On the other hand, you’re just a stone’s throw from Wandermere and Kalispel Golf Courses, movie theaters, restaurants, grocery and shopping. Enjoy 16 acres of trees with a pond and a variety of wildlife. Wander the property and you can expect to see deer, elk, an occasional moose, dozens of turkey, quail, grouse, snowshoe hare, and a trio of domestic chickens who have made Little Hawk Landing their favorite hangout. The 300 sq ft cabin is fully stocked and can be set up with a king bed or two twins - please specify your choice at registration or send me a quick message - and there is also a pullout twin sleeper sofa bed. We provide free Wi-Fi and there is a TV with a DVD/Blue-ray player and a wide assortment of movies. All firewood for the woodburning stove is provided. During the warmer months, make use of our kayaks at the pond, or enjoy an evening under the stars by a campfire. Little Hawk Landing is minutes away from prime hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, and snowmobiling locations. The town of Deary is five miles away with a grocery store, gas stations, two coffee shops, a bakery, wine bar, and several restaurants. We are 45 minutes from the University of Idaho, and an hour from Washington State University and Lewis-Clark State College.

Tucked away in the mossy rocks, The Hidden Frog offers a half acre of private, forested camping on the banks of Kelso Lake. The 60 acre lake allows non-motorized watercraft only, which makes for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The parking area has room for a vehicle and trailer up to 60ft long combined, plus another area for a single vehicle. It is adjacent to a shared driveway, so you must leave room for vehicles to get around you. You can choose to set up camp there, or down a short path to the lake where there is ample flat ground for multiple tents. The path is cleared but rocky, so always make sure to watch your step! A fire ring, shovel, bucket of water, emergency fire extinguisher, 2 chairs and one 13gal garbage bag are provided for your use. I live next door, so I'm around if there is anything you need (don't be afraid to ask!) There are no other amenities right now, but we plan on adding some as we start to make some money (i.e. an outhouse, electrical.) The shoreline is very bushy and rocky- not ideal for fishing, boating or swimming, but there is a free public boat launch site .4mi down the road, plus another at Granite lake .7mi away. Both offer a toilet, and a place for swimming and fishing (must have a fishing licence.) Please respect the boundaries and do not cross into neighbors' yards. Also, do not disturb the mosses growing on the rocks (it is a fragile ecosystem!) and respect the wildlife that make the space their home. Wildlife you may encounter includes deer, moose, beaver, otters, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, salamanders, eagles, osprey, blue herons, ducks, and many other bird species- we are located on the Idaho Birding Trail. We are located a 10-minute drive north of downtown Moscow, on beautiful Moscow Mountain. We have 3 acres that includes our house, the studio (your home base), garage, greenhouse, and a couple storage sheds. The studio is most comfortable for just 2 people, but there is an extra foam queen mattress and bedding available. Our property is surrounded by and dotted with trees, with a peek-a-boo view of the Palouse. We have swaths of grassy yard, an orchard, and several raised beds in our garden. We also have a seasonal pond that is home to Mr. and Mrs. Mallard in the spring and summer. Take in the sunrise from the deck with coffee in hand, and sunset off the back patio. Sara’s cabin was a perfect last stop on our road trip. It was so clean, quiet, and cozy. The morning stroll through the property down to the river with the dogs was refreshing and peaceful. I wished I could have stayed longer! I would absolutely go back on any future Spokane trips.

The water is shallow and navigable even for dogs who don't have a ton of water confidence!

We enjoyed our stay at Sara's spot. The river was peaceful and she had all the things needed to have a pleasant experience - picnic table, lawn chairs, inner tube floaters and my favorite a glider rocking bench. When booking the site we thought we could drive in and out of the place to visit relatives in Spokane. Sara's place was perfectly situated to the city however the rough and rutty road to her rv parking spot was not something we wanted to drive on every day. Fortunately we found some different solutions and Sara was very patience and accommodating to our situation. She also communicates well through hip camp texting.

We truly enjoyed ourselves at The Bunk House. Stayed two nights. The amenties were on point and made it so easy to last minute plan a mini trip. We only needed food and clothes. We spent most of our days down at the river. The kids loved playing all day in the water. Floaties included. Sara is a very attentive host. Her two dog's were awesome and were great with our small baby dog. Great vibes! We will be back!!

Sara has gone beyond expectations to make her land fun-filled, clean and attractive, and outfitted for a perfect camping experience. A thoughtful communicator and animal lover, Sara took the time necessary to introduce our dogs to each other and to us. They were delightful to be around. As for the river experience, it couldn't have been better...watching people on float-downs while we anchored in a big floatie (which she provided) all afternoon. The covered fire pit was surrounded by really nice chairs and plenty of firewood was nearby. What a great place to find right on the riverbank! We'll be back! Highly recommend!

We were staying north at Mirror lake and got evacuated due to the Sunset Fire. We were lucky enough to find this gem on very short notice! The spot was perfect for the 4 of us to camp down at the lake for the night. Beautiful spot and we would return in the future!

Campsite was great! Parking on top and a good spot by the lake for a tent. It was a bit of a tight fit for our big camper but worked for us. Parking spot was a little unlevel but that's what leveling jacks are for. Public access to the lake was just down the road. We had a great time there while visiting Silverwood. Cell signal was low, but host was more then helpful when knocking on the door.

Really enjoyed camping here! We were visiting Silverwood Theme Park for two days and couldn’t be happier with choosing this over a crowded campground. It was easy enough to get to and close to everything we needed. It had rained recently so there were a few mosquitos so you may want to bring bug spray. 10/10 recommend!

Sarah is an amazing hostess! We loved it so much we went back the following weekend! We are so thankful she has chosen to share her property for others to have some joy as well. There are water toys available as well as hammock and other outdoor furniture.The bunkhouse is a great place! Sarah has some thoughtful amenities. The pillows and mattress were so comfortable neither one of us got up in the middle of the night as we usually do. I will vote Sarah as the super host of hip camp.
