Lovely place! The bathrooms were clean and you can’t beat a hot shower. They had several bbq grills for guest to use. It was nice to be so close to Royal Gorge. Don’t pass up your change to stay here, you won’t regret.

We took our small square drop for a two night stay. The location was perfect for exploring Cañon City, Royal Gorge and the Arkansas River. The hosts gave great instructions as to where everything was that we needed for an easy and wonderful stay.

I loved the campground! It’s literally like stepping back in time. Very clean, hosts were amazing! It was nice how they walked around checking in with everyone. Quiet, cute, amazing hosts, full hookups…..Perfect stay! Looking forward to staying again!

Weekend Trip to The Hillfort
The campsite was perfect for us—having electricity was such a bonus! We had a nice, level spot for our Class B RV, plus plenty of space for our kids’ tent and their car. (Finally a campsite with true privacy). The views were fabulous, and at night we were treated to a stunning sky—we even saw the Milky Way! One of the highlights was getting a visit from some friendly cows from a neighboring property—we loved it!
It was also such a treat having Alex share stories with us—he’s delightful. And to have him come up in the morning with hot-out-of-the-oven lemon muffins his lovely wife had just made… just incredible! Wow!!!! -The muffins were absolutely amazing!!
Their land and hospitality were truly awesome. They made our stay so special. We highly recommend this Hipcamp and are already looking forward to coming back!

Weekend Trip to Starlite Vintage Resort
We love Starlite so much. Our visit was such a welcoming and enjoyable family experience. Dirk, one of the owners, was so friendly. He went above and beyond to ensure all his guests felt welcome and have a relaxing visit.
From the fire pits at each site to the vintage RV “museum” to poolside karaoke, we lived everything about Starlite. We can’t recommend a visit enough.

We really enjoyed Starlite! The owners put a lot of care and love into their campground. The grounds were very clean, lots of activities for families (pool, yard games etc), and the fixed up old campers fascinated my kids.
The pull through full hook up spots were each to get in and out of with plenty of maneuvering room.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone. The effort the owners put in makes such a huge difference in making this a great campground.

This place is an absolute gem in the heart of the Royal Gorge! The campground was beautifully maintained and the owners were wonderful to work with and talk to. Everyone here had such a wonderful vibe about them that you just couldn't have a bad time. The vintage RVs were such a thrill to see and camp by. Can't wait to come back again!

We had a great time tent camping at Starlight! Beautiful views and lots of fun lawn games. The hosts are really accommodating and friendly. We plan to come back in the fall to stay in one of the RVs.

This was the perfect weekend! From start to finish the staff was there to help us - making our tent camping as comfortable as possible, installing twinkle lights, bringing us a table and grill. We had a blast! Great grounds and kind owners. We are already booked to go back in October to test out the sauna!

This was such a fun and adorable campground. The variety of camping spots, the various activities to keep my kids busy, the proximity to Canon City, Royal Gorge, and good fishing on the river, made this the perfect place for our end of summer camping trip before school starts!!

Starlite Vintage is probably the CUTEST campground we’ve ever been to! Love the concept of having different vintage campers available to rent onsite. We brought our personal camper and stayed, and it was great. Easy to navigate, nice size spaces, hookups were all right there. The facilities as a whole are very nice and well-kept, especially the bathrooms, and the little shop onsite is great for the little things you may have forgotten or for ice cream/little treats.
We had four kids with us ranging from 7-16 and there was plenty to keep them entertained! The pool was great in the hot hours of the day and is also nicely kept/very clean. There are two separate play areas; one with the volleyball court, a little climbing wall, cornhole and other games, and another that is more like a playground for smaller kids. The night we stayed was karaoke night and we had such a good time, adults and kids alike!
The best part of all of it were the people. The owners were very friendly but so were the other campers, and I loved that my kids were up onstage singing with kids they’d literally only just met at karaoke or the pool earlier in the day. Definitely a family-friendly place, though it also didn’t feel overrun by kids. If you like the amenities of a KOA without the crowds, this is a great spot.

It's really hard to say what the best part was because everything was so great, the check in went smoothly. And our campsite was clean and the other campsites were absolutely amazing! We had the unimproved primitive campsite, but even that was nice. Also, the location near the Royal Gorge is fantastic. The other campsites consisting of. Busses and motor homes were a treasure and immaculately kept. Next time I come, I'm gonna try out one of their cabins or maybe the rock and roll bus!
