Weekend Trip to Little Creek

No issues whatsoever camping here. Easy to find, easy access to a bathroom, easy communication with host, and nice and quiet at night. All in all, a great experience.

1 night at Murphys Point Alpaca Ranch

Drew was a great host and he gave a great tour of his little farm. He was easy to talk to and I will gladly stay there again in the future.

2 nights at Garden Valley River Access Campsite

This is a wonderful site with lots of options and a surprising amount of space! Big flat area effortlessly hosts a giant 5th wheel (or two!) while a shaded upper area was optimal for my camper van or a trailer. Just below that was a long strip at rivers edge (but still a few feet up the bank) ideal for tents and tiring out dogs (or kids!). Even had a picnic table waiting. The site is easily accessed off the road, but that does mean you’ll have cars passing close by (moderate speed, roughly one every minute or two). Didn’t bother me but something to consider if you’re sensitive to that. As another reviewer noted, yes the neighbors play music on a capable set of outside speakers for an hour or two in the afternoon, but it passed eventually and things were quiet most of the time. I’d still come back. Good Starlink connectivity with just a bit of obstructions at the edges that I could probably have avoided if I setup elsewhere.

This pla e is really nice, the house has the old southern house vive with big trees, Kim is a great host, she tried to accommodate all my needs, the driveway down to the house it's gravel but really very easy , I've made it with my 28ft trailer. You can use the firepit, she has smores ready to go. I would totally recomand the place. Also super close with Caldwell downtown, that is cute with great places to eat.

1 night at Little Creek

Just a small, quiet campground which has had a lot of improvements from the previous year. We loved our stay last time and throughly enjoyed staying here again. The owner was not in town so we were greeted by her friend who was house sitting. She was super cool and gave us several recommendations of restaurants in the area. I was not cooking after our long day of travel!! I really enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds and fresh country air verses the road noise when we have to stop at a Cracker barrel or rest stop. We will definitely come here again, next time we are traveling through. This place is close to I 84 so very easy to get to.

Weekend Trip to Micone Ranch

Stopped over in the dark and found easy directions to a private hill. Paid for two vehicles. Nice and quiet, then we left at dawn to continue south. Perfect place to stop. Beautiful sunrise from here. I hope to arrive earlier next time. Would have loved to feed the goats.

Great place to stay for the night. Lot's of chickens with for or so beautiful roosters. Nice gazebo fire pit area. The beef we bought was great. Be sure to eat at the Irish restaurant in Ontario very good homemade food.

6 nights at Murphys Point Alpaca Ranch

Drew is such a gem in the beautiful gem state. We were blessed to get to meet all the animals and enjoy some fresh chicken eggs. Our RV had to go to maintenance shop and so we were in and out of the spot, but Drew was so understanding and it was never an issue. And with a big rig, we had our reservations. It was delightful to have someone understanding host us. We will be returning to Idaho in the coming months and would not hesitate to book again.

This was a wonderful beautiful place , quite the views were great.. Our host was wonderful, keep in contact with us gave us a charming home feeling. We will be back ! Oh yes the animals were my favorite part of our experience! The shower was hot and very welcoming,

Good place to rest for the night! Reliable power outlet and close to groceries and the main part of town. Some neighbor dogs were outside during the day, which may or may not affect your own pet. Overall would recommend.

I spent a peaceful night at Tamara’s, the location is accurate and I just parked in their front (before the gate to field). I actually like that is easy in and out, have street light (feel safe!) and very flat. Thanks for Tamara and her hubby’s accommodation I did enjoy the night a lot 😊

This large back field is empty, just waiting for you to park. There’s an outside bathroom- toilet and sink you may use. Learn more about this land: Perfect location in Caldwell with country feel. Peaceful field in back of property. Convenient to visit nearby wine country or College of Idaho. Only 25 miles to Boise. Dry camping only but can fill up your water. Fire pit with wood supply. Garden Valley River Access Campsite

The address to the house next door is 519 MiddleFork Rd, Garden Valley, ID 83622. That will get you to the property. The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house. So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really. Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. Just 1-1/2 miles from exit 3 off the 84 Kingswood Ranch is not only a stop for weary travelers, but was created to be a haven for our Military and First Responders to come and unwind or take a class. We are a 501c3 facility. We are in the middle of farmland where cows moo and corn grows tall. Just 12 minutes away from Ontario OR. should you need shopping. Walking distance from a working dairy if you ever wanted to see one. We have a 90x130 riding arena, should you be hauling horses yourself and need to let them out. Our horses and dogs are available for petting/grooming should you not have any. Fire pit, outhouse, BBQ and picnic table is onsite. Freeway noise an issue for some.

Micone Ranch

Our place is 28 acres. Do not drive into the upper field, there is a stop sign on that gate. It is irrigated, and you could get stuck and cause property damage. Our niche is that we only host one group of people at a time. Whether you are a solo camper or a group of 50, you will never have to compete for space with another group. This also allows for increased safety for single travelers and elderly. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. Do not do this as there is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The gate is latched but not locked on the left side. Initial fee covers a spot for one sleeping structure. Add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping. You can add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Included in options to buy is RV power hook up and EV overnight charging. A small somewhat muddy creek runs through the front of the property year-round. The water is clearer during the winter and spring months. Cleared spots in this area are small so only tent camping in this area is recommended. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field, they are shy. Oregon has an invasive poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant but if you wander along the creek you will encounter it. Areas people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. The lower field on the right is the quietest. If you have children camping near the house is recommended. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.
