While the lower elevations received almost no moisture, the higher elevations are at only 53% of the 20-year average snowpack. Given these conditions, I have made the difficult decision not to host campers this year due to the heightened fire risk. Weekend Trip to Linda M.’s Santa Rita Ranch

This was my second time staying here, and it will always be one of my favorite places to stop. Linda is a great communicator & even makes sure to provide curated directions, depending on which way you are coming from. Highly recommend stopping for a night (or two!) The donkeys are also a plus :)

We loved staying on Melinda's land! It was pouring rain from a freak storm and she generously allowed us to use her mudroom and her addition downstairs. Genuinely, she saved our trip. The parking spot was level on gravel, close to the other two campers, but the forest was just up the road where we could walk our dog. Neighbor campers including our host were super friendly. Close to town on the highway. Convenient location.

What a beautiful gem of a place! So scenic, open, private and the best host ever, Linda. She provided a great deal of suggestions on where we could spend the day. She’s an incredibly warm host that we’ll always remember.

This is my second stay here and loved it just as much the second time around. I’m in a 20foot travel trailer and it fit great. All amenities worked perfectly and the site is just so clean and private. There is nothing like stepping out the door right into a grove of aspens. So peaceful!

Weekend Trip to Lazy Rooster Ranch

Pictures do not do this place justice! The river is directly behind the tent, so it was perfect to fall asleep to the sound of the water! Community kitchen area has everything you need from seasonings, a grill, even a super neat pizza oven! 100000% recommend this gem of a place. There’s even a trail to walk to downtown if you’re feeling up to it!

Excellent hosts and lovely site! Linda was so welcoming and friendly, she gave us lots of recommendations for the area and was just genuinely lovely to talk to. Clear directions to site and the site itself is very private and peaceful. We would definitely choose to stay here again and couldn’t recommend it enough

This spot was perfect. It was in a great location close to the hot springs which is what we go to pagosa for. There are some woods nearby that our dogs had a blast in. Beautiful and peaceful. Totally will come back!

We had a great quick night at Joe’s place. There were so many amenities like a fully stocked camp kitchen, outhouse, shower set up, and plenty of chairs and tables. We didn’t have to unload much of our own stuff and could just use what was provided. We slept peacefully with the sound of the creek. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the property and creek! Our dog was a bit anxious at first but Joe came by with a treat to say hello and she immediately was happy and relaxed. She loved playing in the creek.
