Absolutely loved this spot! The small cabin is very comfortable & has everything you need in regard to chairs, cookware, etc. My only advice would be to be sure to know your way out because Google maps got me there easily but there’s no cell service so be sure to remember your way back. Beautiful lake & Tim was so helpful!

This property is a beautiful hidden gem with amazing night guys, absolute solitude and responsive host. The cabin was larger than I expected with 2 beds in the loft, 2 beds on the main floor and a couch in the living room next to the wood stove. The wood stove heats up fast and provides house of heat without needing to reload and the propane burners for Coleman stove are perfect for cooking. Just bring some battery powered string lights for lighting at night and a headlamp. There are good hiking options on the property and the adjacent BLM lands.

Weekend Trip to Asha's Retreat

We arrived late at night since our departure was delayed, but the place was easy to find. It’s only about a 20-minute drive to Cripple Creek, where you’ll find casinos, museums, and family-friendly activities. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The loft-style second floor had two beds on each side, hot water worked perfectly, and there was a convenient barbecue setup right in front of the house. We loved waking up to the sound of birds in the morning, watching the sunrise through the window, and enjoying tea time on the chairs out front—it was truly relaxing. Overall, we had a wonderful stay with a kind host and a fantastic place.

The arcade was filled with of classic arcade games but unfortunately many were out of service because, well, they were 30-40 years old. Lone Duck was comfortable, people were quiet and respectful, and overall completely adequate.

What a beautiful spot! The drive out to the cabin was so beautiful, and honestly a hidden gem of Colorado. We ended up going to see Rita the troll which is about 20 to 30 minute drive, and did a hike to get to the paradise cove / Guffey gorge which was beautiful. it gets a bit hot in the sleeping area up above the kitchen if you use the oven since heat rises but there is a box fan, a porta-poddie and potable drinking water. Their dog Nash was the sweetest thing and we even got to see some wildlife! The main house was a bit closer than we expected based on pictures but we enjoyed every moment of the trip! Thank you Olga for your hospitality!

Definitely recommend this place. Tim is very welcoming. Missed him at check-in, but he came by later and we chatted for a good hour or so. Location is also a good spot, there is no signal, but town is about 20 minutes away and Woodland Park is about 30 minutes away. Right next to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, which is one of Colorado's International Dark Sky Places. The hut itself is simple and rustic. Communal fire pit as well as canoes and kayak to use on the pond.

4 nights at The Fisherman's Cabin

We loved our trip to the Fishermans Cabin! The sun would shine down on the side of the mountains to our south each evening at sunset for a stunning view. We were a ways from the river and thought we would be closer and also found out we couldn't fish the river because the fisherman's club has bought up the land around the river making it inaccessible to others. But we didn't have to go far to find a place to stick our feet in the river. The cabin was cozy and clean and well stocked with essential needs. Toilet shack was clean and not far at all from the cabin. Highly recommend a trip to this place. Lots to do and lots to see in that area! Or, a great place to just lay in the hammock, also provided, and enjoy the smell of pine and enjoy watching wildlife. Thank you Simon for the wonderful experience. We alos got to meet the grounds keeper who lived just down from there ,,Bearcat I believe was his nickname...super sweet man and he brought more supplies and water for us and offered more blankets if we needed. How sweet. Thank you Melanie
