When the "blue roof cottage by the tracks" (yes, it used to have a unique blue roof) hit the market in early 2021, we knew it had to be ours! We purchased it & flipped it into a vacation home for guests of Folkston .. and The Conductor's Corner was born. The spacious concrete pads are perfect for a night of watching trains under the stars.

Our location is approximately 30 min to Brunswick, St. Simons and Jekyll Island, Ga. 12 min off I-95. We do have a bath house and a laundry area on location for your needs. We are in a rural, country influenced, farm like, location that's close to restaurants, shopping, and Walmart. We have 22 premium pull-thru campsites that's resting on a flat and level grass lawn. Every site has water, sewer, and power connections. The laundromat is exceptional and laundry service can be added to your stay. AT&T and Verizon cell phones receive good signal and Hotspots work good without buffering when streaming. We are conveniently located for the areas supplemental workforce. We are 10 minutes from Plant Hatch, and 35 minutes from Rayonier Jesup. Our recreational campers will be pleased to find so many nature related activities nearby.

There was a lot of room and privacy for each site. We walked around and to see the river. I noticed one campground with canoes, so some must be enjoying the river.
Internet connection is sketchy, but we were able to stream using my phone as a hotspot.
The host was friendly and helpful.

Great place. Nice and neat sites. All grounds were very clean. Small pond to observe. Very very quiet. Friendly co-campers. Owners were very cordial. Minutes to town; restaurants, grocery, gas, shopping. Great place for dogs. Full hookups. Reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful experience camping at Lucille Oaks! It was an extremely convenient location, perfect for a stop right off of 95 to rest and recharge before the next leg of my drive. It was peaceful and I was happy to get a good nights sleep in my camper! The trees were beautiful and my dog enjoyed a nice walk in the morning. Kevin was a great host and I’ll definitely book with him again!!

This is a great little campground, if you want to get away from it all! I kept waiting for the weather to cooperate (was a bit chilly!) to go out in my kayak on the nearby river, but the one day it might’ve been OK I already had plans to be nearby on Jekyll Island. Ron and the campground host Kathy were both very welcoming and helpful.

The site was perfect for my 25' travel trailer. It was very interesting to be in a small town. Very interesting also to have the trains pass by. Very relaxing sleeping . Will definitely be back for my travels down south in the future.

It is very nice setup up with the concrete pad. Quiet little town, until a train comes through. But I slept through the night. no problem. I think trains go through about every 45 minutes to an hour and a half. I was speaking to a train spotter and he said about 3500 rail cars go by every day. Town main street is very small with a few businesses but most were closed on Mondays.

We showed up at Deep Bend Landing for just a nights stay while passing through. Passing through sounds interesting in this area because this campground is waaaaay back in the country, but my wife and I are photographers—having a hobby side with abandonment, etc. There’s plenty of this genre in the deep country of Georgia.
Even though I didn’t get the notifications, Ron worked hard to contact us so we would not be lost when we got there. Meeting with a smile and handshake, he showed us to our location and offered any answers to questions we had.
A little about the campground. This is a no frills location. While that does not appeal to some, it’s an absolutely dreamboat to people like my wife and I. The area was so peaceful and the campground was extremely quiet and peaceful—despite having multiple spots filled. The sites were spacious with lots of shade. This is the PERFECT campground for people who just want time in nature—camping. While we were just passing through this time, we’ve discussed returning on another date to possibly stay for a few days and comb the area for photography treasures.

My bestie has stayed here a few times and loves it. We were looking for a stop halfway way through are drive home and I suggested it. He wanted to make sure i understood it was not going to be quiet, I had purchased ear plugs for this stop. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Yes there were trains that went by but honestly it did not affect my sleep. It was really neat to experience it and I would definitely return.

If someone asked me what an idyllic spot to park my camper looked like, I would say someplace quiet, where I can see all the stars in the sky, nothing but nature out my front door, and maybe the occasional train horn in the distance to remind me that civilization still exists. That's Ron and Sue's property, Camp Z. I spent the week, but I could've stayed a month. If you're heading north or south through Georgia, make sure you make your way to Folkston to find Camp Z. You'll be rewarded with peach, quiet and tranquility. Idyllic!

We loved camping on Brandie's site. Sites were spacious, clean and well kept. The main street of Folkston was within walking distance, Laundromat was within a block of our site. A young gentleman named Kerry detailed our 40" motorhome. Great job Overall I will return. Thanks
