Michael and Kimberly Duke bought a small cabin on the Canoochee River to enjoy as a family. They decided to list it on a vacation rental site. As this property was in full demand, another property became available to buy. As interest began to increase, the family decided open up the options for their visitors. At this current date, they have four cabins and a yurt, as well as, tent sites. We are excited about the yurt that was completed in August 2019. They are looking forward having another cabin in the near future. Learn more about this land: Spend a few days in a yurt on the bank of the Canoochee River! Locate a few miles from a small town. Grocery store, gas station, and dollar store! Wake up to the music of the birds and sit on the deck as you enjoy the fresh air! Take in nature like it was meant to be.

6. Stagger Lee Music Park

26mi from Vidalia · 156 sites · RVs, Lodging
Located in the heart of southeast Georgia, in a land of tradition, we strive to keep our country roots, where Southern Hospitality meets hillbilly. All our buildings are rustic, in keeping with the old-timey mountain music that we play. If there's one thing our guests have to say about us over the years, it's that they always leave here feeling like they're part of the family.... because they are. All our sites are large enough to accommodate even the largest camper or motorhome Electric, water, and sewer are available, and WI-FI is provided as a courtesy to our guests Be sure to be on the lookout, and sneak up on the pond and swamp quietly, as you could see wild turkey, deer, beavers, otters playing, birds of all types, including ducks and geese. Once in a great while, you may spot our little alligator hiding out at the back of our pond.

Dodge County Public Fishing Area

7. Dodge County Public Fishing Area

Park 43mi from Vidalia · 1 site
Anglers, this one goes out to you. The Dodge County Public Fishing Area is the place to go for some fantastic fishing. You’ll be able to enjoy 444 acres in Georgia’s middle coastal plain, but you’ll likely want to head right over to the 104-acre Steve Bell Lake. The lake is managed specifically for fishing, and it shows. You’ll find coves, points, shallow creek channels, a small island, and even submerged structures that are all designed to give fish that “come hither” vibe. And, to top it all off, the entire area simply oozes peace and tranquility. There’s even primitive camping if you want to hunker down and stay for a bit.
