Had a great experience here, highly recommend! Very pretty views, we saw lots of wildlife- turkeys daily, and deer and elk. Listening to the elk bugle was fabulous! The stars at night were awesome. Debbie was so nice and helpful, gave lots of info for the area, too. We caught La Veta during their Oktoberfest (always the first Saturday of Oct) and had so much fun- dogs welcome! Quiet convenient spot for the area. Walked the dog around the property and on the road. This was a perfect spot for us- felt like we were home (except it was thousands of feet higher in elevation and had ELK!) hookups worked great too. Thanks Debbie for letting us try your place, it was perfect for us!

This was a peaceful and beautiful camp site. Full hook ups were wonderful to have. I can't express how much help and kindness we received from the host!! She was wonderful to work with and the communication was immediate. We definitely will jeep it in mind for another trip. 😊

This site was really nice place. About a mile off the main road and so private. The site had all the essentials and it was easy to pull into. We had great views to the east and the west. I would highly recommend it. Scott from Austin.

Great dry camping spot in an area with few options for dry camping. Ryan and Debbie were very communicative and their place was easy to find. Great views of elk grazing across the street. The nearby town of La Veta is very cute and welcoming and it was nice to get tips about the area from the hosts. Quiet. Safe. Friendly. Respectful. Great stop.

Beautiful land. The hosts were very responsive. 5 minutes away from Lathrop State Park. Full hookups were great we had no problem getting our 38ft Fifth wheel in and out and the site was very level. We will definitely be booking this campsite again.

The spectacular scenery. A very peaceful spot, I had some nice visits with a small doe in the area. Very close to a lot of historical/famous sites that can easily be enjoyed on foot or in a vehicle. Has water, electric and “sewage” hook-up available and easy to use.

We loved staying on Ryan's property. It was beautiful and very convenient to town and other amenities, while being private. We very much appreciated the full hook-ups. We didn't have any problems driving our Tundra and 26' long trailer onto the property. We happened to be staying there at a time when Ryan and his family were staying in their cabin, and we couldn't have asked for friendlier, more accommodating hosts. They gave us excellent recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed. They showed my husband around the property and even let us know when the amazing wildlife was around for a visit. We also met one of their neighbors who was also super friendly! Overall, it was an excellent stay and we hope to come back again soon.

We booked with Ryan at the last minute after a mishap with someone else's site. Ryan was quick to answer and very accommodating, which enabled us to get back to camping and relaxing. His property was beautiful and easy to get to. We were grateful to find it and and would stay there again. Thanks Ryan!
