Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

Weekend Trip to Wooded areas in a horse pasture

We tent camped on the pasture and loved it. There were several camper vans and one trailer that stayed there as well, but there was plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The shower was surprisingly hot and had great water pressure. The animals are very friendly, several horses, dogs, and cats roaming. One of the dogs, MaeMae, joined us for breakfast every morning we were there. She was so sweet. Just watch out for fire ants!

Great location since we wanted to be close to town but still off the beaten path. Ideal for kids to be close to the chickens and goats. Great host who were friendly especially toward the kids giving them some education and allow to assist in chores. Had access to fresh eggs and goat milk. A very relaxing & private atmosphere Would definitely return if we are in the area.

It was away from city yet close to main stores. The host was great and explained the farm. The kids even saw an armadillo running around.

We camped in a van and it was very quiet-slight hums of airplanes in the afternoon and very faint sounds of the gun range in the morning. Nothing to worry about if you are a light sleeper. (This is regarding the review that complained about the noise. ). Also, it did not smell like a farm. 😊 Gayle was quick to respond and we enjoyed our stay

Weekend Trip to Country Charm Ranch (near St. Aug)

We had a great time camping at Stephanie’s. Directions were clear and simple, and we had many different spots we could pitch the tent. We enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the animals and getting to spend some time with them. The turkey was very sweet! Great place for a short staycation, out in nature but not far from stores, restaurants and St. Augustine. Would recommend!

What a gem of a place. All the farm animals wandering around, with as much right to be there as any human. A chance to hang out, get to know them, pet them, feed them even, and nourish cross species relationships. :-) my partner and children and I loved this place. I would love to return again.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

It was AMAZING!! We stayed in the Wagon #2 it was clean had very nice bathrooms, comfortable bed everything you could ask for. Loved feeding the animals and got to help brush the horses. Elaine was an amazing host and workers were more then helpful with questions and telling you about the animals and how some got lucky to make it to Elaine’s farm. Would definitely do it again!

Shhhh don’t tell anyone but this Hipcamp is Paradise 💖 right ON the River, peaceful, breezy, private, wonderful path through the woods, surprising little “fairy lights” scattered about the property, and sunsets that are THE MOST Magical ☀️💥🧡 I can’t wait to come back - thank you!!

I only needed a place to stay with my trailer until I closed on a property. It was very convenient to where I needed to be, but close to traffic and across from the athletic field of the high school. There’s no internet at the camp site, but it’s also next door to the library where you can use wi-fi when it’s open. It must have a fire station nearby, because the emergency vehicles use the road all night long.

3 nights at Roots ReTREEt in Old Florida

Great communication with the host, Jay, who was off property at the time. He made sure that we had what we needed and answered any questions that I had. Hospitable. Also an AWESOME caretaker of the property, Liz. She showed us around and told us about the animals in the area. Jay and Liz made this trip so amazing. The site felt completely private. My son and I spent almost all of our time down at the outside yard area where there was cooking and device using and relaxing and napping for four days. I loved the hot tub. My son and I got to watch our first space coast launch from the backyard. (Thanks Liz! I wouldn't have known it without you!) My kiddo loved that! The outside cooking area was awesome and great accessibility being able to use my cooking stove and utensils and I have a two slice toaster and a single burner with pans. I was able to feed my son what I would normally feed him. And while there is no shower hookup the water hose was more than adequate for just about everything we needed and there is water in the sink down at the outdoor cooking area. And it tastes clean. It was quiet outside of random cars on the back road. Nights were very quiet. I wish I had taken pictures of the area but I totally forgot while enjoying the hot tub on site 24/7. The cabana is very comfortable for a nap by the way. There are so many chairs, lounging was easy. Loved the tornado fans that kept the outside cool and mosquitos out. It was perfect. We're coming for my birthday in a month!

We loved the privacy and space. It was a very peaceful weekend and there are lots of things to do in the area, like springs and fishing. It's very close to shopping and gas stations. Would be a great spot to camp during the Christmas season to visit Mt. Dora.

