We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

We had a really peaceful stay at Honey Bee Ranch. Waking up to cows gently mooing in the distance was such a unique and calming way to start the day. The property is beautiful, quiet and full of wildlife and it truly feels like a place to slow down and relax. The RV sites are spacious, well set up and have full hookups. What an amazing place Rob and Mike created to share with those looking for great camping! Spent New Years at Lucky U Ranch, and it was fantastic! The sites are huge and far apart. Facilities are very well kept. Got some unexpected guests when the horses and mules decided to say hi. You will not find any better hosts, very attentive… met me at the gate and took me to the site, shared about the site and hiking trails on property as well as checked in daily and provided more firewood when I ran out. Happy to have found another place to add to my “visit again” list!

One of the best ranches I’ve ever been to! The land is kept so well and you can tell they are stewards of the land. Shower and bathrooms are top tier and my campsite was spacious, private and so peaceful. There were three hikes on the property that my dog and I went on throughout our stay. We even got a visit from the donkeys! I’ll definitely would love to come back!

We had a great stay at Frank’s hipcamp. We only stayed overnight on our way south but would have loved to stay longer. The land is beautiful surrounded by forest. Frank was so helpful. We arrived late due to a tire blowout and he drove over to give us extra light. Hookups are new and perfect. Highly recommend. Would definitely stay again.

This place is special. We’ve been twice & can’t wait to go back. With our 6 & 7 year old sons, it’s great to get out of the city and really feel like you’re in the country. With all the animals walking throughout the day, (especially morning, horses) it really makes the area feel magical. Great bathrooms with hot showers is a plus! We had a great time there, we used the camper on site and another camper spot next to it.
The sites are great. It’s private and surrounded by beautiful nature.
The horses came to visit us every morning.
The common area with kitchen and bathrooms is very well maintained. Bathrooms fully equipped with everything you’d need (from shampoo/ to towels and even a baby changer), and the complimentary coffee/hot chocolate makes us feel welcomed and appreciated.
You can see that Rob and Mike take really good care of everything and they care about their guests.
It’s definitely a special place!

Another great camping trip with my granddaughter Miya.! We have been here many times this year already! This is Miya's favorite place to camp and she really doesn't want to go anywhere else. She just loves the horses and other farm animals! .Rob and Mike are the best hosts and are so accommodating. They work hard every day on keeping the property so nice and clean and the guests comfortable. They really do go above and beyond! We really loved all the Christmas lights and decorations they put up. We hope to be back very soon! This is a great camping experience for anyone at any age and I would highly recommend it.
