Hazel homestead hosts were very helpful and flexible. Their communication before booking, upon arrival and throughout the entire stay was amazing. They were extremely welcoming. The site had all amenities you could dream of including farm fish eggs. The entire property is beautiful and very well kept. The animals were so great! (The animals were not loud or anything that comes with farm animals, since they keep the property so clean) We've stayed at a few hipcamp site in the area, this one was the best, cleanest, had and most amenities, best hosts, and very informative. Can't wait to come back! Thanks for having us!

This is the perfect place for our family. The hosts are amazing and great with communication. Feeding the animals in the morning was a highlight for our kids. Easy drive to the coast and great space overall to relax.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hazel Homestead! Ann was such a warm, welcoming, and thoughtful host from start to finish. She was so accommodating and understanding with our check-in and check-out times, and we genuinely loved getting to chat with her and learn about all the animals. One of our favorite parts was feeding them carrots together — such a fun and special experience!
The space was beautiful, peaceful, private, and so thoughtfully designed. It is gated which is a nice added security feature. The two spots are sitting in the front of the property, with a large privacy hedge separating the main house. We especially loved the cozy fire pit area and barn bar, and having the whole space to ourselves made it feel even more relaxing. Slow mornings with the free-range chickens, beautiful weather, and the quiet atmosphere made this stay feel truly refreshing. We loved that the location was 15 mins from Santa Maria and 30 mins from San Luis Obispo airport. Ann also checked in throughout our stay to make sure everything was perfect, which we really appreciated. Thank you again, Ann, for such a memorable and lovely stay — we can’t wait to come back!

This Hipcamp is located in a very private, beautiful location. Hosts are very nice and welcoming. Our only issue both times we have used this site is the entrance, unfortunately. It is just too tight for a bigger RV. There is a narrow entrance which is made smaller by a keypad you must avoid and an extremely large bush that is unavoidable and scratched our rig both times. As much as we want to have this as one of our go-to places, we'll have to find somewhere else to stay next time we're in the area.

Just a heads-up for those with larger rigs: it’s a bit tight getting in, so take it slow when navigating the entrance. Overall, a lovely spot!"

We had a wonderful time camping at Hazel Homestead and wish we could have stayed longer. Ann, the host was such a joy and made our experience there even more special. It felt like we were camping at a friend’s home that had a variety of adorable farm animals that I got to feed. The location was perfect and the property was terrific for camping. We highly recommend Hazel Homestead for a camping getaway, you won’t be disappointed. We have already shared our experience with all of our friends and family who camp. Thank you Ann and Cesar for sharing your place, we can’t wait to visit again.

My HipCamp experience @ Hazel Homestead was great! The place was extremely convenient to everywhere I wanted to visit (Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, Morro Rock/Bay) - anywhere from 10-30 miles. There are so many things to do and visit in the area. I travel in a camper van, so safety, accessibility, and convenience is important for me. The proprietors were there to welcome me, but then left me alone unless I needed them. Hookups to electric and water were easy and very well maintained. The campsite was spotless and modern. Many extras were available such as fresh eggs, cocktail hour in a "tricked out" shed conversion (very well done), fire pit for relaxing in the evenings. In addition, maneuvering in the website with this HipCamp host was set up to make reservations easy. Everything was so well done. I will definitely book here again, as this was one of the best HipCamp sites I have ever stayed.

We had such a wonderful stay at this RV rental on the farm. From the moment we arrived, the hosts made us feel completely comfortable and welcomed us with a tour of the property. They were incredibly laid-back, friendly, and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
The property itself is absolutely immaculate, and the RV was spotless—both inside and out. You can truly tell how much care they put into maintaining the space. Everything was clean, well-kept, and thoughtfully prepared.
One of our favorite parts was the free-roaming chickens—they added such a charming, peaceful touch to the farm experience. Overall, this was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and welcoming getaway.

This is the ideal location for a private (only 2 sites!), relaxing, and comfortable retreat on the beautiful central coast. The homestead atmosphere is thoroughly charming, and the presence of animals has a tangible "de-stressing" effect. Be sure to buy their delicious farm fresh eggs. Despite its rural "feel" it is close to everything you might need. Lots to see and do within a 45 minute radius, from Solvang to Montana de Oro. The sites are clean and well-maintained, and the hosts have a talent for hospitality. Cesar's "happy hour" made for a memorable conclusion to a long travel day. He makes a great "old fashioned", too.

