Experience serene seclusion with breathtaking mountain views at our property, perfectly nestled in nature yet just a short walk from town. The property is 8 acres and includes a primary residence. There are many amazing locations to park a camper or van or even pitch a tent. Property is surrounded by empty land so very secluded but still close to town. Adjacent to the Mineral Belt Trail and easy access to East Side trail system.
We live in a house on the property with our 3 year old son, and Buddy the dog, who will be very excited to meet you and might come check on you through out your stay. He loves leftover campfire hot dogs.
Please be aware that this is old mining land and there is mining debris and also glass on the property. We work hard to pick it up and repurpose into art projects but it seems to be a never ending battle. If that is of concern this might not be the property for you. However feel free to bring a metal detector and your geology books and you can find a lot of fun treasures on the land if that is your thing!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Megan & Dan’s RV site. It’s located in an awesome forest — my dog loved being off leash & playing with their dog, Cody. I chose to have an electrical hookup for my Winnebago Ekko and Dan actually hooked it up for me on my arrival. The site was level and easily accessible (even in the snow) to the road that had nearby tracks for Leadville Railroad. Loved the train passing by… also, the downtown has awesome little shops, restaurants with very friendly merchants & locals.
Leadville is a cool town with the majestic mountains & trails nearby.
So much to do… so little time.
Highly recommend a stay here in any season!

Myself and a few friends tent camped here and really enjoyed it! Camp site has ample trees for tying up a hammok and spots for tents. Location is really close to town while also being secluded which was nice. Met Dan (Megan's husband) and he showed us our spot and was overall a chill dude. Great spot if you are going to be spending a day or two exploring Leadville.

Everything was great! The directions to the property were clear and easy to follow, and the campsite was just like in the photograph. The site had a ton of trees, which is excellent for shade. There were also plenty of flat spots to pitch a tent, five minutes from town and trails.

Easy access to Leadville downtown. We reserved with Megan and Dan last minute for the Leadville 100 and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Very nice and informative about where we could park and flexible about having a few extra people stop by to see our runner.

Amazing camp site! It was easy to back in our truck camper and it felt secluded as we were nearly surrounded by trees. Yet, we were just minutes from town. My partner was racing the Leadville 100 and was able to bike directly to the start line. The area was clean and our hosts incredibly accommodating to all our requests. We would definitely stay here again!
