It was a wonderful relaxing stay!
Dona was a fantastic host and the tour was amazing! To see that many foxes up close, to feed them eggs was a bucket list moment!!
Relaxing on the porch listening to the melodic howl of the papa new guinea dingo was something I didn’t know I needed in my life!!
Also, the horses literally running around playing together is something I have never seen despite staying at horse sanctuaries before.
Book now you won’t regret it!

2 nights at Jungle Oasis
We had a great time staying here. It feels secluded but was just a short drive to town. Lots of great options within a couple hours drive for day trips, and we appreciated Dona showing us the animals in the sanctuary and sharing her story. Thank you for the accommodations!

Dominic was very responsive, helpful, and a super nice host. We're in a 39 ft fifth wheel with a long bed truck, so we can't turn worth a darn. Getting into the site was a challenge for us mostly due to immoveable objects (lamp post, storage tent, tree stump), but we also aren't very good at backing in. Dominic did recommend we back in through the property gate to be at the proper angle to get into the site, but we weren't confident we could do that given the narrow road & our long turn radius. Once in the site, all was wonderful. Shorter rigs likely have no problem. Great FHU site. Trees provide shade during most of the day. Very quiet atmoshere, even during evenings. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

The property had three different places to stay. We chose the “Florida Breeze” which was a two bedroom “Barndominium”. Although we didn’t need a two bedroom this particular property was very large inside and had plenty of room for us and our three greyhounds. The property was well maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. On site the host runs an exotic animal sanctuary where they rescue rare animals. We took a tour of the property and saw a huge variety of different birds, some foxes, prairie dogs, lemurs, sheep, deer, horses, and tortoise. The host was very accommodating and friendly, plus we only saw them if we needed something. I would definitely stay here again if I’m ever traveling in the area.

I can’t recommend Gulf Wind and Dona’s sanctuary enough! My son and I had planned a weekend camping outing originally scheduled at another location. We quickly realized the other location was not anywhere near what had been advertised and so I quickly contacted Dona to see if she had some last minute availability on her property. Dona was wonderfully responsive and super accommodating and so we headed over to hers as soon as possible.
Our experience at Gulf Wind was beyond what we could have expected! The cabin was perfect, it was outfitted with everything we needed, and Dona also went the extra mile to bring us a firepit so we could make dinner and s’mores over the fire.
Dona gave us a tour of the sanctuary and took the time to educate us on the animals and their efforts to keep them safe and healthy. My son was so thrilled to interact with these special animals and to get to know their personalities and preferences.
We will absolutely be back. Diego’s cabin was the perfect size for us. Next time we come (and there will be a next time!) we will try the larger Florida Breeze cabin with more of our family to change things up!
Thank you, Dona and family, for being so welcoming and accommodating. You seriously enriched my son’s experience and we appreciate what you’re doing for these amazing animals.

This site was very conveniently located. Very quiet at night. The host was very accommodating and checked to see if I needed anything. Site was easy to set up with full hookups and pretty level. Will definitely recommend.

A very lovely place with truly welcoming hosts. The room itself was neat, clean, and very comfortable to stay in. I especially enjoyed the wide variety of animals — it was such a delightful surprise! I was particularly impressed by the parrot that dances so charmingly. Thank you so much for the warm hospitality. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to treat themselves and their family to a unique experience with animals.

Everything was fantastic. The accommodation was exceptional and better then we expected. They had Everything we needed and more! Duck haven was immaculately clean. We expected to hear the animals and that they could wake us up but that'd isn't happen! Dona couldn't have been nicer to deal with. We highly recommend!!!

Wow!! This was our last stop on a Florida roadtrip and I’m so glad we finished it off with this place. The cabin was clean, bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Most importantly though, we had a tour done with Dona and got to meet all the animals! One of the highlights of our whole trip.

The animal tour was even better than expected! So many animals and interactive birds. Lemurs, ferrets, foxes, a dingo etc. The adults and kids loved this stay. We are hoping to come back next year for a couple more days. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

I had a wonderful stay at Diego's Cabin! The experience was truly special, and I can't recommend it enough. Dona and her family were fabulous hosts – warm, welcoming, and so thoughtful. The Gulfwinds Animal Sanctuary is an absolute gem! We loved the sanctuary tour, and the chance to connect with the animals was incredible. The dark sky and farm environment made for such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Whether you're looking to unwind or enjoy nature, this is the perfect spot. I'll definitely be back!

Dieago's Cabin is what we actually stayed in and it was super cute! Donna and her mother were very sweet and attentive. We loved the animals and our stay. We plan to make this a tradition and bring our little one as well! Thank you so much for everything!

It's a quiet and unique place. The breeze lodge is a livable fully loaded apartment. It was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. We were able to park our 25ft b class rv with no trouble at all. We didn't do a full tour but I saw peacocks, horse and my favorite ms. Piggy who lives out back she is super quiet and friendly possibly the best neighbor ever. The hosts are great the grounds are really pretty i love the Spanish moss that grows on the unique southern trees. You don't see that in the northeast. The white gravel road is great for walking, very scenic and not very busy with surrounding cow pastures.
