Welcome to our property! This is a very scenic property, that is rich with history. The Virginia Dale Stage Station is about three miles away and the overland trail has several branches going through here. We are also a fifth generation cattle ranch. We are in Wyoming, on Highway 287 between Fort Collins, CO. and Laramie, Wyoming. We are still building out our property with a General store, and Western Themed Town coming soon. We have campsites for RV’s or Tents. We have an amazing 1000 acres to have your own hiking, wildlife, birdwatching, adventure. We have great hiking and wildlife viewing, marmots, pronghorn, antelope, deer, elk, and an occasional moose. Birds of every feather gather here so bring your binoculars. Hikes include balancing boulders and rock formations. Wonderful stargazing, our stars are so bright it seems like you can reach up and touch them. We are a working ranch and do have livestock. Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. We have portable outhouses available.

The best and closest restaurant and bar is the Roadhouse Bar and Grill which is a 1/2 mile away, you can enjoy good food without going all the way into town. They have the best Country fried chicken and steak on Friday and crab legs on Saturday! If you are down to earth and just want to have a good time you'll love this place!!

We are making this campground more for families and family reunions, or friends that want to be together yet have your own space. It’s high with trees and rocks, beautiful views and amazing starry nights. Camp sites 1 2 3 4 are fairly close together for a family or to circle the wagons. Very nice close hike to a creek. Camp site's 5 and 6 are secluded. They would be best for someone who is self contained, as they don’t have an outhouse nearby. Sites 7 8 9 have some seclusion. Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. More than 2 vehicles per site $10.00 per vehicle per night. A vehicle pulling a trailer counts as 1. A motor home pulling a car or trailer counts as 1. We look forward to hosting you!

Welcome to Camp Rendezvouz! We are in Wyoming, on Highway 287 between Fort Collins, CO. and Laramie, WY. When you book, make sure you are committed as we have a strict cancellation policy. We are making this campground more for families and family reunions, or friends that want to be together yet have your own space. It’s high with trees and rocks, beautiful views and amazing starry nights. Camp sites 1 2 3 4 are fairly close together for a family or to circle the wagons. Very nice close hike to a creek. Camp site's 5 and 6 are secluded. They would be best for someone who is self contained, as they don’t have an outhouse nearby. Sites 7 8 9 have some seclusion. Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. More than 2 vehicles per site $10.00 per vehicle per night. A vehicle pulling a trailer counts as 1. A motor home pulling a car or trailer counts as 1. We look forward to hosting you!

We booked through HipCamp last minute and I am glad they were still able to accommodate us. The drive to the ranch was just beautiful! You’ll pass by a couple of ski resorts and beautiful small towns that are worthy of visiting!
The ranch it self was surrounded by water, we booked Camp 24 and it was just perfect for me and my boyfriend and his Sprinter Van. It was also in front of the lake/river so that was a great plus!
We didn’t book any rooms so my 5 star rating is for the toilet that was well maintained and cleaned.
We arrived after 5pm so there was no one to check us in but we really appreciate the welcome map addressed to me that led us to our campsite. Another 5 star.
And lastly, the ranch is just perfect for first timers like us as it was very accessible. There’s a small town 25mins away that has a City Market and pretty much everything you’ll need. We bought 2 bags of wood but that was definitely not enough. Luckily there were a lot of old woods on the ground that we were able to use.
We also tried to fish but no luck on that. Overall, the experience was amazing and I can’t wait to go back with our friends there.

I drove out to Colorado all the way from Connecticut to go camping at Arapaho Valley Ranch. Everything about the experience was amazing. Very peaceful, beautiful views and a great staff. Will definitely be camping there again in the future.

We ended up staying at site 4 after the owner's recommendation and it was a nice big site with a firepit, a great view of the mountains, and lots of rocks/boulders for kids to explore. We did hear and could see the highway but we weren't right on top of it - need to go to sites 6 and on to avoid it. Had one issue with dogs barking at night that the owner replied to and is working on it. No picnic table but we always bring a portable one so there was no issue for us. The site fit a 16' camper as well as a camper van still with plenty of room for privacy for each camper. Would stay again.

