Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). Second time solo camping here at this quaint site. Beautiful area and the campsite is down a country road. Very peaceful for a great nights sleep. Chip was very accomodating and communicated well, even though he was out of town. I definetly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Emma’s Forest Hideaway

We had a very nice stay here. It’s very quiet, tucked up under some beautiful trees. Britt is a great guy y’all! Down to earth, easy to talk to, accommodating and funny. We came in a Class A 40ft, it was a little tight in spots but he’s currently working on that so if we can do it anyone can get in there with ease. We would definitely recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Brooks Lake, A Peace of Heaven

Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

We had the best time at Brooks Lake — it’s truly our happy place. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and it’s the perfect spot to spend time as a family. My son loved learning to fish and explore the outdoors, and we all enjoyed just slowing down and soaking up the quiet. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming — it really feels like home away from home. We can’t wait to bring our camper back for another weekend by the lake!

Beautiful property located in the heart of suburban Atlanta. To be honest, wasn't what I thought thinking this Aaron's land was further out of town? However, to Aaron's credit, he has chosen NOT to develop his gorgeous property and keep it pristine and instead turn it into an RV haven. Coming in from the highway with a large rig, it was a little nerve wracking coming in through town and into his property, but if I can fit ANYONE can fit. Lots of separation from others. Wonderful space.

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

Francisco was very welcoming and I felt at ease. I didn’t spend too much time at the campsite except to sleep, but it was nice to be in the woods at night and still have access to a modern-rustic toilet/sink. He offered to give me an awning during the rain as well, which I saw too late haha but was appreciated.

Weekend Trip to White Dog Farm camping

A peaceful site in a grassy field beside a gently flowing stream. Nice fire pit and host sells wood. Lots of horses nearby for company. Anna was helpful with arranging my arrival time. The only thing needing improvement is the porta-potty. It's slightly tilted and too crowded with accessories (bins, sanitizer dispenser, etc) getting in the way of the main purpose for visiting. A good location for visiting hiking trails, wineriess, etc. Lots to do in the area. I would definitely return.
