Weekend Trip to Huck and Buck Farm Sanctuary

I had a wonderful time on the Huck and Buch campground. Andrea was a wonderful host helping me set up my tent. I had a space that accommodated six people comfortably. The bathroom with the shower was very pretty, it had everything you needed if you didn't have it. It was big enough to accommodate washing up a few children at one time. The hold experience of my site and seeing the animals was very inviting. I would definitely book another trip.

It was beautiful! Tom was so helpful and supportive in finding everything we needed and personally showing us the campsite with the wagons to bring our stuff down. He clearly loves his land and animals and told us all about them. I love the three ducks that waddle around! We had a wonderful, relaxing time; exactly what we were looking for. The space was beautiful and right up against a big park. The fireflies were amazing. Thanks Tom!

Weekend Trip to Maple Grove Farms

What a nice place to camp. The lighting, trash can and porta potty was so convenient. The site is huge and very well kept. Lots of little extras like a nice long dog leash and extra fishing rods and fire wood was so nice. We had a much needed private relaxing weekend. Next time we will stay longer. The fishing was awesome as well😁 Thank you for sharing your paradise!

Weekend Trip to Scenic Turtle Ridge

My son and I camped at Site 3, which had plenty of space for his four-person tent and had trees spaced perfectly for my hammock tent. The ground slopes a bit, but not enough to cause a problem for him. There's a large fire ring, which we didn't use because it rained most of the full day we were there. Tom is a gracious, thoughtful host. There's good well water from a spigot under the deck, and a real powder room with organic bug spray provided in case you forgot to bring some. Other families were camping the same weekend, but we hardly heard them. The geese and rooster, on the other hand, made their presence known! Wear earplugs to bed if you don't like waking up at 4:30 AM. :D

This was such a nice relaxing experience. The host was so nice and welcoming. The bath house was so very nice and clean. She took us on a nice tour, and we were able to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. I was also able to buy some fresh meats. I would tell anyone that they ought to visit.

Nice place with woods and short walk to nearby county park and a lovely 2m loop. The bathroom was clean. Site 4 has 2 spots that are reasonably flat for a tent.

1 night at Creekside at Crystal Lake

Excellent quiet spot to camp! the field was freshly mowed and scenic with views of the trees on the property. the outhouse was cute on the outside and clean on the inside. There was a fireplace (wood for purchase) and a picnic table that rounded out the site nicely

This is my 6th time going to Great Times. Booked this site when a different camp ground fell through for my spring camp out. I booked 3 weeks notice and Will was hospitable as always!

Weekend Trip to Scenic Turtle Ridge

Had a great stay on Tom's farm! He has 4 campsites set up, all within a couple minutes' walk from the main farmhouse (where the bathrooms and parking are). The sites are incredibly spacious, ours had great privacy as well, and the wagons he provides make it no big deal to haul stuff from the car to the site. He also had an enormous pile of fallen wood for making fires, as well as sizable piles of splits (15-18 logs) that he chopped available for sale for $10 each. The farm also connects to a park with lots of nice hiking trails, highly recommend heading to the lake + dam. All this less than an hour from Center City, but you'd never know it, as it really does serve as a peaceful escape from city life.

1 night at Creekside at Crystal Lake

Beautiful plus green grass and tall beautiful trees singing while swaying to the wind. Very convenient, safe. welcoming. We left for the day and came back to a nice table and chairs set beside our tent. ⛺️ As well Ben offered a fire ring if we’d like. Plenty of room for our dogs to run and play freely.

1 night at Pine Creek

BEST Hipcamp in NJ! Honestly one of the best camping sites I’ve ever stayed at, private or public. This land is beautifully kept. The pond is huge and the creek behind site two is one of the prettiest I’ve seen. The property & site are easy to find. The area is very private & the hosts respect your privacy but respond fast. There is cell service which was a bonus for me while camping alone. There was a picnic table, fire ring with cooking griddle, porta potty, tree swing, pond dock & huge canoe provided. Felt remote once on site but there is a wawa fifteen minutes away need be :) 10/10 a perfect time!

Weekend Trip to Maple Grove Farms

My friends and I had a wonderful stay! There were no events at the Raceway (you can check their website for the calendar) so noise wasn't an issue. There were many beautiful birds on the lake, and the whole property is really well-maintained. The cows were also really sweet and curious, we loved them. The toilet is conveniently right on the site and was reasonably clean. It was a little tricky to get a fire going since the firewood was damp from the previous days' rain, but it worked out! The solar powered lights helped a lot once it got dark out. Faith was very responsive to questions and was overall a great host!

Great times! Beautiful spot, love having the place to ourselves to let the kids and dog run around. Just a note that there is a walk from the parking area to where you'll set up your tent - it's flat, and they leave a big cart to help you move stuff.

Weekend Trip to Maple Grove Farms

Raceway Retreat is a lovely camping spot. Its beautifully maintained with landscaping and solar-power lights. There are lots of comfortable and clean chairs around the stone firepit and mulch clearings in cooking and tent areas. The private pond is a beautiful spot for fishing and evening walks. The owners were very communicative and pleasant and the cows in the pasture were adorably playful! They even curiously followed after my kids as they were walking along the fence. The only downside was the noise from the nearby racetrack. It is very closeby and we camped on what was unfortunetly a late racing night. I can imagine that in an RV it wouldn't be an issue, but if you are tent camping (especially with early bedtimes) I would reccomend checking the race schedule first to make sure there aren't night races. Besides that it was absolutly perfect!

I felt like I was in the wilderness. The feel I was going for. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I stayed at site four and I actually forgot I was only 54minutes away from home. Tom was so nice and respectful. He walked me to my site and we had a great conversation. I ate eggs form the chicken on the farm. That was different for me. It is plenty of wood for a fire. I can’t wait to come back.

Turtle Ridge farm is 35 acres of scenic beauty in historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. Secluded and private. Hiking and fishing available. Turtle Ridge Farms borders the Brandywine River and about 1,000 acres of woodland park. We try to be a unique host farm experience. We will have contactless check in available upon arrival. Campers will fill out the registration form on the front porch and then go to their site. A note about fishing. Fishing is available in the Brandywine River behind our farm, in Hibernia Park, at Springton Manor catch and release pond, and also at Chambers Lake in the park. 35-acre bucolic farm with goats, sheep, chickens and geese. Sites are near our one acre pond and each site has a fire pit. Our farm borders the 1,000-acre Hibernia Park with its historic mansion, extensive woodlands, hiking trails and along the beautiful Brandywine river. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail. There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located 5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. Hopewell Furnace, St. Peter's village, Daniel Boone homestead, Historic Springton Manor, Marsh Creek Park and lake are all nearby.