Weekend Trip to Serene Forested Blueberry Farm

We had such a lovely time camping with friends at the Blueberry Farm! Cassandra is such a wonderful, thoughtful and considerate host. The sites are all lovely - clean, comfortable, and well equipped with so many special touches. We had a great time exploring the sites in Forest and hanging at the site playing games and enjoying the fire. This was my 3rd time staying at the Blueberry Farm and I can't wait to visit again.

The property sits on 50 acres with natural beauty. This is a great location to relax and unwind from your busy stressful life. We are located 2 1/2 miles down a wide county maintained dirt road. It is very quiet and private out here on the ranch. There are no close neighbors in the vicinity of our property. On the property, we have an exotic bird sanctuary about 200 feet from the RV site. At times you will think you are in the Amazon jungle. The birds are very playful, entertaining to watch them play throughout the day. You are more than welcome to go and interact with the birds. There are swinging hammock chairs hung up in the sanctuary for your comfort. There is a variety of wildlife out here every day. You will see turkeys, deer, raccoons, armadillos, wild boars and even on occasion a black bear. There is a fire pit by the Rv site that you can use to sit around in the evening and enjoy a fire if you wish. However, we don't recommend you go walking out into the swampy brush area, as there is a lot of Florida native wildlife like snakes and etc. and we want you to be safe. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Our property is gated and fenced off and extremely private. And no one can just walk on to our ranch. We live and work on the property ourselves, and are just a short walk or phone call away. This is a very private place, no close neighbors. Our goal is to give you all the space and privacy you need and or require. Most of our guests are here to participate at an event at the Daytona 500 track. Only 35 minutes to get to the track in Daytona. We understand that alot of our guests are driving from long distances to get here. We will work with you on check in times not to worry. There is a ton of space to park your vehicle and trailer if needed. We are on well water out here in the country.

Olive Land Farms is a 12.4 acres farm growing over 2500 Olive trees of 8 different varieties of olives, from 3 of the most renowned olive producing countries in the world. They have been growing here in Hastings, Florida for over a year as they all migrated here from California. The goal of our research project is to establish whether olives could be a profitable crop for the State of Florida. Our research is headed by Reinaldo Valdes, PHD and with the collaboration of Olive growers from Andalucia, Spain. We have 2 varieties from Greece: Koroneiki and Kalamata, 2 varieties from Italy: Taggianca and Ascolana, and 4 varieties from Spain: Picuale, Manzanilla, Arbozana and Arbequina. We are hoping to have our first harvest in 3 to 5 years, until then, we are importing olive oil, representing some of the best olive oils in the world, and educating the consumers about the great qualities and properties of cooking and enjoying the best, heathiest oil in the world, as well as olives. Olive Land Farms also sell trees for homes and garden. In addition to our Olive grove we are a carbon farm, as our trees grow, they will be absorbing carbon dioxide form the environment. A fully grown olive tree can absorb 4.5 tons of carbon dioxide per year, according to the International Olive Council ( you do the math, especially when we are very close to one of the few coal burning power plants still in operation in our country) We are also a bird sanctuary, you will see a vast variety of birds, it’s an amazing show, we have different bird at all seasons, ducks migrating south for the winter as well as when they are heading back north, quite a sight to see, hawks, cardinals and cranes and the most amazing sunrises and sunsets, come visit with us. Formerly an animal sanctuary in the heart of the Country, Frith Field Farms is now a nature preserve and butterfly depot. We still have animals and take in rescues from time to time, but our mission has broadened to encourage hip campers to get out and enjoy a natural setting that promotes harmony between animal and man. We are proud to be pesticide free to give the pollinators a break.Learn more about this land:Pitch your tent in the manicured “BACK 10” on the wildlife preserve side and sleep amongst the stars and passing deer. If a cushier side is your speed, hook up to one of our 3 RV sites overlooking the Lake and people barn. Stay in the people barn on cots and wake up with the roosters, or stay in one of our onsite campers. Enjoy Paradise at Frith Field Farms, a private Animal Sanctuary. I can’t wait to meet you all! If you like motorcycles, I can take you on a tour of our local dirt roads and historical hot spots. Darwood Street is right off Bellamy Road, a historical road in Florida.
