The House where we live is the corner stone of the Bruce Property and is on the Colorado Register of Historic Houses.The residence was constructed between 1905 and 1912, using red bricks made on the site. John and Sophia Bruce, early pioneers in the North Fork Valley, were first involved in cattle raising. The family later became successful fruit growers. Located along the West Elk Loop, a Colorado Scenic and Historic Byway, the large two-story residence features a steeply pitched hipped roof with prominent attic dormers.As a guest of Riverwalk you will have full access to the river during your stay. In addition, there is the Riverwalk Trail System that skirts the North Fork of the Gunnison River from the top of the property, by the Riverwalk Yurt, (available on this site) meandering downstream past the Riverwalk TIPI (available on the site) passing the Grove Yurt (available on this site) and terminating at the bottom of the property with the sandy Riverwalk Beach. There is a trial that zigs through the Cottonwood Grove and zags back along the gentle Monitor Ditch skirting a newly planted grove of young trees.For RV Campers we provide 2- 30amp,1-50 amp and 1- 110-amp electrical services and potable water. There is a dump station available. There is also access to our heated shower house with running water and bathroom amenities (<3 min. walk, may be shared with other guests). This is a great spot on the river, near bike paths and downtown. There were beautiful views and great amenities. Honestly, we caught a great rate for a nightly stay. We would have stayed longer, but the weekly rate was a bit spendy.

We were camping with our trailer. Great site, with river access, fire pit, grill, a true restroom and shower (not an outhouse with a bucket), you feel secluded yet you are close to everything Paonia had to offer. Would camp here again the next time we visit the western slope.

We absolutely loved this quirky little campsite! The tent pitch is spacious, private and very peaceful. The shower house is beautifully decorated and very clean. Lovely hot showers. George was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here!

I found this camp at the last minute, while pulled over on the side of the road. It was awesome! The owner came and showed me around and advised me on working the hot shower. There.was a pond, total privacy, with everything I needed. It was lovely and I would definitely recommend staying at CampV!

George has created an amazing location. We loved it so much we booked for 5 days in July 2026 while there. RV site has electric and is very close to a great bathroom with hot shower. Great walk along the river and to BigBs next door for food, beer, wine, cider, ice cream and live music!!!!

1 night at Camp Eddy

Camp Eddy is new, clean, quiet and easy to access. Bring your own rig or rent one of their Airstreams (they have so many different types!) or a charming tiny house. It's right beside the Colorado River. A lovely walking path surrounds the campground and takes you even further if you wish (to the bridge across the river). Several patches of green space (which is nice if you have a dog) - and they also offer a small enclosed Dog Park. There are a variety of sites to choose from as well - with/without hookups, drive-through or back in. The site has new plantings - in a few years it should be lovely when some of the trees start to flourish - and there is no dust (the campground is covered in grey and beige gravel). There are individual restroom/shower rooms (you need a code to access them - and no quarters necessary!) as well as on-site laundry. There is also an area called The Hub - it's indoor/outdoor where you can hang out and look over the River. It's a short drive to downtown and easy access to Colorado National Monument. Just an overall lovely spot. Recommended!
