Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). The camping was amazing. The camp sites were extremely spacious. Lots of rooms to let the kids run around and not disturb other campers. The horses walking right upto you was an awesome experience. Mike and Rob were very attentive to any needs or questions (ice, wood). We will be back!

We had a great time at Lucky U Ranch and will definitely be back! The bathrooms, showers, coffee bar, and dishwashing station were absolutely next level and set a new standard for camping. Rob and Mike also did a great job thinking of little things that made this day even more enjoyable. And of course, interacting with the animals was great fun for our whole group. We are frequent campers and brought along first timers - this was a great place to “break them in“ 🤓 We’re looking forward to our next visit!

Our stay at Lucky U Ranch was wonderful. Robe and Mike are exceptional hosts. Very welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. The property is beautiful and well-maintained, and the bathrooms were spotless. We loved all the animals on the farm, especially the free-roaming horses and donkeys. And don’t forget to bring your binoculars, the stargazing there is absolutely amazing.

Let's just start by saying the reviews are spot on, and if we could give more than 5 stars, this place would be getting them. From the very start, the hosts were very connected and went over everything. The sites are perfectly maintained, well set up, and accommodating. The bathrooms were actually clean and functioning, there was coffee and hot chocolate in the morning, and having horses and donkeys roaming around was just icing on the cake. Out of the sites we have visited (HipCamp and State Parks), this one is by far our favorite and will be on regular rotation. You will not be disappointed in any aspect here.

Cool secluded spot for camping. Traveled with our 2 dogs for a quick overnight stay. The site had a fire pit and a table with chairs which was nice. There was a porta potty available close to the site. Quite & peaceful place to sleep under the stars. Host was responsive and super nice. No complaints :)

We had such a great stay! The campsite was private, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful woods — the perfect mix of comfort and nature. We even had horses wandering nearby, which made the whole experience feel extra special. The kids loved the swings, and the coffee bar was such a thoughtful touch in the mornings. The shower was super clean with great quality water — honestly one of the best we’ve had while camping! You can tell the hosts really care about the space and their guests. Can’t wait to come back!

You feel the isolation and privacy that everyone loves with camping but also have full bathrooms, showers and kitchenette if needed! We really enjoyed our stay at Dan's place. For us, it was a place where we could relax for a few days and get projects done around the house. Dan is personable, friendly, helpful, and considerate, touching base but allowing us our privacy. When the payment platform had issues, he was willing to extend our stay until I could get it worked out. The spot was flat, sandy but with grass, with beautiful old trees, and of course, his little farm. There is traffic noise but we are accustomed to that. Excellent spot to see a full moon! Very cozy and close to Brooksville, which has everything you need. We did Weeki Watchee and loved the little thrift store next door.

Great camping spot! If you follow The Crossroads on Facebook you can see what events are happening. There is plenty of space across the property. Rv spots are large and a few with full hookups. Several with just water and power and plenty for tent camping. The whole property is impressive with tons to do. Frank and everyone else out there are super welcoming. We will be back for sure. Thanks Frank for a great weekend.
