Very nice area, cows were mooing and there was a train every once in a while nearby that was really cool to see at night. Nice pond that looked like it’s stocked with fish. Host and pups were all very friendly. I would definitely go back!

Such a beautiful, peaceful place to camp by the lake. Host has a nice setup with a table and chairs by the lake. Was greeted by the sweetest, playful Black lab who challenged me to keep throwing his stick in the water. His tail never stopped wagging, such a good boy!

Bearden Farm overnight parking
Camping solo near the water was a great experience. Two large pups kept us company for the two days we visited. Scout, the first pup, kept the coyotes at bay and gave my son a sense of relief during the night. The fish were biting during the early evening. Wood is something the camper needs to provide as there are not many sources for firewood. The host was responsive and ensured we arrived at the site with little problems.

Such a beautiful place! Wayne was great! The landscape around the area is well kept. The dog is super friendly and well trained. I told him to sit and gave him a cracker (Don't tell his Human)😉 it's a beautiful spot to reconnect with a partner or with your own soul. Peaceful and safe.
The only request I would have is to make it off leash so I can bring my dogs, but I understand the difficulties with that. I'd recommend this place to anyone and you can't beat the price!

I loved our stay here. So clean, beautiful. and spacious. Loved the cows with their occasional Mooooo, and so grateful that they live a peaceful and healthy lifestyle here. The only thing I would suggest would be to add an extension of some sort to the bottom of gate so that dogs can’t escape under it. This way they can run around off leash. We will be back as we are looking for property in North Carolina and it’s a perfect stop for us on our way back to Florida. Thank you Wayne!

Bearden Farms is one of my favorite camp sites! It’s beyond beautiful. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, they have cows, and of course a massive lake. You’ve got to see it for yourself! 10/10.

The campsite was perfect. It was very beautiful there was a nice sunset and the fishing was great. The directions for how to find the campsite were wrong however.

Beautiful location on the lake. Woke up to gentle sounds of cows mooing and geese honking and fish jumping all over the water. Good for the soul and just what I was looking for.

So, maybe my visit wasn’t the best but it was in no way due to the site, host Wayne or his adorable dog. My first night was great despite arriving late and other than some train and distant car noise it was a great night. Unfortunately a storm came through and destroyed my tent/stay ruining what could have been a great stay in a beautiful setting. Can’t say enough about Wayne dealing with my destroyed tent without any word. I will do my best to get back if for no other reason than the repay Wayne for his understanding and to see his dog who I Miss greatly. I would highly recommend but don’t want it to book up.

This is the most stunning site. The lake is beautiful and there are rolling hills all around filled with cows and horses. The owner has two black labs— they are gorgeous and super friendly but we did have our dogs with us so we had to put them away in the tent for a while. Anyway, we would recommend and plan to come back.

What a beautiful spot! It was quiet and private and the idyllic lakeside location was very relaxing. Gorgeous sunsets across the lake, lots of birds, and views of cows grazing. (There were trains not far away but we love trains and they didn't bother us at all.)

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Cole the Black Lab was a sweet greeter. Lots of open space and very quiet, even with the occasional cows mooing. We will definitely be back!

The site is right next to the lake/pond. Their dog, Cole, is friendly and likes to hang around the area on his patrols around the lake.

I had a great time solo camping on Wayne’s property. The sunset over the lake was beautiful! I also felt safe and comfortable there as a woman camping by myself. The campsite itself was large and had a fire pit and two chairs. It was situated right next to the lake which I loved. It was slightly confusing to get to the campsite but luckily the lady (can’t remember her name) came to rescue and led me straight to it. She was super sweet! One other thing to consider is that there isn’t much privacy. It didn’t bother me bc I bring my toilet & tent but could be an issue for some. Would def recommend!

I was so sad when I couldn’t stay the entire night. I had to leave early due to personal reasons. This place is amazingggg. Right by the lake with a view, enough space to camp, cook a meal and just relax. The highlight was being able to star gaze and see the moon rise over the horizon. I will like to stay here again once I have more time. Wayne was great in communication as well!

Such a beautiful property. Quiet, relaxing and wonderful views. The neighbor came over to check on us once and the owner was out of town but was extremely responsive. There’s a friendly neighborhood black lab who will come and visit you too. Just throw him a stick and he’s your best friend. Can’t wait to come back.
