Welcome to Juniper Spur Ranch! Directions: GPS Juniper Valley Spur....this is a short culdesac road with a road sign at the entrance off Juniper Valley Drive. There is a green pipe rail gate at the end. This gate has a combination lock. You will receive the current combination code 2 days before your arrival. If you are turning onto a dirt road without a sign....you are on the wrong road. Juniper Valley Spur is my short culdesac road with a road sign and a locked green pipe rail gate at the end. We have 3 RV sites available for campers to book. Please note that we do not have RV hookups for any of the sites. You will be parking on loose gravel and the sites are relatively flat. We can accommodate most RVs/trailers, if you are uncertain about the size just send me a message. There is a portapotty in the hay barn cleaned regularly and a water spigot for non-potable water uses. There is no shower available but you could wash off hands and feet if desired with the hose. Pets are allowed at campsites #2 and #3 only. These campsites are farthest from the horses and dogs. Please keep dogs on leash at all times. Our property offers a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. Nature lovers, extreme sports enthusiasts, family vacationers and retirees, can all enjoy the vast recreational opportunities this area has to offer. Lake Siskiyou is about 20 miles south and offers a wonderful 7-mile hiking trail around the entire lake.

This is a drier climate between May - October meaning some risk of smoke impacts from area forests, although the mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. Best to arrive in daylight to orient and take in the scene! Count on fair to good cell service, limited central wifi and power. The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Welcome to adventure in far north Siskiyou County! Firebird Ridge presents a fantastic secluded camp station in a beautiful semi-wild setting with huge open sky views over 50 miles of the Klamath River canyon and Siskiyou Crest. Just 10 minutes off the freeway, a variety of simple thoughtfully laid out sites afford comfy car and tent camping or smaller RVs and vans, with ample privacy. At an elevation just under 3000 feet, the Ridge gets lots of sun, with cold nights and hot days in winter and summer respectively. This is a drier climate between May - October meaning some risk of smoke impacts from area forests, although the mountainside location generally offers clean fresh air with stunning sunsets and excellent stargazing. Best to arrive in daylight to orient and take in the scene! Count on fair to good cell service, limited central wifi and power. The land contains over a mile of trails with vistas, rock features, gnarly old "bonsai" oak trees, native plants and wildflowers. Your stay here directly supports ongoing conservation, watershed protection and fire mitigation work around the site, inquire if curious! Wildlife is prolific, mostly the friendly sort however visitors should be mindful to avoid unwelcome encounters, and any small children or pets kept under close watch. Your host can address questions or concerns. The property is not a park, playground, or big backyard, in fact probably not much like anyplace you've been...prepare for a novel experience! If you have a car in tow please go to the top of the driveway at the loop and remove the car in tow before entering the driveway to the Hip Camp. If you are a bit longer just text us and we can see if it can work. All campers must be self contained with holding tanks. NO TENT CAMPING. This camp is for SELF CONTAINED RVs. If you arrive without your own toilet you will be asked to leave. Doggies are allowed and should be leased for the safety of wildlife. All pets must sleep in your RV. There are many critters out at night! There is a 20 AMP electric hook up to power. YOU CAN NOT RUN AN AIR CONDITIONER...AC.... ON A 20 AMP CONNECTION. You can use your own generator system to run AC for your trailer, motorhome or van. Generators hours are 8AM to 9PM. lease be respectful of our quiet space and only run generators when necessary. This was an amazing and private spot to enjoy views of Shasta. The mountain looked surreal and the star gazing at night was some of the best we could ask for. It is on private property but set back a good distance from the house with unobstructed views of the valley and mountain. The main gravel road was minimally traveled and also made for a great walk right from the camp site as the surrounding area is undeveloped as well. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Alex was also very responsive and gave us a heads up on some heavy winds that were expected which was a nice warning as the weather had been beautiful so the wind was unexpected.

My husband and I had a great time tent camping here!! We went during the off-season so it was extra quiet and the whole place was elaborately decorated for Halloween - including a haunted walk-through path, which was such a treat! There was a heated bathroom with showers and a cute camp store as well. Being next to I5 there was car noise but we found it to be more like white-noise than annoying. Our tent site was in the main part of the camp, but we walked up the short hill to where the other tent sites are and Mt Shasta is right there staring you down! It was beautiful. Also a bonus was all the farm animals! There were chickens, roosters, turkeys, goats, and more, and two cute little camp kittens led us around when we were exploring. We didn't get a chance during our short stay to meet the host, but she's provided such a fun and comfortable place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.

I can highly recommend this camping site. The views of the mountains and stars at night are incredible! We stayed at T5 site and didn’t have any problems at all to drive on the gravel road up there. We managed to do this with a small Prius. The camp site has also a small shop where we could buy souvenirs and essentials. At night they also had a small Halloween party, which was fun to attend. The bathrooms next to our campsite were very clean and well maintained. Five out of five stars !

Hideouts HipCamp Review I loved this place! Partly the location and partly the very nice people there. About the location: it's not for everyone,; it is a bit of a drive including 5 miles on a scrabble road that is fine. But you get out and away from everyone and into a beautiful spot with a great view. It’s also rather rustic that I like that soon they will have a bath house and it’ll be different. There’s an example of how they were nice to me: I am 72 years old and have some mobility issues. they were very cognizant of it and helped me get around a little bit. That was very sweet. I would come back every year if I could.

Patrice’s campsite is as described by others and in the hip camp listing. It sits in the middle of a large piece of property just past the town of Weed off Highway 97. We liked this location and site. We pitched our tent on flat ground that felt remote, quiet, and off the beaten path. Campsite 3 had a great view of Mt. Shasta, though when we were there it was covered in clouds. You should be aware that the Porta-potty feels like a long walk from the site (100-200 yards). Patrice is super responsive and will make sure you have everything you need.
