We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner. Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park. Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines. We receive quite a lot of snow (Oct-May). We require that guests use AWD/4WD vehicles and winter tires to safely access our dome during snow months. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. This was the perfect cabin for a family getaway. We enjoyed all the amenities: the big screen for movies, wood burning stove and hot tub. The bed was comfy and scenery pretty. I personally would have liked a normal coffee pot, but my son liked the drip pot. It was nice to have laundry onsite to wash towels.

What a magical, well cared for place. It was clear the owners thought of every special touch. We stayed in the big cabin on the property. Camping here was absolutely wonderful! From the drive up to the view from the porch, the scenery was gorgeous. The site itself is a bit tricky to find which was my only issue. Otherwise the location is perfect, and the lodging was stocked with a multitude of useful resources. I would definitely visit again!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the A frame cabin. The modern and minimalist design was really comfy- we felt right at home. There are many great places to explore and hike nearby. We enjoyed starting and ending our days appreciating the nature views in the living room. The fall was a beautiful time of year to visit and Ernest was a great host!

This property was AMAZING! I stayed 2 nights by myself and I’m so grateful I found this site. The little bear cabin was perfect. Signage was clear leading up to the site. The road is dirt leading up to it and then gravel. The view from the cabin is great. Through the trees you can see the mountains, walk up the hill a tiny bit and amazing clear views. The grill worked well and there was firewood at the wood stove. The inside was clean and it was great to have the fridge/freezer, microwave and coffee maker. The cabinets had paper plates, plastic cups and some plastic utensils. The cabin keeps out the cold fairly well but it was a bonus to have the heater. The bed was comfortable and there was a cot below you could put together if you had another person that needed a spot. The porta potty was clean as was the site in general. You can see the other cabin from this one but it’s not too close. I highly suggest booking this cabin!

We loved spending the weekend on this property. It was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. The amenities (hot tub, projector, fire pit) were also great. Hoping I can come back someday! (As a note, the cabin and the dome also on this property are very near by so I didn’t feel secluded, but I generally felt we had the privacy we needed)

Beautiful views and quite comfy. 3 burner stove works great. Plenty of firewood in the area. Hammock was very comfy as well. Deer were in the area and bearberry grows on the hill. Would definitely stay again.

This a frame was the perfect weekend get away. It’s spacious, comfortable, clean, and cozy. We loved the hot tub, pizza oven, and projector screen. All the amenities you would need to stay in and relax. The property itself is well maintained and even though there are other stays there too it still feels private and quiet.

Great spot! Cesar let us stay and check out the foothills for some moonlight photography. We had the sound of horses nearby, some birds, and a very glamorous tiny cabin to stay warm in while we waited for the clouds to clear. Enough distance from the nearby properties and the other cabin to feel on our own, and a good little hike nearby through a small aspen grove.

This was the perfect trip to get a mix of the outdoors with all the comforts of home! We spent so much time using the hot tub and the projector. The kitchen was perfect to make everything we planned and we were so impressed with all of the amenities. There were other people on the property, but we didn’t even notice and had tons of privacy. The house was super clean and so comfortable! We will definitely stay again and would recommend this to anyone looking to get away to the mountains while having all of the comforts of home!

Booking the whole property felt like a secluded dream! Nights were so quiet and completely private, and it was wonderful letting the dogs roam off leash. The mountain views were unbeatable—especially with the evening fog rolling through. The patio was the perfect spot to watch hummingbirds and soak it all in, and the picnic table made a great place for dinner. We brought our own coffee setup and bedding, but there was a Coleman stove and some handy amenities available. The campsite itself was huge, with plenty of room for multiple tents and several fire pits to enjoy (when there isn’t a fire ban). The porta potty was where we parked our car, so it wasn’t a far walk at all!
