Our 42 acres is located at the beginning of the award winning Adelaide Wine trail in Paso Robles.
Our ranch was once home to a horse boarding and breeding ranch which bred Paso Fino horses, known for their beautiful gait.
Having been a horse ranch, it left us with some nice trails that you can enjoy during your stay.
We have some nice uphill walks to view your local surroundings while sitting to enjoy a glass of wine or you morning cup of coffee/tea.
We are on a well out here so at times you may get a sulphur/mineral smell to the water.
Please bring your own drinking/cooking water.
It is safe to shower, my hair feels so much thicker!
On the ranch you will see that we have 2 donkeys, Desi (black) and Lucy (light grey).
Along with our donkeys we have to friendly goats, Fiona (brown) and Sadie (white), they love carrots.
but please stick to one carrot a day each, we don't want to over feed them.
We also have chickens which means have farm fresh eggs. $5 for 1/2 dozen.
Up on the hill you will see Connie a cow and her buddy Samuel, the bull. they love carrots but please do not go into their pasture. She'll think you're bringing food and gets very dangerously excited.
Please feel free to walk the property and become one with nature while observing the local indigenous floral and fauna.

A beautiful spot in a vineyard with peaceful rolling hills with tons of privacy in Paso Robles Wine Country. We offer a level spot beside a barn surrounded by apple trees and acres of vineyard. There is a small fire pit. A perfect location for outdoor activities and wine tasting around Paso Robles Wine Country, secluded and surrounded by nature. Live working vineyard, may experience vineyard operations from time to time.
FALL DISCLOSURE:
Two nights of harvesting will happen between late September and late October, but unlikely disturb your stay (though we cannot not guarantee as we are an operating vineyard). It's kinda cool to watch if you happen to be here during our harvesting of wine grapes. If desired, contact us a few days before your scheduled stay to get the harvesting schedule.
Our tasting room is currently closed for daily tasting, the upper buildings on the property may be rented out for private parties and overnight stays. These buildings are approximately 300 yards from the hip camp location and are not in direct few of our Hip Camp site.
If you are interested in renting out the upper buildings, please inquire with host.

As of now Central Coast wineries are requiring tasting appointments by reservation under California law as of 2020. Weekend reservations are highly recommended. Weekday reservations can usually be made day of.

The property is nestled in very quiet part of Atascadero among hundreds of oak trees and nature. There are 5 acres of hills of oak trees, bay leaf trees, frequented by the tree squirrels, deer and birds that live all over the property. The house is occupied and there are chickens and a sweet lab named Maverick. The driveway is easy to get in and out of for a car, truck, camper van, Westie (or same type of camper van); tent campers are welcome too. It's not very easily accessible for large trailers. The neighborhood is very quiet. Water is available by hose by the garage (it's not filtered) and if you have a pet 100% needs to be leashed and please pick up their poop. There's been mountain lion sightings within the last few years. There is no bathroom/cleanout, power or cell service/WIFI. You will be completely disconnected here. Please let us know if you have any questions and we are happy to help! There are some great places to eat downtown as well as for libations. Paso Robles wineries are only 10 minutes down the road; ask for suggestions and winery 2 for 1 tastings. Hope you enjoy your stay!

We absolutely loved our experience at the farm, the hosts could not have been any nicer and it was exactly what we needed after a less than perfect experience at another Hipcamp the night before. I can’t wait to go back again and spend more time at the farm.
First time I’ve ever had a host pre light a fire for us as well, they definitely went above and beyond for us and made our visit very memorable.

We loved camping out with our camper van here! The spot was beautiful and kept clean. We had a lot of privacy, and were able to find the spot pretty quickly with the directions given. It was on my mom’s bucket list and she just loved camping out in a vineyard. We were a family of 5 + dog and It made a very memorable evening on our roadtrip.

We spent two wonderful days at this property. The place is beautiful, surrounded by pastures and vineyards, and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. We mentioned that we wanted to have a BBQ for dinner, and they provided us with a wood-burning grill, complete with firewood and fire starters. We cooked one of their rib-eyes — absolutely delicious! It was our first experience with a wood-fired BBQ, and we loved it! The property also has a fire pit. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you!

This was the perfect little spot to set up our tent for the night on a road trip up the coast. Just far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and restful, yet still close to the amenities of town and didn't take us too far out of our way. The spot was clean and private enough, with a bathroom nearby. And it was a treat to wake to the donkeys sweet braying!

We loved our stay at Dana’s ranch! We camped there for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Dana was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home.
