Beefield

1 site · RV, Tent1 acre · Statesboro, GA
A roadside stop near peanut and cotton fields with water and power. Once upon a time a very busy apiary, now a mild beekeeping field and farmers bee supply store. We’ve fire pit(s), bring your wood or purchase it here,. Beware the two barn cats, one gray named Cat-Dog because he greets people like a dog, follows his owner everywhere outside and is a very old Tom. Meet the retired folks who spend time with the Alaskan Malamute service dog and the chickens; perhaps one of us is in one of the shops; the blacksmith, or the carpenters, the gardening or the beekeeping shop. Beefield is just down the road (South) from the Ogeechee River for fishing and kayaking.. Brooklet is 6 miles for grocery and restaurants, fuel and pharmacies.

Bliss Hills Farm

8 sites · Lodging, RVs75 acres · Claxton, GA
Our beautiful unique property has been in the family for 3 generations. Over the years, our family, plus artists, musicians, & writers have come here to refresh and get inspiration from nature. But with Hipcamp, we've opened up for others to enjoy. We have walking trails, a pond where you can kayak, relax on the dock, or feed the huge fish (sorry no fishing allowed.) Also, on our property, there are swings, a tree house deck, obstacle course, fire pit area, wooden bridge, picnic table, and abundant bird life. There's also plenty of wide-open space where you can play frisbee, run, do yoga, and stargaze at night. There's plenty to do in this area, using the farm as your base. Claxton, our hometown, is a great friendly, small-town with grocery and hardware stores and restaurants. Many guests like to side-trip over to the towns of Statesboro, Metter, Vidalia, and Savannah, plus the Golden Isles.
