Watch the otters play and count the many different birds that make this lake their home. Treat yourself sunsets every night as the sun disappears into the water and enjoy the awesome reflection of the moon as it sets on the lake.
(Check the moonrise/moonset tables to see if there is a visible moon during your intended stay - it really is an incredible sight).
We have an amazing outdoor shower, with hot and cold running water, overlooking the lake.
The extra large soaking bathtub is available for your use for $20 per stay if there are not other campers at the time due to us only having one bathroom available. Great for relaxing, bathing kids, or a very romantic evening.
Canoe, stand up paddle board and kayak available for your use at no charge.
You can paddle to nearby Gator Joe's which is an awesome spot on the lake for great food, drinks, and live music.
Electric and water hookup (garden hose) both sites.
RV 30 amp electric hookup, as well as regular 15 amp electric hookup on hilltop site.
Many trees on the property makes it tricky for large vehicles to maneuver, therefor we have a limit of 25 feet including tow vehicle.
Dockside site has 15 amp hookup. We do have an adapter to connect to 30 amp hookup. It is closer to the house and bathroom than site 2 and has more shade and easy access to the dock.
Pontoon boat rentals are available down the road.
Being on the lake we do have mosquitos but they are mostly an issue at dusk and dawn for about an hour but we are out in nature so insect encounters of all kinds are to be expected.
If there is a nice breeze, which is often the case, you can enjoy the sunset from the rocker loveseat at the edge of our dock.
We also have citronella torches available for rent.
We also offer a large bundle of firewood for $10.
Campers MUST check in by 10 pm. We recommend arriving during daylight whenever possible.
It is important you understand that our property is not in the wilderness. We are NOT a commercial campground.
We have a couple of acres in a residential area and there are homes near the campsite. That being said, you will have complete privacy at your campsites as the two sites are on opposite ends of the property and you will not see me at all other than when you check in, unless you desire to do so.
Both campsites face the lake however, and you may see some fisherman out there from time to time, but I guarantee you will see much more wildlife than people.
Each site has its own fire pit.
Our guests love this place because of the lake, the incredible sunsets and moonsets over the lake, and all the incredible wildlife we have here, as you can see from the reviews.
Well behaved pets are welcome off leash as long as they are supervised and don't bother other campers. They are not allowed on the porches. Please pick up any mess that is in the path of foot traffic. There is a $20 pet fee per pet per stay. Add it under extras. Pet sitting is available for an additional charge.

We are 20 minutes from world famous Silver Springs, 20 minutes from Ocala Drive-In Movie Theater that usually shows great films for both kids and adults, and 20 minutes from the Santos Trailhead that offers world class biking and hiking paths.
Unfortunately, I cannot do anything about the people that come here that have not read the description, expecting a wilderness campground and choose to leave a negative review based on that but everyone that has read the description has loved it here and many return.

We are farmers and ranchers so at any given time there is cattle horses and other farm animals around the property. There is lots of wildlife and areas we have for viewing. There are two flowing creeks on property. We have walking trails where wild fruit trees can be found and Chicken of the woods and other mushrooms. There are very large untouched, live oak trees scattered around the property.

It is surrounded by acres of Pine Forest so enjoy the fresh air, listen to the birds, look at the wild life. We have about a dozen of chickens and a few roosters.The property is conveniently located 1 mile away from the Interstate 95, and 1 mile away from US1. 3 min drive to the grocery store( Publix).
Plenty of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming- within 10-15 minutes to the River, Beaches and the Ocean; tons of natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.
We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

A lot of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming( ocean is10-15 minutes drive), natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground (5min walk). Daytona Beach and historic St.Augustine( 20-30 min drive). A little over an hour to Orlando, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral.

Marci's directions to her place were helpful and she was responsive to my questions. I have a 17' travel trailer and was able to back into my site without any trouble. Aside from occasional noise from a neighbor, Marci's place was quiet. I especially appreciated the outdoor shower and enjoyed overlooking the lake.

The land is good and the backyard is somewhat secluded. You will be within earshot of other people, but it’s a pretty good setup. It’s probably an ideal place for a cluster of campers that know each other or don’t want full privacy. My problem with the owner began when I arrived. He did not know I was coming and blamed it on his wife. I will take him at his word. He asked about hookups and I informed him that my camper only uses 110 ac and I usually only a phone charger and coffeemaker (it was cold outside so no a/c). I also made an attempt to give him information about my setup. I plug the hookup to my car (ev) and then power the camper through the car. Sometimes the battery charges a little and tops off, but I recharge on the road at Buc-ee’s. Next thing I know he’s outside my camper at night with a flashlight waking me up and accusing me of using the power as a charging station. I was pulling little power and he didn’t hassle the huge rvs next to me running tons of stuff. I patiently explained my setup again and he apologized and said that it was his mistake. I would have left it at that and given grace for a bad day, but I never saw him again. Checkout was a pain because he would not respond and he hasn’t responded to any messages from me since. I’ve given up. I guess I just don’t like being accused and hassled when I’m paying to stay in a quiet spot and I need the sleep. I’m concerned I will get blasted on reviews and I truly tried to work this out

As we travel full time we have stayed at quite a few different hip camps. This is one of the best ones yet. The host greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our site. There is so much room that even if anyone else was there you’d still have room to spare. It’s super quiet and close enough to everything we will definitely stay again if we are back in the area. Thanks for having us!

My wife and I had a terrific few days at Roxie's camp. The hosts were welcoming and available, if needed... the sites were neat and well maintained... and the area was secluded, yet minutes away from stores, find, gas, and I-95... not that you would know it from the quiet and peaceful campsites.

We enjoyed our two nights at Marci's site. The site closer to the dock has a fire pit in a more secluded corner of the yard and with the tent placed and our truck parked next to it we couldn't even see the house. After welcoming us and guiding us in we didn't have any need to contact Marci and we had a peaceful stay. I think we would definitely stay again as the proximity to Santos trailhead was not too far. Only concern was that there are some lower branches along the narrow driveway that did brush our truck so anything larger might have difficulty unless they're trimmed.

We absolutely loved Surfers Paradize! Nick was a great host. He was friendly, available when needed but also gave us our privacy. The site was spacious and we really enjoyed the fire pit. Water, electricity and even a trash bin was provided. It was the perfect spot to stay for the race weekend at the speedway. Can’t wait to return!

We really enjoyed camping on Roxie's land. The site was spacious, flat and spread out from the other two which made for a sense of privacy. It made for nice views and felt remote even though it was right in town and close to our plans. Roxie was a gracious host and the resident roosters were a great wake up call, didn't need to set an alarm. Would stay again for sure!
