The Cove consists of 12 acres with a tributary stream and spring fed ponds less than a half mile from the Toccoa River. It was originally the water source for the surrounding properties prior to the city installing a water system. It is completely private and unspoiled nature, with about a mile of walking trails throughout. The Mountaintop is a 3 acre high elevation site bordering 140 acres of undisturbed woods and is also very close to the Toccoa River. Fantastic location yet very private for base camp to access the many activities in this area, or enjoy the Toccoa River. It is the only campground in Fannin County limited to only one group at a time. Each site includes 2 access points to the Toccoa River. The Gibbs Drive community river access lot has a charcoal grill, picnic table, boat launch, swimming rock and fire pit with chairs. The Toccoa River Forest community river access lot has a big boat ramp. The river is controlled flow and usually at low water from dawn to about 2 pm, ideal for fishing or swimming/wading/boulder bopping. The River release schedule is available online at the website TVA.gov. The River has swift current when the dam is opened for release, usually daily. This property is conveniently located in Mineral Bluff, Georgia 30559, just 4 miles off the 4-lane highway (Highway 515/76) and just a short drive to Blue Ridge, Georgia; Blairsville, Georgia; Murphy, North Carolina, McCaysville, Georgia and Copper Hill, Tennessee. It is a paved road drive all the way to the entrance. It is located just a few miles from the center of downtown Blue Ridge with art galleries, many restaurants, brew pubs, shopping, the Blue Ridge Brewing Company, Mercier Orchard, the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad, and more! The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad runs most of the year from Blue Ridge to McCaysville, right along the Toccoa River. The campsites are equally close to downtown McCaysville, Ga. /Copper Hill, TN. Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 6 Inch mattresses are very comfortable! Using the outdoor solar/camp shower is wonderful. The privy is clean and well-ventilated. Appliances: fan; toaster oven; microwave oven; coffee maker; and, small micro-fridge. Lighting is provided by four rechargeable lanterns. Screens on the windows and door to keep the bugs at bay. Outdoor deck features comfortable Adirondack chairs, a Weber charcoal grill, and a fire pit for campfires. I'll provide you with wood (on a donation basis . . . pay what you like) campfires. Matches and paper provided, too, to help get the fire started. The play area offers opportunities limited only by your imagination. Sunbathing? Stargazing? Badminton and Bocce balls provided if you want to play! Weekend Trip to Salty Pines Hideaway

I had such a wonderful stay at Salty Pines! From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome. They helped carry our things from the car. Tiki gave us a fun ride on the 4x4, and even took the time to play with my son, which meant so much to him. The yurt was adorable, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The bed gave me the best night’s sleep I’ve ever had while sleeping "outside". My son absolutely loved playing with the hammock, and we both enjoyed spending time around the fire pit. I really like the picnic bar table. It was such a nice touch and made meals outside even more enjoyable. You can tell a lot of thought and care has gone into creating this place. We made some wonderful memories here, and I'll definitely be back soon!

Weekend Trip to Your Toccoa River Cove!

We had a wonderful stay here! The wooded area in summer provided enough privacy from nearby neighbors. The shelter was a great amenity to set up our entire camp and the Project Chimps hiking trails nearby were great!

Billy’s land is absolutely gorgeous and he has done well turning it into a magical retreat. The chapel is stunning and Billy made sure we had everything we needed. He and his animal friends were so welcoming. 11/10 would visit again.

Weekend Trip to Salty Pines Hideaway

My crew had a great evening at Salty Pines. Got up early the next day to go whitewater rafting (camp is 20 min. from the Ocoee). Next visit I plan to stay for the whole weekend! Exceptional amenities for being so far out in the woods.

This place is awesome. It's situated in thick forest with lots of greenery. The yurt I slept in was super nice and the campground comes with a shower, bathhouse, and WiFi. Perfect for an inexpensive but quality getaway from Chattanooga or other places

Tighe was a great host, the yurt was nice and honey and the bed was great. I went and hiked to a waterfall and slipped and fell hard and when I got back Tighe got me a camping chair to sit in, a first aid kit, and dry socks. I'll definitely return. They're building something special there and it's a beautiful place. Take the back roads and drive through the Cherokee National Forest, it's great!

