No tent? No problem! With backpack gear in my storage unit I got a $7 tarp and parachord and built a sweet lean-to shelter in Connecticut gaining badass girl points with trail mates. Awesome circuit hike with both water and nearby Appalachian trail access. 

The brook runs through the grounds and can be explored via a trail that follows and then diverges from the main road that runs the length of the park.

The circuit hike here is home to a fabulous collection of natural hiking sticks... the ground is covered with them and many are left near the trailhead which makes for a fun addition to any hike. 

Great views after a short vertical and an awesome spot to hang with friends.. and photo bombers! haha

Mickelberry Forest Gardens

The meadow we occupy was once the farmers property that  I grew up next to at my parents farm house.
 When he wanted to sell his property he offered it to us for purchase at a fair price if we would not develop more than we needed to live here.
 We maintained the meadow adjacent to our property and have kept it as an agricultural site.
 We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.
 It is expensive to live in Newtown but we love our property.
 We want to teach others to grow food from their land while helping to support us keeping our adjacent property agricultural and undeveloped.
 Our property has provided many happy gatherings and events and we love to share it with others.

3 sites.:  Robin's Hood, Lola's Loop, The Rocks.  All wooded and natural.  short walk to town for restaurants or supplies. Woodpeckers, deer, rabbits .opossums, racoons live there too. Plenty of kindling to pick uo on grounds.  Bring camper Loo or shovel. Labyrinth on premesis.

Robin's Hood is an open spacious site.  It has a table, kindling to pick up, raised copper campfire, walnut trees, and a grassy slope where deer frolic by a dry streambed.  Park at the site which is down a gravel driveway.  

Lola’s Loop site is private, less open, enclosed in a natural habitat accessible by short path.  Metal campfire holder.  No toilet or furniture.

The Rocks is shady, lots of wood to burn, firepit, next to a lawn and a natural habitat for animals.  Drive to site.

Close to: Appalachian Trail, Long Path, Woodbury Common.  West Point ,  Storm King Art Center, Hudson River, Mineral Springs.

Dominion House Farm and Trails

This historic renovated Hudson Valley ranch offers four sites convenient from Interstate 84, the NYS Thruway Interstate 87, and Route 17/Interstate 86.

Site 1 is a leveled stone pad easily accessible from the paved driveway, in front of two rustic barns where campers enjoy 30 amp electric service and a picnic table.  Sites 2, 3 and 4 are in a private field (w/o service) each including a picnic table and fire ring. 

There are 40 acres including walking trails, and miles of adjacent rail trails for hiking/mountain biking from your site.

Visit Brotherhood winery/restaurant, local breweries, Storm King Art Center, Washington's Headquarters, West Point, Motorcyclepedia museum, Lego Land, Woodbury Commons Premium Outlets and more.

Hello and welcome we offer a private camping area that’s heavily wooded with some fields small pond lots of wildlife you can explore the property and enjoy good times and make memories we offer horse back lessons and we also do trail rides. No power no water yet whatever you bring in you must bring out. We do have a spot to fill up your water tanks.  If you have any questions feel free to ask. And please let us know the time of your arrival at least a day ahead or the day of so we can be here to bring you to the campsites.

As I look back on the past three years since opening the campground, I’m filled with gratitude. What started as a dream has turned into something so much more thanks to each and every one of you who has stayed here, shared your stories, and brought your energy to this little piece of the outdoors.

I’ve had the joy of meeting people from all walks of life travelers passing through, families on vacation, solo adventurers chasing peace, and seasoned RVers with tales from the road. Whether you’re here for one night or one season, getting to know where you’re from, where you’re going, and the stories in between has been the most rewarding part of running this campground.
It’s not just about providing a place to park or pitch a tent it’s about building a community, even if it’s just for a weekend. The laughs around the fire, the kindness between strangers, and the shared love of the outdoors have made this journey incredibly special.

Pitch your tent and pick our apples by the pond on Westchester’s oldest working farm. You’ll enjoy complete privacy and quiet. 

The Hawkey family has worked Sundial Farm for nearly half a century, from indoor plants to perennials to dressage school, to organic veggies, selling antiques, hosting a local CSA and farm stand, and most recently native plant landscaping with PlanIt Wild.

Sundial Farm can also be seen in many Hollywood productions, such as Blackkklansmen, The Hunters, and American Gangster.

*You may come across reviews talking about the farm stand and animals. Sadly those are no longer here, so stock up on goodies before you arrive.

Skyline RV Camp is more than just a place to park; it’s a gateway to the heart of the city.

Convenient access to public transportation makes it easy to explore the vibrant neighborhoods, world-class dining, and cultural attractions that make New York City one of a kind.

The campground is located at 50 Noble Street in trendy yet relaxed Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

The lot is private property and is monitored by the 24/7 security in the adjacent building. 

