Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi.
An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm.
Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired.
The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse).

We live on site on 17 acres that is surrounded by large tracts of undeveloped land with the Oconee National Forest within 1/4 mile and the Ocmulgee river within 1 mile. The name Seven Islands comes from the rich history of this area and the nearby trading site between Native Americans and settlers in the 1800s on the seven islands of the Ocmulgee River. For Equestrian campers, we have an electric hook-up near the house and a round-pen size paddock for horses (or can make panels into stalls) +$7/horse/night. To be open some time in 2025* We are happy to ride with you when available if desired - or we recommend using the Outdoor Active or Gaia app. Our tent camping area is a peaceful, shady area overlooking meandering Kinnard Creek. The dirt road is within view, but it is a country road rarely travelled by anyone other than kayakers and other recreationists. You may hear the friendly nicker or see our 3 horses coming to check you out, but their pasture area does not intrude on the camping area. Hike or ride your horses on the nearby trails. The Fried Green Tomatoes cafe and Sac-O-Suds (famous from the movie "My Cousin Vinny") [Edit: Sac-O-Suds store is currently closed. But still a scenic drive-by] are an easy drive as well as Covington GA where you can see The Vampire Diary clock tower (or take a tour of other filming locations). There are many quaint shops in town, a 10 minute drive, or in nearby Madison GA. This is a great country getaway to reconnect with nature and peace. We are just far enough away not to be intrusive, but near enough if you need assistance.

Mushroom hunters PARADISE with golden Chanterelles, Lions Mane and Oyster mushrooms are abundant! Feel free to harvest whatever the land provides as a perk for your stay!
Ghost hunters~ many boarders have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops.
We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars
Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 amp electrical hook up, hot/cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with toilet.
We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

I really really enjoyed tent camping at River Ranch! The land is beautiful. There are a few trails that you can walk along the river and see the wildlife. Doni and Laiza ,were very responsive to any questions that I had during my stay and made suggestions on where to walk and what to look out for as far as wildlife. My experience was a 10 out of 10! I will definitely be back soon.

As always liberty stables is always a site to see from the chickens to the goats and watching the horses graze the beautiful pastures. The clear dark night skies with beautiful stars. One night was able to sit out and watch an amazing lightening storm. Everyone is just so friendly. I’ll be back in a few weeks!

We stopped here for one night after and exhausting 2weeks RVing up in NC. This is property is absolutely beautiful. So clean and in order. Impressive. Too bad we only stayed one night... my kids will love it when come back and stay longer. Mr Durand is a pleasure to exchange with. Too easy. If you really love horses... you'll really love this.

The place was absolutely lovely, even though the campsite say $30 a night with the service fee from hipcamp it makes it $40 a night it was still doable,we stayed in campsite 5 and even though our tent was bigger than the wooden covered pad for putting your tent on it still had a great spot to put our larger tent up. We had pre-ordered firewood and it was stacked nicely buy the fire pit upon our arrival. We were there for relaxation but if you're going there expecting the wi-fi at camp 5 that's not going to happen but just driving up to the main office or the covered bench by the horse corral you got it if you needed it to check in with family. Next time I think I'll go to the campsite 4 which has the Wi-Fi constantly.
Unfortunately there were a lot of flies there but with a quick trip to the Dollar general we got fly strips and that maintained them from being our problem. It was cool at night being able to hear the farm animals and the rooster and just nature. We did get some rain during the day and one night, and having it covered tent pad became our outdoor patio and was able to enjoy the rainstorm and stay dry instead of in the tent.
Needless to say we had a wonderful time there and do plan on going back.....soon

Loved the camp site! It was a perfect little hideaway tucked into the tree line. There was awesome signage leading up to the site, and the host were very good with communication. Definitely recommend this place and would definitely stop by if on my way through again!

Casey & Jessica’s spot was just as described! Site 1 is nicely shaded and provided plenty of room for our truck & trailer. Jessica drove by to introduce herself as they live close and made sure we didn’t need anything. I would recommend Georgia Bushcraft to anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway.

Love this campsite. You can pull right into it. You can hang hammocks, put up tents, car camp… whatever is your pleasure. Clean, big fire pit too. I don’t have kids but there is a fun forest playground nearby too. Great place for an overnight or to attend one of the survival workshops.

The property is beautiful and the signs are very easy to follow when you enter the property. The site was better than I could have hoped for and everything worked perfectly. The host and his son came and checked on me and could not have been nicer. I wish I could have stayed longer. The price is amazing for everything you get with this site!

We really enjoyed our stay! Pulling in and getting hooked up was really easy. We loved riding the horses and Anna was so nice. We also got to feed the emu and the pigs. There are ducks and chickens and some really cute and friendly dogs.I would definitely recommend!

My husband &I totally enjoyed our stay at River Ranch. We stayed in our travel trailer under the covered concrete pad surrounded by total beauty. So quiet & peaceful. Our dog loved playing in the river. Doni was very very helpful & kind. A fantastic Host!!!! We will definitely be back for another visit hopefully in the fall!!! This is one of the nicest HIPCAMPS we have stayed at!!!
