Really enjoyed this spot. We were passing through for a few days and needed to be in between friends that were located in PCB and apalachicola. It’s walking distance from public beach, great food/ Dollar General/Ace Hardware near by and very quiet at night. I mirror what others have said about unevenness of Pad and sewer hookups being a bit high. Probably only challenging for those of us with smaller travel trailers. Having two water supply hookups, 50,30,20 amp electrical hookups and this awesome shed with RV accessories extras, a washing machine, chairs, table, hoses, etc. makes up for any of the small site inconveniences. Can’t wait to stay here in the spring/summer so we can really enjoy the area. We recommend this spot and the host was great, instructions were great and communication was timely. Thanks for a great stay!

We had the best time camping on Laura’s site. The location couldn’t be better. Less than a 5 minute bike ride to the beach and walking distance to multiple restaurants and stores. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub several evenings when the temps dropped into the 40’s & 50’s! I hope we can grab this same site for our trip next year!!!

Leila’s spot was great. We loved that it was only a block from the beach. The shed storage and laundry machine was helpful- especially because of the humidity and moisture over night. It was hard to get clothing dry without a dryer. (We used a laundromat in town) The black tank hook up was not threaded to secure a connection but it still worked. Red tide was high while we were there. Overall it was a beautiful spot just steps away from a beautiful dog friendly beach. We loved the location and so did our pets. Would recommend!

This was the best campsite that I've ever been to. The campground is beautiful and secluded. The interior of the tent is super cozy, I slept better there than in my own bed at home! The owners put so much thought and consideration into amenities that make the stay so much nicer. The kitchenette is a super nice addition, with multiple cooking utensils for use with the charcoal grill. Not to mention the owners themselves were super kind and accommodating. We loved the private site, right on the water! The empty lots on either side provided real privacy. The amenities provided were very much appreciated, especially the outdoor shower, which help limit the amount of sand we and our pup brought into our motorhome. We had the beautiful beach practically to ourselves over our entire three nights. We will definitely be back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Escape to the Cape RV! It is a beautiful site within feet of the gulf with water views from every window. The pet-friendly beach made it nice to enjoy the sunny days with our dog. It’s only a mile from the general store and 15-20 minutes from restaurants in Port St Joe. We will definitely be back!

We have been all over the country in our motorhome and stayed in many wonderful places. However, nothing truly compares to parking just a few feet from the water, with 100 yards of pristine beach to yourself! This was our second stay at Escape to the Cape, and it will not be our last. A truly breathtaking location! If you have a class A, bring extensions for your electric and sewer and park facing the water. The view out the windshield is magnificent!

From your campsite, you’ll see our primary “Jungalow” on the property, but no other homes are visible from the camping spot. We’re just half a mile from the beach, yet at night you’ll fall asleep to the sounds of crickets and in the morning wake to birdsong—and you may even hear the waves. Feel free to call or message me if you’d like a video tour of the property. While large rigs can fit, our preference is for those under 30 feet. We offer 30AMP hookups, water, and septic for dumping both grey and black tanks. 50AMP rigs are no problem if you have a converter.

It's run by me, my wife, my son, and our new little puppy Ollie (he's the most important.) There's a grocery store nearby, and all RV types up to 45ft are welcome here, with 20, 30, and 50 amp hookups available. Water, sewer, trash, electric, and wifi are all included at no additional charge. Doordash is available, and Hungry Howies Pizza also delivers to us if you're not feeling like cooking. Every site has a picnic table and fire pit, and Firewood, Propane, and Laundry facilities are also available on-site for you to purchase or pay for as well. We do NOT have public restrooms. Primitive camping and popups with no restrooms are currently not allowed. Weekly and Monthly discount rates are also available if you go directly to my website and book there. The discount is applied automatically at checkout. When booking your site, please be aware that the site numbers on Hipcamp may not be accurate to the sites you'll be using in the park. All sites offer the same amenities, and I try to put everyone in a site that works best for their needs and RV size.
