It feels like you are on an island in the sky. It’s conveniently close to lakes, hiking, outdoor activities and supplies, restaurants and gas stations. Several roundabouts exist for turning around large vehicles. RV sites are pull through. For digital Nomads, Cell phone and satellite service is good here. ATV's are welcome on designated roads and trails. Fires are allowed. But PLEASE check https://www.pueblo.us/2602/Fire-Restrictions. Fires must be in campfire circles only! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU FULLY DROWN YOUR CAMPFIRE BEFORE YOU LEAVE. Dead wood on the property is OK to burn but please do not burn your trash. All trash and waste needs to be packed out. There are trash cans and restrooms at the rest stop at I-25 and Highway 165. Firewood is available to purchase nearby in Colorado City at Ace Hardware and others. You will have your choice of Camp site #1 and/or #2. They have flat mulched areas for an RV/Camper or for tent camping. Each has a fire ring and picnic table. Both sites allow room to turn around an RV or camper. Bring your own toilet for now. There is minimal shade available, so plan accordingly. Potable water is available at the blue ground hydrant in front of the little cabin to the west. It takes about 10 seconds to start running. Use of firearms is prohibited. No fireworks are allowed. Quiet time is after 10:00 p.m. Please be respectful of neighboring properties. remember you are on a hilltop so sound can travel :)

It's a nice quiet spot off the beaten path. Dan is a great host. This isn't an RV park with full hook-ups or anything. But there's a nice view of the surrounding hills and a cattle pen with cows and some chickens. A great place to park and take a break for a night or two.

Great little spot to camp for a bit. Dan is a great guy and was very helpful to me when I had some issues with my rv. Dan went put of his way to be helpful and offer options for me to get my rig fixed. I will definitely return. The view is great. Spots are near the road, but it is quiet and lots of animals to keep you company and views to calm you.

This property is a beautiful hidden gem with amazing night guys, absolute solitude and responsive host. The cabin was larger than I expected with 2 beds in the loft, 2 beds on the main floor and a couch in the living room next to the wood stove. The wood stove heats up fast and provides house of heat without needing to reload and the propane burners for Coleman stove are perfect for cooking. Just bring some battery powered string lights for lighting at night and a headlamp. There are good hiking options on the property and the adjacent BLM lands.

There were several camping spots to choose from, we went for the one by the campfire circle and stones as the view was stunning. Directions were spot on. This site was awesome! Beautiful view and location. Great sized fire pits and was the perfect place to camp with a group of friends and have our cars nearby. Nothing to worry about at all. The hosts were so nice and friendly and brought us over giant containers of water. Absolutely would recommend and will be coming back!!

I’ve done plenty of Hipcamps and this one is definitely one of the very best! The sites are EXTREMELY well taken care of! Even though we’re outside, there wasn’t many insects to bother us. Paula and Randy are amazing and communication was very comforting! The view was exceptional and cannot recommend this spot enough!

This is when I wish I was a better writer. Haven Hill was brilliant. Quiet, AMAZING VIEWS, pretty easy to find, the hosts were very quick to respond to questions. The spot had a little table and a great fire pit area. You can drive into town for anything you need which is like 5-10 min away. I swung by Three Sisters to grab some dinner before I headed back to enjoy a quiet bonfire staring at a sky filled to the brim with stars. I counted 3 shooting stars before I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore. Highly recommend this spot and can’t wait to come back this summer.
