We are a small farm on a 1 acre gated property that has two RV spots and a bar shed. We have full hookups in both sites.
Our town is rural but it's still close to HWY 101. We do live on the property, close enough if you need anything but far enough for privacy. We host happy hour for campers who are interested. Although the hours depend on arrival and our availability.
We have a common area between the two sites that offered a nice fire pit. Our farm has 3 goats, 2 pot bellied pigs and 20 chickens that lay fresh eggs daily. We LOVE animals but we CANNOT ALLOW PETS.
Also, sorry no tent camping. RV's only. We do not provide bathrooms or showers on site. Don’t have an RV? RENT OURS! We have everything you need for your family. Enjoy a weekend on the farm and glamp in our RV. We have all the amenities of home.
Coming to enjoy the area? The property is just a few mins off the 101 freeway on the Central Coast. We are only 15 mins South of Pismo Beach, 30 mins south of San Luis Obispo and an hour North of Santa Barbara. The beach, wineries and shopping are all very close. Or if you are looking for a quiet retreat with some super sweet farm animals stay here and enjoy the farm.
We do rent both sites out at the same time so if it’s privacy you are looking for please message us. Or If you would like to camp with friends or family we can accommodate two additional trailers. Again please message us to arrange this.

This is an incredibly historic site in Santa Barbara history. 2 tribes of Chumash Indians lived here for 10,000 years. This is where Spain landed and began colonizing the area. In the 1950's and 60's, this was the site of the World's largest orchid farm. There is a book called The Royal Rancho, if you are a history buff.
We are a farm on the beach just North of Santa Barbara and Goleta, Ca. You will camp in a historic, glass greenhouse with incredible ocean views. Inside is a cob pizza oven that works awesome. (Bring your own firewood),,, a place to pitch tents and tiny artistic structures to explore. You will have a private bath and shower (Primitive, no electricity, but the hot shower has the best view in the world of any shower!) Bring your own toiletries and whatnot.
Private beach access from our property. We have a barnyard with a multitude of farm animals. Limited electricity in greenhouse (A couple of extension chords). The fire ban is ONLY for open campfires. The pizza oven and YOUR bbq or propane flame is fine.
If you are camping during the rain, be advised, it gets wet in the greenhouse. It's an antique after all!

SLO Country Camp was once a part of the Serpa Ranch, one of the early ranches of the Central Coast. It’s remained a beautiful rural pocket in the Edna Valley area of San Luis Obispo. It’s quiet and peaceful, enjoy your morning coffee listening to all the birds waking up. There’s a private creek not far away that draws deer and wildlife. Just saw 3 deer run through out property 2 days ago. Owls, red tail hawks, eagles, squirrels and jack rabbits we see frequently. And you can listen to the coyotes howling at night. We’re surrounded by rolling coastal hills, vineyards, horses, cattle and also land apportioned to the Land Conservancy. Walk down our road and then left up to the top of the hill for a panoramic view of the entire area with the city San Luis Obispo at a distance.
Our two sites are flat on decomposed granite pads. Both have excellent views and easy access to our common areas: big sink and counter, and a cold-water outdoor "beach-type" shower. Firewood is available for purchase at camp for those wanting to use the fire pit, or you can bring your own.
The San Luis Obispo, Central Coast has so much to see and do! Hiking trails abound, our favorites are Bob Jones trail to walk or bike to Avila Beach, Johnson Ranch and Irish Hills for hiking hills, the Ridge trail for a view over Shell and Avila beaches, and the Harmony Trail to walk grassy cliffs by the ocean. Montano de Oro is only 15 minutes away with rocky ocean cliff trails that lead down to the coastline.
We are 5 minutes from the beginning of the Edna Valley winery trail with 30 wineries or more I’ve lost count. Tasting and relaxing in great atmospheres. Our favorites are Biddle Ranch, Talley, Mailene, Chamisal, Bailyanna... but there are so many more. We’re 10 minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo, 10–12 minutes to Avila or Pismo beaches. Morro Bay is 25 minutes. And we’re just 5 minutes off the 101 for easy access to traveling. The Central Coast has almost everything for fun, adventure and food. Surfing, biking, hiking, ocean kayaking, paddle boarding, golf, wine and beer culture, ranch lands, shopping and restaurants and we’re close to it all.

