Bristol is bordered by the Portneuf River to the North and Mt Moh to the South, offering river access and a host of trails. Fishing in the river is great, boasting rainbow, cut throat, brook and brown trout. There's also a few great swimming holes right below the property, including a 15 ft. waterfall. Guests may hike trails to the old mines, or be directed to a plethora of trails for biking nearby. The setting at Bristol is uniquely peaceful for the busy tourist town of Lava Hot Springs. Although still technically within city limits, the place offers an atmosphere of it's own, seemingly outside of time. Once a miners camp and stage coach stop along the Oregon Trail, we have worked hard to maintain the buildings and grounds. With an abundance of trees, (bonus if you can name all varieties) the main compound is well shaded through the hot summer months. Our single room, quaint cabins have a shared bathroom with showers and towels available. We are a minutes walk from the hot springs and downtown, so no need to fight for a parking spot!

You drive 50 miles back into the forest (on a paved road) to get here and take the same road to leave. This cabin offers 3 bedrooms plus an open loft bedroom. It has 3 queen size beds and 2 twin beds. All bedding is provided. Maximum occupancy is 6 campers. We offer a full kitchen, stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc plus all pots, pans, cutlery. All you need to provide is food. The property has one bath with toilet, sink and bath/shower and towels are provided for each guest. Additionally, it has high speed Starlink internet for watching Roku TV and making cell phone calls and staying current with world events. Many of the gravel roads are suitable for your standard 2 wheeler drive car. If you are more adventurous 4 wheel drive will get you a little deeper into the woods. For maximum exploration bring your UTV/ATV and you can go almost anywhere. A day hike is another option, you can drive your car to one of the many gated roads/trails and hike into a pristine lake in the wilderness for a day of fishing or sightseeing. Outdoor/nature adventures abound here all you need to provide is a little adventurous spirit.

1 night at Dancing Tree Sanctuary
The Hosts are so solid. People you want in your life. Kind, genuine. For me this is important and makes all the difference in this life and especially when sharing community.
However, It wouldn’t really matter if you didn’t like them anyway, because in the whispering woods of their remote property, the cabin is on its own level. You’re all alone in the Magic of the hill top.
Great place to reset, write, read. Or, Do absolutely nothing with your dog.
Also a good jump off point to many trails and everything Panhandle. 20 minutes from Sandpoint. We came from Priest Lake and were headed to Glacier via the Swinging Bridge route on 2.
Good pillows, comfortable bed, cast iron, games, telescope, wall of windows, yet so private. Only the soaring Eagles will see you.
Doug brought me maps and books and Jessica brought me solutions for anything that came up along my way. Great communication. Reliable. Fair.
Not for the Bougie. Unless you’re trying to come back to earth.

Weekend Trip to Bristol Park Historic Cabins
I loved the whole vibe of the place. Cute little touches every where, like a pair of old ice skates hanging on a bannister. Breakfast was amazing, and so was the coffee. Rooms where small and cozy. Bathrooms were rustic, could use a little dusting from floor to ceiling, but clean towels and a great shower. Will definitely be back!!

This place was great. It worked great for our family reunion. Because of some older mobility issues we chose to.use the upper grassy area for most of our cooking and hanging out but the firepit was awesome in the evenings. It was nice to be a little rambunctious into the evening without worrying too much about neighbors... there were several times that stray 4 wheelers would come into the property which was a concern of mine with young kids with us. I lived having a private secluded place for our family reunion. There was some construction going on so a big trench we had to keep telling kids to stay out of and a big gravel pile kids played on.

I loved staying at bristol cabins and so did my pup. It was a beautiful property along the river. We felt welcomed and free to use the facilities. It was a step up from camping and exactly what we were looking for.
