The property features a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with catfish and bream and has a nice little dock with a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the water.
There are animals! I have a beloved Scottish Highland cow named Genia and she is joined with two mini bulls and two mini cows. Various numbers of Nigerian Dwarf goats join them in the pasture. There are also a few chickens.
Small garden beds and a fruit orchard are on the property and I usually have at least a half dozen projects of one sort or another going on.
Several acres are wooded and there is ample space for a nature trail that I try to keep maintained. Several of the usual types wildlife can be seen.
Are you an artist or a writer? This is a great place for comtemplation and inspiration. I myself have 40 years experience as an art teacher and professor. If you would like to have a mini workshop, let me help.
Water is available not far from the campsites. There is also a portable pop up potty/shower tent (with bucket and seat) available.

We got to meet the hosts this time and they were wonderful and gave us fresh blueberries from their own blueberry bushes. :) we love this spot because are dogs can be (mostly) free to hang out and swim. This is a great spot for a private camping weekend. We have a reactive dog and really wanted to be able to take him camping for a weekend where he could enjoy the water and this was the perfect spot for that. We didn’t see a single other person except a few neighbors driving in and out. It was very quiet and peaceful. The spot is very flat to park on and has a great view of the lake. We really enjoyed our time here and would come back. The only downside is the ants, which the host was very forthcoming about ahead of time so this is really more of a “come prepared / nice to know” than a con for this site. The host was also very communicative before and during our stay!

Absolutely fantastic 4 day stay. The site was huge, private but close to town. The lake cove was quiet with an occasional boat or jet ski. The trees provided shade but don't block the view of beautiful Weiss Lake. We will return as it is almost too good to be true 😃

This is a beautiful location overlooking the lake under large shade trees. Perfect for those that want a break from the sun. There is plenty of sun to be had down on the docks if the weather cooperates. Easy to navigate as the site is set up as a pull through with two entrances. Hook ups were in great shape. I have no issue recommending this spot.

The site is wonderful with a beautiful view of the lake and your own private pier on the water. The owners happened to be next door during our stay and they introduced themselves and told us to send a message if there were any issues or questions. We didn’t have any but really appreciated their hospitality. We had to cut our trip short due to weather, but would definitely be interested in staying at this spot again in the future.

We had the most relaxing 3 days at Shannon’s site with 4 adults and 3 kids (10, 8, & 1.5). We spent hours fishing. My eight year old caught 9 bluegills and we observed the real pros catching bass. The huge dock was perfection! You could find us either floating from it or jumping off it during most daylight. All hookups worked like a charm. We will definitely make a plan to return.

We absolutely loved our long weekend getaway at Strattanooga! Shannon and her family are the best hosts and their place is absolutely amazing! Meticulously well maintained, easy hookups, and a nice level spot. Breathtaking views of the lake and an easy walk down to the private dock make this one of the best sites we've ever stayed in!
I can't recommend this amazing spot enough. We can't wait to come back sometime soon!