We enjoyed our stay at Hazel Homestead so much! We were in Nipomo to visit with friends so didn’t get to hang out quite as much as we would have liked, but loved the time that we were on site. It was clean and quiet and such a joy to have our morning coffee while watching the chickens, goats and pigs. The set-up is charming and the lights make it magical. We hope to return in the warmer months to partake in the fun bar/shed and cozy fire pit. Thanks for a great first Hip Camp experience!

We absolutely loved this location. This was the last stop on our week long RV trip and was our favorite spot. We had one small issue with the ground clearance on our 30ft motorhome upon our initial arrival. But our hosts helped us clear the same curb on our way out without issue. This property was quiet and beautiful. We enjoyed everything that was included with our stay including a chance to feed the animals, sample the fruit from the trees, and enjoy a fire and patio heater on a chilly evening. Clean and well kept, we would return in an instant.

This was our first experience with Hipcamp and it exceeded our expectations. The hosts, Ann and Cesar, at Hazel Homestead are very friendly and accommodating. They made it feel like we were visiting friends, even though it was our first time meeting them. Hopefully, it won't be our last.
This was my girlfriend's first time camping since she was a child. The full hookups, level pad, turf landing, and multiple ways to stay warm (including a welcome drink from our hosts!) encouraged her to go camping with me again. I highly recommend staying here and I look forward to my next visit. Thanks, Ann and Cesar!

Our stay at Caesar and Anne’s farm was absolutely amazing! The property was beautiful, private, and well-lit, with an incredible fire pit and a cozy bar right outside.
Caesar and Anne were incredibly kind, letting us pick fresh fruit and feed their animals—including pigs, sheep, and chickens—each morning. Interacting with the animals and enjoying the fresh produce made this stay so special.
If you’re looking for a peaceful and unique getaway, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Staying at Ann and Cesar's spot on their property in Nipomo, CA was one of the highlights of our road trip. The property is very well-kept and maintained. Hookups were easy to find and worked with no issues. Ann greeted us as soon as we arrived, showed us around the farm, and introduced us to their adorable animals. We hung out with them after dinner, had some great conversations, and they gave us great recommendations for things to do during our stay.
We loved our time at their homestead. It was a great opportunity to discover central California and we'll definitely be back!

Everything about this property is perfect for an RV getaway. Access is easy even for a large RV, with a nice mix of a shade tree and sunshine on the spot. Hookups were easy, and the friendly owners are around if anyone needs support!
The whole atmosphere is so charming! Their pet pigs, goats and chickens love to get treats from guests, and the hosts (Ann and Cezar) can provide snacks for you to feed them! There's a great BBQ grill, propane and wood-burning fire pits and spacious chairs to sit back and relax. And for adults, the cute custom-made "host barn bar" is a great place to get to know the hosts better over a delicious cocktail (or soda) on occasion.
The location feels very private and remote but is actually very close to a grocery store and the 101 for those who want to venture out during the day or need supplies.
Would definitely come back!!

We absolutely adored our 5 night stay at Hazel Homestead. Ann and Cesar were perfect hosts, and the dozens of thoughtful choices on their property and in the Glamping Trailer made us feel like celebrity guests! The trailer was spotless and supplied with everything we needed -- so much higher quality than other rentals we've stayed in. We had brought some things from home based on prior experience and left it all in the car when we found how expertly they had stocked the unit! Their knives, cookware, towels, sheets, bathroom supplies, etc all were HIGH QUALITY and spotlessly clean.
As hosts they were accommodating, friendly, and down to earth. We had a great chat at their adorable "barn bar," sharing stories. It's terrific that they live on the property, but they are also nearly invisible so you really feel a sense of privacy.
The farm animals were a highlight! Feeding them veggies each day was a real treat for us! We quickly learned the names of the pigs and goats and enjoyed their antics.
The beds were very comfortable; hot water was plentiful; heat and A/C just right; slideouts made the unit feel very spacious, and the bathroom was well laid out (a nice perk for a five night stay).
Definitely plan to come back! Highly recommend this great host family and their property!

This place is awesome. Best quality site (clean, level and nice turf, gravel and pavers) that lead to comfy chairs by a fire pit, or a full bar. Yes, I said a full bar. Ann and Cezar are fantastic hosts and super friendly. Great for the whole family. Kids can be entertained by the goats, pigs and many free roaming chickens while you are grilling on the barbecue and sipping on a beer or cocktail. Cezar makes a very good old fashioned, my favorite cocktail, that I gave a 9/10.
Definitely will be back.