Fold out dining table if you care to (or need to) eat indoors.
There is also an outdoor kitchen space with a sink (no hot water), gas grill (upon request), propane burner (bring your own small canister) and a patio table and chairs. We have a charcoal grill available too.
The creek runs mostly year round so feel free to get your feet wet on a hot sunny day.
We also have an outdoor warm shower and sink as well.
You are welcome to cruise the property and check out the chickens, ducks, goats and horses.
We have three dogs on the ranch, a curious and playful ranch dog Pluto (who will be your tour guide), a Boston Bulldogge, Astrid and our newest pup, an American Hairless Terrier, Cozmo, silly little guy :)
We are surrounded by orchards which have some of the best apples and pears in the country.
Seasonally you can stop by many apple markets and do a tasting. We also have a lively wine tasting venue less than a mile away.

Guests love it here: "My husband, friends, and our dogs spent Thanksgiving at Megan’s farm. Megan was welcoming, patient (I asked her a number of questions) and responsive - even on Thanksgiving evening. The property is in a GREAT location so close to SLO, Montaña de Oro, Morro Bay, wineries and so much more. (The weather prevented us from experiencing that and so much more but it’s easy to build a great trip when staying at Megan’s place.) It was a unique experience and if you enjoy or interested in horses - this is a great spot to stay."

Everything was great, thank you so much for hosting us. The other campsite had great people too. Our kids had a great time playing together. One tip for light sleepers, and this is totally out of the hosts’ control, there was a neighboring dog that barked quite a bit throughout the night, earplugs would be great.

Ken and Judi were fantastic hosts! They were very communicative and provided clear instructions to access the site. Once we arrived, it was easy to get settled in. The site is incredibly clean, well set up, and in a very peaceful area - we will definitely be back on our next trip down the central coast!!

We had such a great time celebrating my daughter’s birthday here! The setting is beautiful, and the sites are clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed.
Ken and Judi were so welcoming. Ken greeted us on arrival and showed us the highlights, which was a nice touch.
Close enough to town for convenience, but still feels like a getaway. We will definitely come back.

The site was adorable and well kept! The host came out to greet us and was so hospitable. Firewood, sink, lighter fluid, shower, porta potty and chairs were all available for our stay. The calming hills and peaceful orchards make for a perfect site. Would totally recommend!!

This was easily the best campsite of our trip up the California coast. I would love to return. The place was very easy to find. The hosts had thought of everything. There were 3 seating areas, a chandelier/ solar lights and great instructors about the surrounding area. Plenty of space - and a sink as a bonus. The outdoor shower was wonderful after a long day of hiking! Ken came to check on us and we asked about a great hike in the area. He suggested Islay Hill (and many more) - and we went the next morning. Great views of the area! The sunset in this place was the best of the trip - this is an A++++ campsite.

This was such a sweet spot for the night. Our original site fell through pretty late but I was able to book Ken and Judi’s place late to save the night. Ken met us outside even with the late arrival to greet us and show us the area. Would highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Glamping in the Canyon
Very sweet and private spot. The trailer was very cute and had everything we needed. There are other guests on site, but they were far enough away and the trailer was secluded enough that it felt like we were totally alone for our stay.
Well, except for the very sweet doggos.

We had the best, worry free, relaxing weekend at Ken and Judi's Hipcamp. I had a few questions about our doggos even before we booked and Ken was very helpful, kind, and prompt to respond. It was a joy chatting with Ken. The directions were perfect, the arrival was extremely smooth, the campsite was very clean, extremely pretty with lots of succulents, and accommodations were fantastic! The area was quiet and beautiful! We already discussed bringing friends and staying again soon! Ken and Judi were gracious hosts that checked on us at check-in and again at checkout! I loved the chandelier in the tree, the attention to detail with the accommodations, and Judi's display of succulents was breathtaking! The fur babies loved the experience as well, and even got to make friends with horses, goats, cows, and other doggos along the way on our walks! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We loved staying here at Private Beach Farm with our dog. It was a truly unique and magical place. Loved camping in the greenhouse. We made pizza in the pizza oven and did our other cooking on the rocket stove. The beach was amazing too. Had so much fun exploring and our dog got to zoomie all over the beach. It's really something that you have to experience as photos and descriptions don't do it justice.
