Jerry's Fishing Lake - Camping

5 sites · Tents7 acres · Kite, GA
Enjoy fishing and camping right by the water. This beautiful 15 acre track hosts 2 private ponds. Both ponds are fully stocked with bass, bream, catfish, carp and crappie. Tent campsites are located all around the 2.5 acre pond. Keep up to 8 lbs of fish for your family or $3.50 lb thereafter. (catch and release is OK). A fishing license is not required on this private property. Campfires are allowed inside your site's fire pit, so bring your own firewood and enjoy a great cookout at night. The lake(s) are kept overly stocked so the fishing is almost always great! Expect to catch fish ranging from 2 lbs - 60lbs. Our farm raised Channel Catfish are hard to beat when it comes to great taste. We have a live bait and tackle shop on site along with food/snacks. If you are looking to catch a lot of fish with family and friends you can't beat Jerry’s Lake.

Bliss Hills Farm

8 sites · Lodging, RVs75 acres · Claxton, GA
Our beautiful unique property has been in the family for 3 generations. Over the years, our family, plus artists, musicians, & writers have come here to refresh and get inspiration from nature. But with Hipcamp, we've opened up for others to enjoy. We have walking trails, a pond where you can kayak, relax on the dock, or feed the huge fish (sorry no fishing allowed.) Also, on our property, there are swings, a tree house deck, obstacle course, fire pit area, wooden bridge, picnic table, and abundant bird life. There's also plenty of wide-open space where you can play frisbee, run, do yoga, and stargaze at night. There's plenty to do in this area, using the farm as your base. Claxton, our hometown, is a great friendly, small-town with grocery and hardware stores and restaurants. Many guests like to side-trip over to the towns of Statesboro, Metter, Vidalia, and Savannah, plus the Golden Isles.

Sweet Blossom Alpaca Farm

3 sites · RVs, Tents18 acres · Millen, GA
Our farm is very peaceful and we knew it was a special place when we found it during our search when we decided to move our alpaca farm from FL to GA. We have raised alpaca for last 14 years. They are a fiber producing animal (similar to sheep) as well as just a beautiful animal, have great personalities and it is amazing to watch the herd dynamics. We have 3 very spoiled donkeys (mom, daughter and gelded son) - have had them for about 18 years. We are committed to the best care possible for our animals and love to educate people about alpacas (and donkeys). We have a farm store onsite with various items for sale made out of the alpaca fiber (socks, scarves, sweaters, hats, plushies, etc). As part of your stay, we will offer a short alpaca farm tour! There is a 2 acre lake on our property which is adjacent to the campsite area separated by a fence. The campsite area is located away from our main house and the alpaca barn - fairly private. We have a bathroom onsite and a shower (no hot water at this time) - a walk from the campsite area. There is a picnic table available.
