IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS. No Side by Sides (UTV's), dirt bikes, or ATV's allowed to be rallied on the property. We can suggest close spots to rally. This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Learn more about this land: This 14-foot yurt is a short walk of about 50 yards from the guest parking. You will pass our 30-ft family yurt going to your own private space. The property has a great remote feeling and has space to move around. There is a queen custom bed and room for a child or two on the floor if desired. There is a small gravity feed water system for the yurt and your own private outhouse. Plenty of wood for you to stay warm by the fire inside and an outdoor shower shared by our family. Please use wood shavings after each toilet use and dispose of all non compostable items in the provided garbage can on deck. In the tent, you’ll find a luxurious and firm queen size bed and compact tables for storing your items. We provide a power bank of electricity for those that need a c-pap (tested and true), or charging devices. Stay warm all night with our propane heater, down comforter and optional heated blanket. Up for exploring? Just stick to the mowed pathways and enjoy the different settings. A hammock waits in the shade of the cherry plum tree at the bottom of the property. We are 12 miles from The Idaho Club and just 22 miles from Schweitzer and some of the most breathtaking views around. There is always something to do and see on the mountain. Trestle Creek Park on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille, is another of our favorite places and it's only a 16-mile drive through some of the most picturesque areas of the NW. After a fun filled day exploring North Idaho come and relax at The Lost Fainting Goat Ranch, an amusing name for a place we call home. There is a separate private driveway, and you will have the whole camp area to yourselves, yet we aren't far away should a need arise. You may occasionally hear us (4 busy kids, 1 fat cat, 2 friendly dogs, 1 noisy rooster and 11 happy hens yet still no fainting goats) but we want you to feel like you are in your own private sanctuary. We are offering a new furnished bell tent in a secluded area of our private property in the beautiful mountains of Sandpoint Idaho. Our camp area is along a quiet creek that is visited by deer, wild turkey, squirls and even the occasional moose. There are also those less desirable critters that live in nature like insects, and we do try and mitigate those troublemakers with screens, traps, Diatomaceous Earth and other natural means. This area of our property is off grid with a wonderful shower house built from wood milled from our own land, complete with hot water and a compost toilet. We even provide Starlink WiFi and a way to charge cell phones thanks to our solar charged batteries. There is a fire pit, comfy chairs, a beautiful picnic table, again, made from wood from our own land, and a screened in area with cooking supplies. Our family enjoys hosting guests and we enjoy meeting new people. The most common phrase we heard when we first moved here was "Welcome to Idaho!" We hope you love it here as much as we do. When you reserve your time with us, please look for messages regarding directions and check-in instructions, we like to meet everyone to show you around and it gets pretty dark out here in the country and the cell coverage is pretty spotty in our area. Our cozy Bell Tent glamping site is perched to take full advantage of breathtaking sunsets and moonrises, rolling fields, and wildlife, giving you a front-row seat to nature’s show. A 2-minute drive (or 15 min walk) up the road, you’ll find hiking trails for all skill levels. The same distance down the road is our favorite winery offering tastings and a delightful ambiance for an evening out. We are located down a dead-end road, approximately 18 miles from downtown Sandpoint, with all it has to offer, yummy restaurants, Cedar Street Public Market, music concerts, the Bonner County Fair and don't miss City Beach no matter the weather, maybe even take a lake tour. We are 12 miles from The Idaho Club and just 22 miles from Schweitzer and some of the most breathtaking views around. There is always something to do and see on the mountain. Trestle Creek Park on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille, is another of our favorite places and it's only a 16-mile drive through some of the most picturesque areas of the NW. After a fun filled day exploring North Idaho come and relax at The Lost Fainting Goat Ranch, an amusing name for a place we call home. There is a separate private driveway, and you will have the whole camp area to yourselves, yet we aren't far away should a need arise. You may occasionally hear us (4 busy kids, 1 fat cat, 2 friendly dogs, 1 noisy rooster and 11 happy hens yet still no fainting goats) but we want you to feel like you are in your own private sanctuary. We are offering a new furnished bell tent in a secluded area of our private property in the beautiful mountains of Sandpoint Idaho. Our camp area is along a quiet creek that is visited by deer, wild turkey, squirls and even the occasional moose. There are also those less desirable critters that live in nature like insects, and we do try and mitigate those troublemakers with screens, traps, Diatomaceous Earth and other natural means. This area of our property is off grid with a wonderful shower house built from wood milled from our own land, complete with hot water and a compost toilet. We even provide Starlink WiFi and a way to charge cell phones thanks to our solar charged batteries. There is a fire pit, comfy chairs, a beautiful picnic table, again, made from wood from our own land, and a screened in area with cooking supplies. Our family enjoys hosting guests and we enjoy meeting new people. The most common phrase we heard when we first moved here was "Welcome to Idaho!" We hope you love it here as much as we do. When you reserve your time with us, please look for messages regarding directions and check-in instructions, we like to meet everyone to show you around and it gets pretty dark out here in the country and the cell coverage is pretty spotty in our area. (which only goes to show how amazing our first trip was!!) From the moment we arrived, Jane and John went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We decided to have our baby shower here to welcome our son Wolfgang to the pack! Upon arrival Jane & John didn't just welcome us, they made us feel like family. They even set up two canopies for the rain, ensuring we could still celebrate comfortably, which we did! It's rare to find people who genuinely care about your experience the way they do. Everything about the campsite reflected their hard work and dedication to a clean, organized, and beautifully maintained campground, and the hospitality is like no other. I loved camping on this piece of property! The camp sites were fantastic with a great view. The land is very well maintained and has small hikes through the property. There are amazing touches throughout the property that show the host loves the property. It was very quiet and felt remote. The trees and rock landscape on the property are beautiful. Things to know: The road up is one way and fairly narrow. Move slowly and use a spotter if necessary. Also - the electric supply box is located a distance from the D spot, and is shared by C and D. You may need more electrical line to reach your camper, even in the C spot! It was a great site to camp in and the host was responsive on the app!

The water is shallow and navigable even for dogs who don't have a ton of water confidence!

My travel dog Thor and I had an exceptionally warm and cozy stop at this beautiful property en route to Golden BC. The field tent sits on a lovely deck overlooking a beautiful valley. With all the development in Spokane it is amazing that this beautiful semi urban area is so close to the city. We loved watching the sunset, deer in the field and stars at night. The tent and field kitchen are exceptionally well appointed. The bed is super comfy and the tent feels like a boutique hotel with all the hosts thoughtful touches. The host are lovely and great communicators. So glad they are sharing their little piece of Spokane valley paradise with people like me. We will be back with more time to relax, enjoy the tent, deck and the beautiful valley.