I would absolutely recommend this place to those looking for a relaxing getaway. Owners were accommodating as well. Thank you for a great stay. Our 2 year also made new dog friends. This was truly an unbeatable campground for a large group! Beautiful scenery, spacious and private, lots of room for kids to explore and roam. We will absolutely be back.
My only complaint is that the two dogs that live on the property (which were super friendly and the kids loved playing with) stole every piece of food from the picnic tables the moment we turned our backs, and more problematic was they came through at night and took every shoe and glove they could find around the tent sites and destroyed 5 or 6 pairs.

We loved tent-camping at this site. Our dogs especially loved exploring and meeting one of the friendly guardian dogs on property. Lots of cool rock formations. The cleanest portapotty I've ever been in was a quick walk up the road. A little more road noise from 287 than one would like when "getting away from it all," but nothing too bad and makes for an easy 2hr trip from Denver!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Arapahoe Valley. The facilities were top-notch—having a well-stocked shop on-site and clean, heated bathrooms made everything so convenient. The landscape is truly unmatched, and arriving to find coolers, camp grills/stoves, bedding, and other essentials already set up was a huge plus. The other guests were friendly and welcoming, which added to the great atmosphere.
Our four-year-old was in heaven—he fell in love with the outdoors here. It was such a special experience for our whole family, and hopefullly we'll get to come back some day... we live in Georgia!

Where to go
Rivers and Forests
Head south to experience the Cache La Poudre River, a designated Wild and Scenic River. You can camp alongside the river as it winds its way through the Comanche Peak Wilderness and the Cache la Poudre Wilderness. Elsewhere in the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, find more than 50 developed campgrounds, including more than 20 in the nearby Canyon Lakes Ranger District, and plenty of dispersed camping options across 1.5 millions acres of forest and wilderness.
Foothills and Plains
For craft beers and nightlife, head east to the college town of Fort Collins. Just outside of Fort Collins, camp lakeside at Horsetooth Reservoir or find a backcountry spot at Lory State Park or the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space. Further south, Carter Lake outside of Loveland offers several developed campgrounds with easy lake access. To explore a unique ecosystem, head further east to the Pawnee National Grasslands, where a seasonal campground, unlimited dispersed camping, and plentiful wildlife await.
North Park
Head to the moose viewing capital of Colorado with a trip west to the North Park region. Enjoy small town life in Walden, Gould, and Cowdrey, or explore the abundant public lands surrounding, including the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge and the vast peaks and alpine lakes of State Forest State Park. Camping options span developed campgrounds, backcountry camping, and a network of year-round cabins, yurts, and huts. Or go off-roading in the dunes of the North Sand Hills Recreation Area, where campers can take advantage of dispersed camping and campsites for large RVs.
Wyoming
With the Wyoming border less than an hour north, the Equality State makes for an easy getaway from Red Feather Lakes. Explore western history and cowboy culture at Laramie and Cheyenne. For outdoor adventures, explore the foothills of the Laramie Mountains at Curt Gowdy State Park, home to several reservoirs, water activities, and year-round camping. Or take advantage of dozens of developed campgrounds, plenty of dispersed camping, and millions of acres of wilderness at Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest.
When to go
For the warmest weather, visit Red Feather Lakes in summer, though be aware of afternoon storms, common in the summer and spring. Although Red Feather Lakes doesn’t usually get too crowded, public campgrounds can book up in summer, especially on weekends, when it pays to plan ahead. Fall colors are worth seeking out. Visit in winter to go ice fishing.
Know before you go
- Red Feather Lakes is above 8,000 feet, and some recreation areas and campsites are at even higher elevation. Be aware of potential altitude issues.
- Campsites in Colorado state parks require advanced reservations.
- Fishing licenses are required in Colorado for anyone over age 16 and in Wyoming for anyone over 14. Sections of the Cache La Poudre River are designated Wild Trout Waters with fishing restrictions in place.
- Be bear aware, especially when camping. Store food and other attractants in a bear proof container, away from your tent.
- Several State Wilderness Areas surround the town. An SWA pass, or hunting or fishing license is required for anyone 16 or older for access.
