Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! In fact, my mother grew up there after my Grandfather returned from WWII when there was no electricity and the outhouse was a bench over the creek. I grew up hiking the mountains with my brothers and our BB guns and my Uncle Frank at our family reunions. In 2005 he deeded us a parcel of land and we built our first cabin - Smawlie. We love to come to the cabin and Hike the trails on our own property, and of course, the world famous ones that join them, namely the Bartram and the Appalachian Trails. As you explore the lake, the trails, the rivers, and the mountain roads you'll see why our ancestors settled here. In 2018 - we bought the remainder of Uncle Frank's land - and in his honor built our second cabin - Frank's Landing. Also in that year I started managing my brother Bill's cabin. When we were stationed in Alaska for 6 heavenly years - we purchased a remote parcel of property and have slowly begun to develop it. We just completed building our cabin there. All linens are provided (all bedding, kitchen towels, bath towels, etc) and additional linens are available upon request. Each treehouse has a kitchenette area, complete with sink, drip-pot coffee maker (coffee, creamer, sugar provided), toaster, microwave, and half-size refrigerator. You’ll love my place because It has three decks, one with a hot tub, it’s close to Tubing, Zip Lining, Wineries tourist activities and its in a gated golf development. the outdoors space, the ambiance, the neighborhood. Perfect for couples, families and big groups. The space You get the complete use of the whole house in the Innsbrook golf development in the city limits of Helen Georgia Guest access The development has a community pool, tennis courts and pickle ball courts. It’s right after you go through the guard gate. The guard can give you directions. It is in the section called the sports complex. They only area off-limits to guests is my locked owners closet. The rest of the house has complete access. Other things to note Questions I get occasionally from guests: one bedroom is on the main level. Once you get in the house it requires no additional stairs. 3 bedrooms have queen beds, the master has a king and except the lift has a daybed with a pop up trundle., usually it is set as twin beds. 2 nights at Hiawassee Glamping

We had an awesome stay at the container tree house. Wasn't sure what to expect but we were extremely happy. The view is amazing and the house its self is cozy especially for a couple looking for a great weekend. My wife had an amazing birthday and went on and on about how great the place was. The hot tub looking out into the mountains with the lake below is pretty epic! Brian the host gave us tons of recommendations and even helped us find a mountain biking trail where my wife got to have her first ride and now she's hooked. We will definitely be coming back and will most likely try all three units on the property as they all look killer. I almost don't want to write this review so that we can keep this a secret for ourselves. Thanks Brian, we will be back...

I have to say, this was hands-down the best organized, cleanest, easiest, most amenity-laden cabin I’ve ever rented. So many details, from the embroidered robes to the bound book of instructions and recommendations. From the kitchen appointments to the coffee. There are really too many amazing little things to list here, but you could really tell the owners absolutely care about the experience their property provides. And we went panning for gold in the creek below the back deck and even found a little! It was incredibly comfortable and lots of fun. Just make sure you’re ok with stairs and aren’t too large to fit the spiral to the loft. I honestly cannot think of a single improvement to make. Didn’t even matter that it rained so much, because there was plenty left to do inside.

Gary was so welcoming and kind! My partner and I really enjoyed our one night getaway in the woods! It was peaceful and super close to Helen! We both loved the spaciousness of the tent and amenities provided. The coffee maker was a welcome addition as well as the hot tub! However, keep in mind that the hot tub is not by the campsite, but near the host's house, so bring a swimsuit! I read the reviews prior, so I knew this. The host's house is far enough away to feel private, but close enough to have some peace of mind. He has several dogs as a reviewer mentioned, but they are SUPER sweet and friendly. The only time I heard them bark was when he was on his way to bring us our delicious breakfast! Don't go in expecting something super fancy. This is camping...but in comfort! I wasn't feeling very good when we decided last minute to camp, so this was just what I needed. Nature with some little comforts of home and security. Thank you Gary. We truly appreciate your hospitality and the effort you put into making your guests feel comfortable and welcome! You're awesome!

Gary's warm welcome made it feel like home, and his hospitality was top-notch. He lives on site, but strikes the perfect balance between giving you all the privacy you need and being available for a chat whenever you want. The campsite's secluded setting allowed me to truly unwind and enjoy my own company. The food offerings were a delightful surprise, with tasty dishes and beautiful presentation. This was the best experience, we were able to have a girls trips group of (4) Gary was the most amazing, he accommodated us graciously, we were able to check in at 9pm he was able to make an appearance and show us around the camp site and communicated how we would like breakfast in the morning which was incredible it was presented beautifully and of course it’s taste was outstanding we felt very welcomed very safe and comfortable he was even able to help us start our fire! The was the ultimate experience! I’m truly grateful to have found Gary’s rare treasure and I will be coming back. The hot tub was relaxing we were provided drinks and towels.
