When the farm house was built in 1909, the cabin was already here. We bought the weed patch with the intention of starting a flower farm. It was a cattle feed lot years ago and the soil should be very fertile. We'll use the composted manure in the Spring.

Prewitt Reservoir and Elliot State Recreational Area nearby. Sunsets and sunrises are spectacular. See the stars at night. Wake up to the rooster's crow. We have alfalfa and corn to the north and grasslands to the south. Outhouse/port-o-potty is available. The train adds to the country feel. Irrigation ditch runs at least two days a week. Our chickens are friendly and used to dogs. Site #1 is better for small vehicles and tent camping. It is more protected. Site #2 is better for large RVs and trailers.
Located down the road from nationally recognized Optimist disc golf course in Ft Morgan CO.

This property has been in my family since 1900. It is still a working farm/ranch but we are looking to let a select few others enjoy our property. My grandfather built the lake with a d9 cat bulldozer in the 50's and we are just completing a sediment clean out and refurbishment of the lake. All of the trees were planted by my great grandfather and they afford lots of wildlife cover; wild turkeys, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, etc. The area we selected for camping is in a bowl so you have good privacy. The lake is stocked for fishing and because its private, no license is needed. The fishing hole and swimming hole are separate from the main lake and offer cheaper accommodations.
We limit ourselves to 2 campsites to the 100 acres, so there is plenty of privacy. There is some road noise and smell from the local dairy that is about 1/2 mile away if the wind is right.
Simple private camp spot - there is a swimming/fishing hole with dock and ladder. There is a year round creek and some small islands that can be explored. Fire pit, portapotty and propane grill are available. Potable water and sewage dump is available at main residence but not at camp site. This is designed to be a family friendly area that's great for younger kids. Area is also a pasture so cows and cow patties could be encountered and wild deer and turkey are around. If you have a larger family than 4 remember hipcamps policy is that younger children do not count towards the limit.

We needed a place to test some new gear, and this spot has a nice small town, Brush, just minutes away. The location is a backyard of a small ranch with chickens and very nice shade. Fair warning, there are trains passing through, the tracks are approx 1250 feet from the site. The host is as nice as they come, very accommodating and the area itself has virtually no traffic, but the freeway is within hearing distance as it runs parallel to the train. If you're looking for something centralized in Northeast Colorado, this is an excellent choice.
Also, a curious yellow dog may wander nearby, just checking on you. He's friendly and keeps his distance, so nothing to be alarmed about. He's probably the neighborhood watch.

We loved tents camping at Brian and Melody's. Kids had a blast catching fish and swimming in the pond. Town is close if you need anything. Very peaceful. We had an amazing time. Brian and Melody were great.

Loved this spot! I really liked that we felt secluded and alone but weren’t too far off the beaten path. The area is beautiful, the lake, the field, etc. waking up to the cows was so cool! The sounds at night were so peaceful, I missed it falling asleep at home. The portapotty and trash were nice adds to the stay! Brian was so kind, I am a vegetarian and I forgot food for myself he gave me 3 giant zucchini’s that’s fed me all weekend! Great hosts. There were a lot of flies (which is to be expected on a cattle farm) but next time I would bring some kind of fly mitigation.

I loved staying here! It was wide open and roomy with so many beautiful trees that they actually planted when they bought the place over 25 years ago. The two dogs warmed up to me pretty quick and it was fun saying hi to their goats, horses, chickens and geese. Very easy going and the perfect way to spend the last night of my roadtrip.

Great Hipcamp site on Stan's land. Stan is very helpful, the tent site is roomy, shady and flat. Enjoyed our stay. Close to some of the best discgolf in Colorado. Will visit again!

Great RV spot on Stan's land! He has electricity available and potable water, if you need it. Lovely farming community - Stan has some beautiful free ranging chickens which are fun to camp with. We will stay again!

The host’s were great and welcoming. Their land is very peaceful and secluded which is nice if you just want to disconnect for a little while. Pretty bad cell service but that’s what we needed so it worked out. The fishing pond and the lake were both very pretty and we caught a bunch of bass. Overall, a very good experience and we are already planning our next trip out!
