We are located a 10-minute drive north of downtown Moscow, on beautiful Moscow Mountain. We have 3 acres that includes our house, the studio (your home base), garage, greenhouse, and a couple storage sheds. The studio is most comfortable for just 2 people, but there is an extra foam queen mattress and bedding available. Our property is surrounded by and dotted with trees, with a peek-a-boo view of the Palouse. We have swaths of grassy yard, an orchard, and several raised beds in our garden. We are less than 15 minutes from St Maries, where you will find dump sites and water refill stations. In St Maries you can find easy access to the St Joe and St Maries rivers. 9 miles west of St Maries is Heyburn Park where you will find multiple hiking trails, access to Chatcolet Lake (which is at the south end of the Coeur ‘d Alene Lake system). Outdoor recreation options are limitless in this area. Coeur ‘d Alene is an hour and a half north from our property and Moscow is and hour and a half SW of our property. We are 2 miles from State land and a 25-minute ride on an ATV to the St Maries River. The area is abundant in wildlife: elk, deer, coyotes, cougars, moose, rabbits, grouse, badgers and more. There is access from our property to state land for hiking and hunting. There are 3 RV sites tucked into the trees, a large open tent site and a second tent site that is in the trees. There is a pull around drive to access the sites with a large, shared grass area in the center. Things are still in development so currently it is dry camping only. There are water spigots at each site but only for fire suppression if needed as water is not potable. RV sites are graveled with plenty of room to park We allow animals but only if they are kept on a leash or in your RV. Our home is close to the campground, and we are usually around somewhere if you have questions or need help with something.

The campsite was very nice and the view of the lake was amazing. It was enjoyable to wake up to the sound of the birds singing and the insects making their noises. The campground is also next to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes which is a very nice trail to ride the bike on. It's also down the road from the town of Harrison which is nice for eating and beers. The campground was clean and well kept and the toilet was also. I enjoyed my stay here and do recommend if you are in the area.

Rachel was really kind and very responsive to my messages to help me figure out which site would be best for our group! The porta potty on site was the cleanest one I have EVER seen, and the land was so beautiful. The sites were a bit closer together than I thought they would be, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that we couldn’t hear anyone else at all from ours. Honestly it was the perfect set up- private camp ground, picnic table, fire pit, bathroom, beautiful view of the lake, short 15 minute walk into Harrison for ice cream and swimming. The only bummer was that on the first morning of our stay we were woken up at dawn by loud sounds of the property next door doing excavating/logging work, which continued for the better part of the day. We recognize that this was totally out of Rachel’s control so no fault to her, but just something to keep in mind as I’m not sure how often that happens. It didn’t happen the second morning which was nice, however there is a rooster somewhere very nearby who is definitely an over achiever at his job.. he crowed with all his might both days haha. To some extent it was nice as it added to the out of the city feel, but after several hours of him crowing while trying to enjoy the quiet we did wish he would have settled down for the day haha.

I actually stayed in campsite 2 - generously offered by the host as I was the only camper booked for the 2 nights I was there. Excellent location for a biking adventure on the Trail of the CDA. I had good cell reception at the site - better than anywhere else in the area. All the eateries were closed Mon & Tues as it’s still very early in the season-glad I had some dehydrated meals in my stash. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay in such a place

The directions were very clear on how to get there but we easily passed the turn off. I didn’t have any service but was able to get enough service at the end of the road to check the address and saw that rv slots were too far past where I was supposed to be. I turned around and saw the small Hipcamp logos for tenting. I ordered eggs and firewood. Upon arrival the host was there to greet me with the items. Unfortunately there were 2 cars and a hammock hung up in my slot at campsite #1. They didn’t know who they belonged to since we don’t input our license plate number (That would be a great idea for the future) and no one was there. We weren’t supposed to have any camping neighbors on our visit so they weren’t sure if these people were there from the night before or if someone had snuck in. Because they couldn’t figure out whose cars were there we got to pick which ever slot we wanted to camp in because no one else was supposed to be booked during our stay. We chose slot #4 which looked to about double the size of slot #2 and I was actually glad it worked out that way because we had enough room to spread out our tent, bbq and table, our own porta potty and still have room away from the fire pit where we put our chairs. Porta potties are provided later in the season and they do have trash bins. We tied up our 2 small and 1 large dog to the trees to play and set up our hammock. After raining, the small inclined walkway became slippery. This was awesome! I havnt camped in years.
