The Last Resort on the River

The Last Resort on the River is a small and quiet RV park on the Blanco River off Highway 84 between Chama, New Mexico and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We have 23 full hook-up sites, 6 partial riverside sites for smaller units with electric and water only, and tent sites that sit on the river. Our end goal is to have cabins but they are not a reality yet. Firewood is available for purchase as are shower tokens for showers. The bathhouse has separate men’s and women’s showers/restrooms along with a washer and dryer.

The property basks in the sun of the Pyramids—a poetic way of saying it sits beneath Broken Off Point. It’s close to the wilds, as well as to the hot springs and the quaint town of Pagosa Springs. 

Biking can start right from Qi Camps. Hot springs—both primitive and commercial—are located east and west of Qi Camps, about 5–10 miles away.

The new owners are outdoor enthusiasts who met while both living in Colorado when Jeremy was a raft guide on the Arkansas River. The sky's the limit when it comes to Outdoor Activities in South Fork Colorado. The town of South Fork is surrounded on three sides by the Rio Grande National Forest and some of the largest undisturbed wilderness areas in the country. The outdoor activities are countless.

Nearby, the Rio Grande River and the South Fork River provide excellent trout fishing. In addition, there are many local lakes and reservoirs. If you prefer biking, hiking, or ATV riding there are many old logging and mining trails close by for breath taking views of nature’s finest. Aspen Ridge Cabins is located on the city's OHV trail, so you can ride right from the property without trailering.

-When the day is done and you're ready to put your feet up and rest awhile, we offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy an evening outdoors. We feature an outdoor area that allows for get-togethers and picnics, as well as open fires that capture the wild spirit and beauty of the outdoors.
Hunters and anglers have a walk in freezer/cooler for their harvests. There's also bagged ice for sale on site. Enjoy a walk to town on paved sidewalks, or kick back and cook steaks on the grill.

Chinook Cabins & RV Park

Our RV Park in South Fork CO has space for 18 R.V.’s. Each site has full hookups with the majority being 50amp service and are oversized so that they can handle any big rig! There is a shower house and laundry facility available for our guests (seasonal). There is more than ample parking and each site is easy to access.

Our sites are back off the highway for a more relaxing atmosphere and the view is amazing. We have a community fire pit of which we can roast hot dogs, marshmallows for s’mores and tell all the stories you would like. “What goes on at the Fire Pit stays at the Fire Pit.”

South Fork Colorado has all the family fun and challenging terrain you could ever look for.  1000’s of miles of trails to hike and bike.  Snowmobile/ATV/UTV and Motorcycle riding multi-use Rio Grande National Forest Service trails and roads. We welcome you with  plenty of parking area on site for your trailers to park.

The Rio Grande River offers world class fly fishing. There are plenty of lakes and creeks to enjoy also.

Wolf Creek Ski Area is just up the road from South Fork, Colorado for all your winter fun downhill skiing and snowboarding. Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing are fun low cost family activities with plenty of terrain to enjoy.

Great Sand Dunes National Park is open all year long and is a day trip from South Fork.  Enjoy the Sand Dunes National Park, learn how they were formed, hike a dune and try sand boarding. Zapata Falls is a short hike near the Sand Dunes.

South Fork Colorado has several other waterfalls nearby to visit, Treasure Falls and South & North Clear Creek falls.

Learn more about this land:While Camping on our site you will enjoy the privacy of being one of the last property's on the road with little to no traffic whatsoever.  Surrounded by Huge Ponderosa Pines and National Forest you will enjoy the serene peace that comes from being tucked away behind a mountain side.  Just 30 minutes from town where you can dine and visit the famous Hot Springs.  With the national forest so close by you will  have many opportunities as far as hiking trails and mountain biking.  There is also fishing nearby on ECHO Lake as well as the San Juan river where you can park downtown Pagosa Springs and fish there.    In the Winter you are only about 45 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area. &nbsp;There is no service or wifi&nbsp;available here so you will be very remote and off the grid.&nbsp;

We have a nice large flat area for you to park your small camper or truck camper  we will be cutting down the tree by the driveway soon.

You can easily pull a trailer onto the property there is not a big drop down where you could potentially bottom out the trailer.  

Walkable downtown Pagosa property

A beautifully tucked away 2 acre property in the town Pagosa Springs. It's a heavily wooded property that's tucked away from traffic.  There are mountain views, short hiking and mountain bike trails from the property, and it's a 1 mile walk to the hot springs and main Street Pagosa Springs. It's close to town, but you would never know it. You can take a short drive to many beautiful natural attractions such as Treasure Falls, the Ice caves, Four Mile Falls and much more.
