Hut or Tent, your choice. We just added the tent platform and it is your choice as to tent platform or Hut. They are about a football field away from each other. Get away from it all on a secluded mature wooded hill twenty minutes from the Ococee River. You can feel how old the Appalachian mountains are here. Remote enough and private but no 4WD needed (flat terrain to parking) and enough neighbors if needed (road running through property leads to subdivision by Apalachia Lake so has traffic on it.) To the right of the road is a creek and bog, to the left we have several acres of woods to explore and relax in. You will see an occasional car on the private road that runs below the Hut but on the hill, you will have complete privacy. Please note we have not yet added a firepit or compost toilet to the tent platform so you will be needing to go to the Hut for both of those. You can get to the Hut from the Platform along the road or through the woods. It is a beautiful place to chill and hang out that we are happy to share with you. Three of ten acres to the right of the road that runs through our property are a bog that runs along a creek with the creek joining wild remote Apalachia Lake. (Pretty much unpassable Nature saying keep out.) But enjoy hiking and exploring our seven gently sloping mature wood hills. There are also lots of well maintained dirt hillside roads for exploring or biking. Enjoy our Baba Yaga hut with only the bare necessities but you will be flat, dry and able to enjoy the woods all to yourself. Or the Tent Platform pretty much complete privacy. Weekend Trip to River Ranch @ Summerville, GA

Doni was an incredibly gracious and kind host who went above and beyond to be helpful! The property was perfect for our single night trip, and there seem to be several different sites available depending on what you’re looking for. The spot we selected had a fire ring, had enough room for several tents, and felt secluded even though it was just a 3 minute walk back to our vehicles. There is some road noise at night you can hear, but otherwise we had a wonderful time. We had some success fishing as well along the river, which was quite exciting. The paddle board was fun as well. Would love to come back with a larger group.

We absolutely loved the relaxed and private nature of our stay. The sound of the water and the peaceful surroundings were everything we needed to unwind. We stayed under the RV cover in our campervan and extended tent due to the rain which completely kept us dry! The host checked in on is by text and were proactive in all their instructions and information. I highly recommend and plan to come back!

Loved staying at Randy’s spot! The location is beautiful, especially in the fall. The trees are gorgeous this time of year. I did some fishing in the lake on property, with plenty of success, which is always a plus. The peddle boats were such much fun to use! Sites included bathrooms and plenty of firewood, which made the experience even more enjoyable! Randy was super responsive about any questions I had. Overall, I had an amazing time, I and the property was everything I could have wanted for a nice getaway. Will be back soon!

Perfect for rugged camping but with shelter & a shower! Feels secluded, but you still have cell service & civilization nearby in case you need anything. Also lots of historical sites nearby. Caught a few fish in the pond & enjoyed cooking over the fire. Cabin & bathroom were clean and owners were extremely nice! Would love to come back in summer so I can enjoy the flowers!

We had a great time the site was beautiful! My kids loved the pond and the peddle boats! They are young girls (5-7) so they didn't like all the bugs running around (eye roll it's camping lol) (not anymore bugs then your normal tent camping site actually maybe less then normal) so we end up only staying the first night and left evening of the second. The wife and I will definitely be back soon without the kids for at least a night away!

Weekend Trip to Henson Cove

We just got back from a weekend at Henson Cove and our family had the best time. The place is peaceful, clean, and has that quiet mountain charm that makes you want to stay a little longer. We spent our weekend fishing at the lake and really enjoyed the on-site trails. Evenings by the fire were our favorite. We roasted marshmallows, watched the stars, and enjoyed how quiet it was without all the noise of everyday life. If you’re looking for a nice, relaxing spot to spend time outdoors, Henson Cove is a great choice. We’re already planning to come back.

Weekend Trip to Mulberry Gap - Camping & Van Stays

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Mulberry. We were only there for stop and go since we had plans in Ellijay but we are stoked to come back. The campsite is great with nice bathrooms with hot showers. The staff for us was the highlight. SUPER friendly and hard working folks. And if you’re going to stay here take advantage of the meals. The dining hall is so cool. Make sure you’re on time though! The staff wears a lot of hats and they are hard working.
