We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner.
Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park.
Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines.
We receive quite a lot of snow (Oct-May). We require that guests use AWD/4WD vehicles and winter tires to safely access our dome during snow months. Please check weather conditions and follow Colorado traction laws.

We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

What a lovely 2 nights spent among the trees and sky in Evergreen. The space is so comfortable and relaxing. You wake up to pine trees and delicious coffee in the Chemex. We watched movies on the big screen, made pizzas in the Ooni oven and soaked in the hot tub. The beds were just right and the kitchen had what we needed. We even had a deer family visit us in the snow. The hosts were so nice and great communicators. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect cabin for a family getaway. We enjoyed all the amenities: the big screen for movies, wood burning stove and hot tub. The bed was comfy and scenery pretty. I personally would have liked a normal coffee pot, but my son liked the drip pot. It was nice to have laundry onsite to wash towels.

What a magical, well cared for place. It was clear the owners thought of every special touch. We stayed in the big cabin on the property. The gorgeous views through the cabin’s endless windows, surrounded by aspens reaching to the sky, the wildlife, the peaceful quiet - all of it made for a fantastic and memorable stay. Ernest's A-frame was excellent! Very clean, comfortable, and well appointed! In addition to the comfortable beds, we enjoyed the projector with extremely vibrant colors, as well as we enjoyed the hot tub. I would recommend this place to others in a heartbeat!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the A frame cabin. The modern and minimalist design was really comfy- we felt right at home. There are many great places to explore and hike nearby. We enjoyed starting and ending our days appreciating the nature views in the living room. The fall was a beautiful time of year to visit and Ernest was a great host!

We loved spending the weekend on this property. It was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. The amenities (hot tub, projector, fire pit) were also great. Hoping I can come back someday! (As a note, the cabin and the dome also on this property are very near by so I didn’t feel secluded, but I generally felt we had the privacy we needed)

This a frame was the perfect weekend get away. It’s spacious, comfortable, clean, and cozy. We loved the hot tub, pizza oven, and projector screen. All the amenities you would need to stay in and relax. The property itself is well maintained and even though there are other stays there too it still feels private and quiet.

This was the perfect trip to get a mix of the outdoors with all the comforts of home! We spent so much time using the hot tub and the projector. The kitchen was perfect to make everything we planned and we were so impressed with all of the amenities. There were other people on the property, but we didn’t even notice and had tons of privacy. The house was super clean and so comfortable! We will definitely stay again and would recommend this to anyone looking to get away to the mountains while having all of the comforts of home!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this property! It was the perfect spot for a getaway with my pups. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and immaculately maintained, and the cabin itself is both charming and full of fun activities. We were lucky enough to have plenty of hummingbird visitors during our stay, and even had a massive bull moose stop by on our last night. T was an incredible host and made sure we had everything we needed. This will definitely be our go-to place to stay whenever we’re in the area!

Loved this spot for our family! In the summer the setting could not have been better. It is a cabin built in the 60s so of course its not perfect but the owner has done an excellent job on making it modern and providing all amenities we needed. Be aware that it is about 25-30 mins in to the nearest town with grocery stores and restaurants. We just picked up groceries on our way in and cooked at the cabin which wasn't a problem with the well stocked kitchen. If you're coming to enjoy nature and the beauty of the Colorado mountains this is the place for you! We did have a moose that we encountered while exploring on the first day and he was feeding on the trees right outside the window the second day. It was incredible to see but just be very careful when exploring. We would recommend this place to friends and would book again if we come back to the area.

Our family of four had a wonderful time staying in the A-frame cabin, surrounded by the stunning Aspen Trees. The cabin was extremely clean and cozy.It had so many accommodations and beautiful views.
Our favorite part of the stay was relaxing in the hot tub under the twinkling lights and listening to the rain on the tin roof. We then snuggled up together for a movie night, using the screen projector. My daughters loved the upstairs room, saying it felt like they were sleeping in the trees. We are looking forward to returning in the fall, surrounded by the beautiful fall foliage and warming up next to the wood-burning fireplace.

The wildlife around the house was so amazing to see! I loved being able to create that memory for our kids. We also really enjoyed the projector and big screen, hot tub, and having a little room to explore. The beds are INCREDIBLY comfortable. Decor is well-appointed, and we appreciated the thoughtful things like providing skewers for the fire pit, an A/C unit upstairs, and modern decor.
Overall, we would recommend this rental and were happy to book through Hipcamp instead of Airbnb to save $.
Things to note :
- the only bathroom is downstairs (2 beds upstairs and Murphy bed downstairs)
- my husband is 6’1” so he opted to sleep on the Murphy bed instead of upstairs where the A-frame ceilings are lower
- there are no blinds/curtains/shades downstairs for the abundance of windows
- there were no washcloths
- no ice maker, so BYO ice bags or ice trays
- hot tub cover was very heavy/hard to maneuver
- other properties are visible and close by, but a sense of privacy is still possible
- floor has broken or weak spots that need repairs

This place was great! Humans and animals loved it. One side of the house is a little closer to the neighbor than expected, so dogs definitely had to be on leash since they had a semi free roaming dog as well. But the other side of the house felt secluded and had some great hanging spots. The little creek and walkways around the property were adorable. Water was clear as could be. Kitchen had everything needed, beds were super comfy, and lots of things to do nearby! Love the area overall!

We loved the cabin was really nice and big we loved the space was a great nature spot to help unplug from the world and the problems of it. We traveled with are 2 dogs who love have a lot of zoomy energy and they were so good and the space is very open in lay out they didn't have problems playing inside or out without fear of them breaking anything and are one is a big lab we had to look around because some places not letting big dogs stay but this cabin gave us everything we needed home away from home we loved cooking in this kitchen we had a overall blast. The host was so helpful with all are little hiccups we had and was overall so helpful with everything. I definitely am going to recommend this place to anyone that ask my husband and I had so much fun we were so sad when we had to leave.
