Weekend Trip to The Purple House

I had a wonderful stay at this Hipcamp. The host was very communicative and accommodating for my last-minute booking. She is a centrally located area and I would absolutely stay again. Definitely check out the catfish house in the area and St. Cloud downtown hidden gem

I was out on the lake—it was peaceful. Yet behind all that, there’s this wooded area just sitting there, full of potential. If they listed the property on Worldpackers, HelpX, and Workstay, they could bring in a crew of work-trade travelers and build out an entire mountain bike park in the woods. It’d be sick—all powered by people looking to trade labor for a place to stay. There are already some hippie types turning part of the land into a sustainable, organic farm. They could list that on WWOOF and grow it into something big. That old Airbnb building? Perfect for a farm-to-table restaurant. Bring in the guy with the smoker, use the produce from the farm, bass from the lake—bam, gluten-free, lake-to-table, farm-to-table cuisine. You’d have hang gliding, mountain biking, organic farming, all built and run by workstay folks. It’s a story people want to be part of. They could host RVers through Harvest Hosts too, share the whole story and let people experience it firsthand. If I owned that land, that’s what I’d do. You don’t need cash to get started—you just need people and a vision. I’d hire a promoter and say, “Fly your plane down to our airstrip, grab some BBQ, enjoy the trails, try hand gliding and eat fresh from the land.” Tell ’em: “We built our own Valmont-style bike park—powered by travelers and vision.” There are tons of people out there looking to build something real. That land is just waiting.

Weekend Trip to Family Farm Close to Everything!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend at the farm! Margarita and Rob were very kind and welcoming. Setting up our travel trailer was super easy. I loved meeting and learning about the animals - highland cows, mini donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks. Even got to hold one of the baby goats! We'll definitely be back again and plan to get our eggs from them moving forward. Would highly recommend!

Was nice place to stay. I stayed a few nights seen 2 rockets shoot off. You are close to the space center and to cocoa beach. But it's just outside the busy area so you don't hear traffic or any other noise. Has water hookup which is nice. Few bugs but nothing unexpected or overwhelming. I would definitely stay another night. Also a plus there is a home in the circle with art cars and a fun lit up house at night. Everyone I met including the host were very nice. I might try to move to the area I was very impressed. Thank you again.

1 night at Space Coast Camping

It’s a really basic parking spot, but the price is right for what it is. We were able to park no problem and enjoyed our chat with the other camper there. There is a sharp corner coming in to the neighborhood, but with a swing wide our truck and 32’ camper made the corner. The ground is pretty uneven so bring your levelers and chocks. We didn’t use the spigot since we had water on board so I can’t speak to that. The best part was how close it was to the launch site! We went to a nearby bridge to watch the first launch of the night around 7pm; and we didn’t realize there was a second one happening the same night at 10:30 until our whole camper started shaking with the noise! We ran outside and caught the tail end of the launch from right outside our door. So cool! The biggest downside of the site is the bug situation- there’s a water filled trench at the rear of the property and I’m sure it produces lots of bugs. Additionally there were lots of stray cats around and therefore cat poo in the sandy spots. Overall we were happy with the spot for one night and the price!

Great spot! Quiet and private yet close to everything you may need. Very accommodating to make our stay comfortable. Would definitely come back. The duck eggs are great!

Good site, very well located for Kennedy Space Center and nice price. Be ready for small bugs! We feel the ground shaking when there is a rocket launch! Not a great cell coverage but it works. Host is really responsive and helpful.

Great place for a quiet get away. Easy to find, plenty of room even for a RV. Lots of shade for those hot days. Plenty of fire wood, nice fire pits, potable water, toilet cold shower ( feels good on those hot days) no one bothers you, you just do your thing. I really had a great time, highly recommendable !!!!

This property was wonderful! A great location for us, but you'd never guess it was tucked away in a city. The parking spot was super clean, and our kids really enjoyed seeing the animals.

We spent 3 nights at Quiet Pasture. I highly recommend this place. We had a fun time visiting with the Scottish Highlanders, donkeys, goats, and chickens. Margarita was very welcoming. It is obvious she cares a lot about her animals. A few goats even wondered over to us when we were outside reading. Definitely check this place out.

Good spot for checking out the space coast. Your rig will shake when a launch takes place! There is a sharp turn entering the neighborhood but I was able to make it without issue with my 43’ fifth wheel.

Mount Dora is across the main street less than 5 minutes away. Rennigers Antique Center is located right up the street (less than 5 minutes away) for some great picking. We are conveniently close to the Central Florida Attractions and the beach on both east and west coasts within an hour drivep. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more. We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

This property is called relic ranch because we have actually found a ton of old relics. the campground is under an ancient canopy of oaks. so youll always have shade. the center of the property is unique to say the least but the campground is nature at its finest. there is a 2.6 mile nature trail across from the campground to explore. also there is a boat ramp for fishing about 1/8 mile away. you are welcome to roam over most of the 80 acres. We have goats, cows and chickens as well. All super friendly.

Camp Shiloh

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! It’s up to you. We are a peaceful, safe location from which you can stage your Florida adventure. Come on by. We look forward to hosting you! You will be able to tour a growing permaculture food forest. JAI Jungle is named after the 5 year old who lives here and loves guests to play on the trampoline or swim in our tiny pool with him. We have trails to explore and you can see the stars and hear old almost every night. We have over 10 swimming holes within the hour including 6 springs: Salt, Juniper, Alexander, Silver Glen, Rainbow, Kelly Rock, and 4 lake fed beaches: Carney Island, Hampton Beach, Mill Dam, Gator Joes (with food and sometimes music). You can also take an OGFit class while you are here: 10 minutes of world class Calisthenics. Breathe control and guided meditations also available. We have water available and an outdoor shower. We have plenty of room yet no electrical hookups and usually do not have very large rvs. Campfires (burn wood only- no plastic) and music with respect to being a bit more quiet when its dark. Please keep dogs on a lease and clean up after them. Please remove all garbage. Thank you. We also have a 16’ Canvas Tent available for an extra fee (77 total) or a 3 person 2 door tent for 40$ total, or a small pop up tent for 35$ total.
