time playing with our dogs in the river and relaxing in the sun by the water. Camp chairs and Adirondack are provided, as well as multiple comfortable swings! We cooked dinner on the grate that swings over the fire, and drank our coffee on the beautiful porch overlooking the river. We would definitely come back!

Enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the entire stay. We stayed just one night, but the thoughtful touches were very much appreciated. We built a fire in the fire pit with help from Kurt as my Girl Scout days are long past. Heidi and their beautiful daughters were friendly and busy following a graduation party just the night before. The grounds are perfect in the sense of natural beauty that are tended to for enjoyment. We took advantage of the country road and walked towards town to see the covered bridge. We weren’t disappointed. Our evening after the fire was spent playing a friendly game of Battleship and I now have the title of beating my husband for the first time ever. Thankful for the time away and for Kurt and Heidi. Lovely hosts who followed a path that helps many in the perfect way. Oh and those chickens! The fresh eggs! Worth every single moment.

Discover a hidden gem at our RV park, which reopened on July 1, 2018, after several years of closure. This unique destination offers daily, weekly, and seasonal rentals for RV sites, cottages, and tent sites, making it the perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. The new ownership team is dedicated to revitalizing the park, and significant upgrades have already been made. The beach has been extended with fresh sand, and the beach bar and restaurant are now open for guests to enjoy. Our office now offers carryout beer, alcohol, Dippin’ Dots, and convenience store items. Currently, 29 cabins are available for rent, with 12 having undergone complete renovations. Additionally, a new boat ramp and piers have been installed, along with 21 covered boat lifts available for rent, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the park. While the two-story banquet hall remains closed and boarded up, plans for future renovations are in the works. Over the next few years, we aim to renovate more cottages, with 12 already updated.
