We own almost an acre of land next to the North Fork of the Big Thompson River in Glen Haven, CO (one of the cutest small towns ever!). Camp right next to the river and feel the peace of the water flowing and the bright stars in the sky. We are located 7 miles from Estes Park and a short 15 minute drive to the east entrances of Rocky Mountain National Park. Crosier Mountain trailhead is right across the street from our land. Walk down and grab the best cinnamon rolls at the Glen Haven General Store. Bring your own tents and sleeping bags for one of the best camping spots in town!

Horse ranch and nature conservation area. We have a pond you can float in and horses and mules who live here, as well as elk and pronghorn, and a bear. Dogs are welcome! We love dogs! Off leash is fine as long as they don’t chase the horses (and keep in mind that the mules do chase dogs). There is a gas firepit and a gas grill, sitting areas, a port a potty. There is a flat graded area for tents with a picnic table. We ask that there are no fires except for gas (we are still traumatized by the East Troublesome Fire that was 200,000 plus acres. We did not burn here and we’d like to keep it that way. We also ask that there is no loud music because this is the wild animals’ home first, and the antelope and elk have new babies. We are very close to Granby for the grocery store, restaurants, and the Granby Flying Heels Rodeo. We are nearby to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, Grand Lake, Hot Sulfur Springs Resort, Lake Granby and Fraser/Winter Park and all that Grand County Colorado has to offer. Also close by is Granby Ranch for downhill mountain biking and golf. We are about two hours from Denver. Right by a river, and a road but it was not noisy for us in a camper van. Porta potty on site. General store down the road but does not open until 9am in September so we didn’t get to go. Scenic drive leading up to the site. We had no cell service so prepare ahead of time!

I loved camping on this site with some friends! We had 10 total people and it was the perfect size for our group. Easy to find and only 15 minutes from Lake Estes. The picnic table, trash receptacle, and port a potty made our load light for our one night of camping. Heidi was responsive and detailed, and has a great spot with the river. As far as noise, we only heard a few cars pass by when in our tents that weren’t a real bother, but the sound of the water was peaceful to fall asleep to. Listen to the cinnamon bun advice! We wanted more than 6 buns so we had to order the day before (definitely do!). We enjoyed being right by town to walk to grab any last minute needs. Next time I would love to dine at the bed & breakfast in town for dinner. Overall, Heidi was a superhost for us!

Absolutely fabulous farm complete with goats, chickens, dog run, fresh eggs, a peach tree and amazing hosts. Not to mention the quiet, serene location perfect to relax and chill from your day to day grind. The farm is stunning and well cared for. The hosts could not have been friendlier and more accommodating to anything we needed. In fact we already booked a 2nd week before leaving our first week.

The overall vibe, bubbling creek and proximity to both Rocky Mtn NP and Estes Park were fantastic. We loved our stay and recommend without hesitation for those with campers, as we had. We had no trouble with noise or traffic over a Fri-Mon stay during the very busy July/Aug season. Loved being able to walk to the General Store and the cinnamon rolls are worth the hype.

We really enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth's Hipcamp. She and Red were very welcoming and Roxie and I had many walks around their property, enjoying seeing the chickens, goats, bees, and water area. The sunrises and sunsets from their property were gorgeous and we even saw a few hot air balloons flying over. I got to watch the Beehive check-in and felt very safe here. They gave us a box of fresh eggs, which were so good, I bought another box. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend to any of our friends.

Elizabeth & Red were extremely welcoming - showing us where to park and hooking our trailer up with electric. My dog and I enjoyed walking around the property and seeing the chickens wandering around. We were invited to watch the bee hive weekly check-in.
Amazing sunrises and sunsets from their property! Plenty places to go for a walk. We even saw a few hot air balloons one morning.
Roxie was intrigued by the goats, as they were with her :) We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Hipcamp. They also have a SniffSpot for your dog if interested. Thank you for the opportunity to stay on your property.

It's a nice location by the river and it's only one site, so you have it all for yourself. The only downside is that it's next to the road, but there doesn't seem to be any traffic at night, so it's pretty quiet and the creek sounds are great.
There's no restroom option at the campsite, but there's porta potties 300 feet down the road next to the general store. That general store also serves coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning.

We loved staying on Elizabeth’s property! It was so cute and very cozy. We enjoyed how quiet it was just outside the city and felt very safe. If we are ever passing through again, we will absolutely stay here again just to see their progress. 10/10 recommend!