Our stay with Gary was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at home. Gary is truly one of the kindest, most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway. The campsite felt like our own private oasis. The peaceful setting was exactly what we needed to escape and relax. One of our favorite parts was listening to the creek nearby. The sound of the flowing water was so calming and made the whole experience feel even more special. Breakfast was amazing! I had the BLT quiche, and my husband had the camper-style skillet. Both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It was the perfect way to start the day and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Even the outdoor shower exceeded our expectations. The water pressure was fantastic, especially for an outdoor shower, and the temperature was always perfect. It was such a refreshing experience and showed how much thought has gone into making guests comfortable. Every detail reflected the care Gary puts into hosting. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. We can’t wait to come back in the winter and experience the property in a different season. Thank you, Gary, for your kindness, hospitality, and for creating such a wonderful place. We highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

Weekend Trip to Woodsman at Starr Mountain Retreat

My buddy and I had a great weekend getaway to relax at the Woodsman Cabin at Starr Mountain Retreat on 23 acres in the Cherokee National Forest near Reliance, Tennessee. This place is the real deal. It is quiet, private, and surrounded by woods with that perfect peaceful vibe. The cabin is spotless, well laid out, and seriously comfortable. The queen bed in the main bedroom and the twin beds up in the loft were both very comfortable. They have literally thought of everything. There is a full kitchen, gas fireplace, grill, and all the little details that make it easy. You could literally show up with just a suitcase and feel like you’re checking into a hotel room. No scrambling for basics. They even had an abundance of dry firewood ready, and they thought of the little things like dry kindling in a bucket ready for use. The fire pit served us well for some great evenings chilling out. The owners were responsive, and it really shows in how well the place is set up. We felt that the advertisements for this location actually undersell just how excellent it is. This is a first-class spot in the woods. Already talking about coming back. Highly recommend it for any guys looking for a solid relaxing getaway. Thanks Nola and Brian! 🙌

Weekend Trip to Woodsman at Starr Mountain Retreat

Absolutely the perfect cabin. The cabin had everything we needed and only needed to bring our clothing and food. Nola has thought of everything for this cabin all the way down to the kindling for the fire. The beds were comfortable and the hot water was hot. The AC worked great and we loved the fire pit and front porch.

This is a piece of paradise, with a stream running right by the campsite, all you can hear is the water running by you and setting you up for the ultimate relaxing experience. Gary (the host) has thought of everything you need and has an immediate response if you have any questions or need any help with anything. His two little dogs are great and super welcoming and friendly. The location is super convenient to Helen and surrounding areas and all they have to offer. I highly recommend a visit and stay here if you havent!

You are definitely in the mountains now! shelter is hand crafted from all rough sawn locally sourced wood from the site or from Fannin County forests.

The cabin was absolutely great! It was the perfect cozy retreat into the woods to disconnect and relax. The jacuzzi was a huge highlight and very enjoyable. Everything went smoothly, and Joni and Moni were great hosts—very attentive and fast to respond. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful spot, even in the rain. We booked last minute as an anniversary getaway and a need to reconnect with nature. Gary is excellent, walking you through everything he has set up for you when you arrive. We loved the little trail that followed the stream, and the area near the tire swing. He also told us about a nature trail across the street. Breakfast is AMAZING and so worth it. I had the quiche and my husband had the skillet. It is so nice after spending a night in a tent to wake up knowing you don’t have to make breakfast!

Gary’s camp was absolutely terrific! It was like a Bed and Breakfast with Glamping. The tent was spacious, the shower was hot, and the bed was very comfortable. His food was gourmet quality delicious. Highly recommend staying at Herzen Platz - you have to get the breakfast!

1 night at The Heart Center

We loved our stay in the a-frame and wish we could have stayed more than one night. It was cozy and tucked away with a beautiful view of lush green forest. We had the entire place to ourselves which was magical and restorative. The mattress was also very comfortable which was a plus! Liz kindly also provided extra gear (blanket, bug spray, lamp) since we had flown in and didn’t have extra gear. She was so hospitable and generous during our brief stay. We kept the window-wall up all night and had a great night’s sleep in the fresh air!
