Amazing land, amazing people, beautiful space to be quiet and enjoy the greatness of this creation. I was the only one there and must say it was awesome! Hector and his sons were amazing came out and checked on me to see if I needed anything. The breakfast in the morning overlooking the rolling hills was the best. Weekend Trip to Camp Shiloh

Great spot to camp for the night and get going in the morning. Host is very friendly and had a good time.

6 nights at Annamac’s Hideaway

When we arrived we were met and directed where to pull in. Area was easily accessible for our 45 ft camper, back in. Very quiet area. Was worried because you are kind of close to owners house but barely saw anyone. Seems to be a very well used site, had a few other campers in and out. Again we really never saw others!!! Highly recommend. Very close to space center, Merritt Island refuge, site seeing, good dining and Cape Canaveral port. 30/50 amp hook up, water. Close to a Loves truck stop, KOA and other campgrounds for dumping waste. Had some plan changes and owners were very kind to accommodate for a longer stay!!! Thank you very much for your hospitality and sharing your space with us. Would definitely come back!!!

This is our second stay at lakeside. You will be hard pressed to find a better, private, full hook up property that is right on the lake. Four days of rest , relaxation and cool breezes coming from the expansive lake.

Craig was a great host, easy going and personable. Staying at Craig’s place was our second Hipcamp experience, and it was everything we could have asked for. The RV space is simply appointed with all the services, and access was unencumbered in our 24’ class-C motorhome. The neighborhood felt safe and provided a great place to walk our cattledog, Indigo. Fortunately Craig’s dog is easygoing and friendly like his “owner.” He tolerated our not so easygoing and not so friendly 11 year old Indigo girl. We would certainly stay here again should we ever find ourselves traveling down the east coast of Florida.

Had a wonderful stay here with the goats and chickens! By far the best outdoor bathroom & shower I’ve been to. The host is funny and generous, their property offers a surprising amount of privacy for its proximity to any shop you could need. They fit us in last minute midweek, truly a great spot to stay!

Weekend Trip to The Promised Land

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Promise. Just what we were looking for, a quiet place to stop for a day. With the recent dry weather the sand in the wooded area was quite loose though we had no issues getting in and out. I would advise a quick recon on foot before you go in mostly to confirm a route through the woods. There are a couple of options and it’s helpful to know which one works for you. Our stay was brief but enjoyable. Very quiet and heavily shaded site with options to stay in the field before the woods if desired. The shade was welcomed and cut the heat considerably compared to the field. We would definitely stay again when we are in the area.

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. As a tribute to those early adventurers, we have named our place Camp Shiloh. We honor the past, we respect the wild Florida that surrounds us, and we celebrate the future as we watch rocket launches from our porch. You are welcome to stay on the property while you explore the local communities of New Smyrna and Titusville, relax at beautiful Canaveral National Seashore, attend races in Daytona, visit amusement parks in Orlando... or whatever! There are plenty of Lakes Springs and of course the Beaches just 40 min away. Ocala National Forest is 30 min drive. Disney Land and Orlando is also a short commute of 40 minutes. We've worked hard to make it a cozy retreat - like setting where people can spend a few nights in an affordable manner just 5 minutes from the beaches and fun New Smyrna Beach attractions. Biking, boating, sunning, fishing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, eating... all within a few minutes of your quiet retreat. Our house is on the property but it's 200 feet away behind trees/bushes. It's a 100 year old house built from the wood of a church in NSB. Lifted up on a Coquina rock wall it is quite unique. There is a large secluded area where your dogs can be run. We have dogs too but there's plenty of room to share.

Grocery store and restaurants nearby. 1 mi from the highway. 15min to Flagler Beach (top surf place in Florida!). A lot of stuff to do around - fishing, canoeing and swimming( ocean is10-15 minutes drive), natural preserves, parks and historic places. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground (5min walk). Daytona Beach and historic St.Augustine( 20-30 min drive). A little over an hour to Orlando, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. We have a water and electricity hook ups. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal. There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking, no loud parties. No slipping in tents allowed.