The subway is 4 blocks away (G Train, Greenpoint Ave stop), which will take you to the city in under 30 minutes.

The Greenpoint Ferry stop is a few blocks away, which will take you to midtown Manhattan in no time!

Please note that you might benefit from using a trucker app called "Trucker Path" while getting here, since in some areas of Brooklyn, you can't drive an RV.

Use of house back patio with Adirondack Chairs for morning coffee sunrises or sunset cocktails. 

The main 3 spots are located in a 40ft driveway.  The 4th spot next to the house is perfect for Vans.

Peconic River Campgrounds

Grassy field. Natural woods. River accessible.

We are located 30 minutes from Long Island, NY.

Feel free to pitch your tent anywhere you like on the property. Choose the grassy meadow or the natural woods filled with trees. Have a campfire and enjoy nature. Bring fishing gear and cast away. Go for a relaxing walk on the 2,000 feet of walkable dikes right on the river. Bring your canoe or kayak and feel free to launch it right on site.

Welcome to Hartwoods, where tranquility meets wilderness in the heart of North Guilford, Connecticut. Nestled amidst a serene wooded landscape, our property offers a unique and private getaway for those seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
For RV enthusiasts, we provide a convenient hookup for electricity and water, allowing you to enjoy modern comforts while surrounded by nature's beauty. While sewage facilities are not available on-site, our serene setting more than makes up for it.
In addition to RV accommodations, there is a yurt and separate bathhouse on the property.  The yurt is available to rent on Airbnb under Hartwoods Yurt, providing a cozy and secluded retreat for those seeking a more traditional glamping experience.  
Nature lovers will delight in the abundance of outdoor activities available right on our doorstep. Explore miles of scenic trails for hiking and mountain biking in the nearby Genesee Trails, or take a leisurely stroll along the tranquil brook that meanders through our property.
Despite our secluded location, we're conveniently close to downtown shoreline areas, allowing you to easily explore the charming shops, restaurants, and attractions of the region.
There are signs at both entrances to the site; one is a blue sign with white lettering in a tree on the left side of the road (going north) and one is a brown sign with  "Hartwoods" with reflectors on a tree (also on left side of the road going north).  There is also a sign at the actual site.  
Whether you're seeking adventure in the great outdoors or simply looking to unwind in a peaceful wooded environment, Hartwoods offers the perfect escape. Come and experience the beauty and serenity of our wilderness retreat in North Guilford, CT. We look forward to welcoming you.
There is a cement block fire pit with grill available for outdoor cooking and enjoyment.  Please be responsible and use proper fire extinguishing techniques, utilizing the provided water hose.  Firewood is BYO.  Any smoking paraphernalia must be disposed of in a responsible manner, as should be all trash.
There are no bathroom facilities available.  Please be aware that you will have to be self-contained, either in your RV or with a camp toilet.  Thank you!

A Farm for All!

Our home is an 18th Century Farm Getaway.  A beautiful one and a half hour drive from the heart of New York City to Harlem Valley.  Our home is the nucleus of a flourishing medicinal herb farm.  On our land we cultivate herbs to make our salve, tea, tincture and tonics.  We also grow microgreens and wild mushrooms.  This is made possible with the support of visitors like you who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get involved to share and build community with us.

The land is surrounded by edible herbal plants.  Enjoy an herb walk and harvest with one of our farmers.  Join us for camping with a campfire, hiking, long walks and a private swim.  The land is conveniently attached to the Appalachian Trail and sits on over 40 acres of preserved woodland forest to explore.  The land also features a rustic outdoor shower next to the barn and access to fresh mountain waterThe main home has two plots for our communal kitchen garden, natural fountain pond of fresh watercress and creeks surrounding the home and property. Peaceful sounds of water and wildlife embrace you in the morning.  Fireflies that melt into glistening stars and bright moonlight energize you by night.

Our very modest toilet set up at this location, we are aiming to have this outhouse be like the one at our other site, but it is clean and accommodating for camping.

The Farnch: A developing Destination Farm   

Come have a picnic under a tree, spend a few hours and go for a hike in Hudson Highland Gateway Park, a Historic 352-acre park offering hiking, birding, cross-country skiing, fishing & snowshoeing. He have rods and tackle to rent or buy if you don’t have your own. 

If you’re having a really great time and the kids just don’t want to leave, join us for an evening of sleeping under the stars in the forest at one of our campsites. We also host local Scout Groups, and Appellation Trail hikers. Hikers know that we are located about 1 miles south of the route 9 trail crossing at the Appalachian Market and offer pick up and drop off service from there on weekends. Hudson Valley is a wonderful 4 season go to location and being about an hour away from New York City you won’t spend hours in the car before being able to stretch your legs.
